Right over the road from the beach. Deck and barbecue area to sit in. Outside gas cooker. Friendly hosts with lots of local info. The cabins are separate and surrounded by rainforest.
We knew the bedroom would be small but there was enough space to walk around the bed and all the outside space. Daytime road noise.

Perfect location to stay on the northern side of the Daintree river. Has everything you need. Great communication with the host (a lot of recommendations for activities).
It was not mentioned, that the bungalow has limited electricity, as it runs on solar energy, therefore no hair dryer and only 2 plugs (still all essentials and hot water available). WiFi was only available in the big bungalow (despite clear weather, no connection in the small bungalow), furthermore no reception, only at the beach. Bungalows separated from the beach through the main road (low traffic). Mold on the fridge door.

Lovely, simple lodgings but so well equipped. They've really thought of everything you could possibly need.
Nothing to fault. Jodie and Dean deliver above and beyond what is promised.

It is NOT on beach like photo on website!! But it is a good location, straight across road 50 metres from Bch. Cafe there as well, open 11 to 3 each day. Sunday night fish & chips $17.50. It is handy, in both directions, to go exploring & see everything. The cabins are super clean & tidy. Heaps louvre windows for fresh air, with fly screens. All run on Solar power, but no problems. They supply bbq with all dishes, utensils etc. Byo steak & salad. We would stay again. Value for money... June 2023
No Telstra service, but Optus service ok, weak wifi... (Free)
AND...the misleading photo on website.

Fabulous location right across the road from the most beautiful beach. The most incredible sky and sunset and sunrise. The host was welcoming and explained where the best croc-free natural swim spots were.
Lots of greenfly .. no fault of the property owners but I think we had a one-off swarm off greenfly which got in both bungalows.

A lovely little bungalow by Thornton beach in an excellent location. Dean and Jodie were great hosts and provided us with plenty of useful information about the bungalow and the Daintree Rainforest. The BBQ facility was fantastic.
A few things to note about the bungalow in case you’re unaware:
1. No AC (only a ceiling fan) which made it a little uncomfortable in the intense heat and humidity in January
2. WiFi connection was poor in some parts of the bungalow and we were told there’s a limit on usage
3. No TV, so download some content ahead of time if you wanted to watch something

The property was conveniently located across the road from Thornton Beach and in close proximity drive to Cape Tribulation Beach and various local sights. The owner of the property was super friendly and helpful we would definitely stay here again in the future.
We were very happy with the stay. As we are local FNQ'ers we understand humidity and being off the grid etc, therefore for travellers coming from Sydney, Melbourne etc need to be mindful that although there are fans at the property, the property cannot support high powered devices or air conditioning and for some may be uncomfortable in the wet / hot seasons

Brilliant location just across the road from Thornton Beach & the very good licensed Thornton Beach cafe (when we there it was open 10 - 2ish so good for late breakfast, coffee & lunch & for fish & chips Saturday evening)
Friendly & helpful owners.
We stayed in a cabin which was small & basic but comfortable & would happily stay again.
For the price & location there was nothing we didn't like.

Bungalow is across the road from Thornton beach I could see the beach from the balcony.. is basic but has everything you need. & Dean & Jodie the owners are great hosts. I really enjoyed my stay.
zero mobile phone service and wifi was a patchy but is good for off the grid.. and being in the rainforest nature was very noisy but that’s what happened when you stay in the rainforest.

for that medium size space, every little detail you would need was there.
the door of the toilet was a bit inconvenient for shaving. the wifi connection was limited.

The big bungalow was fantastic- huge living space, really well equipped and homely.
Surrounded by a beautiful garden which backs onto the rainforest.
The location is amazing, right opposite the beach and close to most of the places you’d want to visit in Daintree.
Would definitely recommend for a group- such great value for money.
Thank you!

Wi-Fi is limited and has poor connectivity but this is understandable considering location!

Nice Bungalow at Thornton Beach . Rooms clean and well maintained. Nice external BBQ area . You need to stock up at Mosman with any food and perishables before catching the ferry over .The Bungalow is not far from Cape Tribulation and Daintree for facilities and activities.
Poor Telstra coverage , you need to walk out 25m on to the beach . If you are with Optus you are covered . I was disappointed with the Wifi being not available to use on my 2 my second night . Be careful with the electrical stuff as they rely on renewable and it’s a bit fragile with heavy loads .
