Husbands 60th Birthday Treat

Read the reviews about Crickleigh House 1st then decided to book. When we arrived we could park our car directly outside which was great for the luggage unloading. The Owner Phil was great very friendly and explained how things worked at the hotel,the room was lovely and quite spacious. Just want to mention we loved the way you got a breakfast menu so you could order exactly what you wanted for breakfast....which I must say Breakfast was brilliant all quality food products. Everything about Crickleigh House was brilliant. Would not hesitate to recommend or go back.

There was nothing to dislike. Location was great, Breakfast was brilliant...hotel clean and owner very friendly and helpful.

Crickleigh 3 night stay.

Hosts were very friendly , helpful and professional

Maybe a small fridge in the room , although my wife has sensitive medication which needs to be stored around 5 degrees Celsius. The hosts were very accommodating.

A truly amazing guest home operated by a caring, attentive, hard working couple.

We chose this lodging because of the location near to the train station and due to the glowing remarks of others. It was only a 10 minute walk to the lodging. Jeff and Edna warmly and sincerely greeted us and made us feel at home. A beautifully decorated entryway led to a relaxing parlor, an elegant dining room for the breakfast meals, and several flights of attractive stairs to the rooms on three floors. Our room #19 was easily twice the size of a previous BNB in Cardiff! In fact, the bathroom alone was larger than that room, with plenty of hot water and room for washing and dressing. Even though the bed is huge, there is more than enough space around it plus a sitting area by the window. The sitting area offers a hot pot for making coffee or tea. Guests get to select their breakfast choices from a full English breakfast menu the night before. It offers bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes, hash brown potatoes, guest’s choice of eggs and toast. Jeff’s coffee is guaranteed to jump start your day or tea is also available as are orange juice and milk. On a side table are offerings of fruits and cereals. We have only one regret, that we only had two nights reserved!

Loved the location, the staff and the breakfast! Also how clean the room and bathroom were!

The mattresses were a little soft, but I need a firm mattress due to my back.

Exceptional

The location couldn't have been better, we were just a short walk from the shopping centre and bars and restaurants. We only stayed for 1 night so we didn't want to be travelling far so this was ideal. The room was clean and had all facilities needed. The cooked breakfast was lovely and the hosts were very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again.

Our room was slightly on the small side, I think other rooms were bigger in the property. As we were only there for a short time it didn't affect our stay though.

Victorian elegance with a very modern but homely feel.

Decor was excellent. Room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Shower was delightful. Wifi was allocated to each room with individual password protection making it far more secure. Breakfast was to order and delicious. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Close to all amenities. Superb, will definitely be back and would highly recommend for others.

Wish we were staying longer :-)

A well organized b& b very friendly and extremely well maintained.

The room was really comfortable with a good sized TV and spotless as too was the bathroom absolutely spotless. Breakfast was excellent very tasty indeed. Parking was a massive plus to us and even let us park for 3 hrs after we had booked out ,fantastic .

Parking, plenty of room. Hosts were very nice. Breakfast was nice.

Only the stairs to the room but I didn't request a low room so I'm to blame for that.

Beautiful place , really enjoyed my stay

Loved my stay , very clean and tidy. Beautifully decorated. Excellent rooms and comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent . Made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very good location, not far from shops and pubs and sea front. I would highly recommend it. I will definitely visit again

This is an exceptional bed and breakfast! The whole of the interior from the entrance to hall stairs and bedrooms are of a very high standard! The rooms are clean and comfortable with lots of nice homely touches! E.g. 2 proper wine glasses, a bottle opener and corksrew! A bowl of Jelly babies! The bathroom supplied you with lovely Molton Brown shampoo, and shower gel! The breakfasts are freshly cooked and you were given opportunity to choose your cooked items! Would highly recommend!
