The property is located in a beautiful little patch of the rainforest - you get your own little creek in front of the property where you can swim, or just dip your feet. Everything was super clean and all the essentials available in the kitchen to make and serve meals.

Perfect idyllic setting, immersed in nature. James and Ali are such wonderful hosts, and we even saw the same cassowary every morning coming for a visit. The cottage is very comfortable and lovely, and no mosquitoes for some reason, couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Location was exceptional. Property was immaculately clean and beautiful.
Suggest having some dry wood stacked somewhere for the outdoor fire (or remove outdoor fire) and long life milk for tea/coffee. Otherwise literally faultless.

This beautiful accomodation is exactly what we needed following our wedding. With limited to no phone service in the area it gave us the perfect opportunity to digital detox after the wedding and just enjoy each other company. After driving into the rainforest it was so nice to be able to sit and marvel at it. The creek at night was. soothing sound to fall asleep too. we loved our stay at the Daintree Cascades.

Located in absolutely spectacular rainforest. Lush foliage including the most beautiful tree ferns. Pristine creek close by. Lovely aspect from patio. Very large comfortable bed, full size gas stove and oven, big refrigerator.

Wow! what an amazing place, like our own hidden piece of paradise. So good to get out of the city and back to nature. Surprised my partner for her 26th and pleased to say she loved it! Loved the private swimming hole, and was immaculately presented. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Honestly liked everything

Really enjoyable stay. Nice to be off grid while staying there and just enjoying the elements. A great place for those who love exploring the outdoors. You will need to put up with bugs but obviously understandable.

Great private setting in the rain forest adjacent to the creek and cascades. A dip in the swimming hole was very refreshing after a day exploring the Daintree. The early morning dip in the swimming hole shared with the resident gecko, who didn't mind being photographed, fish and birds was just as good. The off-grid cottage is great for a tranquil 2 night stay for a couple wanting to get away from phone and internet. The location is great for exploring Cape Tribulation and the Daintree region. Sadly, we didn't see a live crock. Well worth a visit. Coffee and lunch at the cafe on beautiful Thornton Beach, 3 kms drive, is also not to be missed.
The bed head could do with a dusting/clean and the mattress is a bit too soft-poor lumbar support. One towel rail needs fixing. A little coffee machine would have been lovely. But these things didn't detract significantly.

Idyllic atmosphere. Private river pool. Complete privacy. Functional kitchen and bathroom. Very discrete (we never met them) but very helpful hosts. Proximity (car needed) to Thornton Beach and to a good restaurant.
The bed was not huge, but very comfortable.

Set in the rainforest, this location is stunning and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked it’s utensils, pans etc for self contained accommodation.

The cottage is beautiful, and the cascades are very close
We were there during the wet season, and were stranded by the flooded roads, so couldn't leave the cottage to travel arround

Stunning and comfortable way to be emerged in the Daintree rainforest and disconnect from technology and work

The location was unreal, nice and tidy driving in, surrounded by the beautiful rainforest.
Unfortunately our trip was interrupted on our second day with the owner turning up to introduce himself unannounced.
He stayed at the cottage beside us the next 2 nights. On the third day the owner pressure cleaned the outside of the cottage for 2 hours, the noise wasn't pleasant at our secluded rainforest retreat.
It wasn't as private as we expected and not having any air-conditioning got uncomfortable at times.
Having the owner around was extremely uncomfortable for us.
I'm disappointed to write this review but want to mention that without the interruptions of the owner we would have had a good time.

Absolute personal access to spectacular rainforest creek. Responsiveness of host to enquiries. Directions to property were clear and location was central to sites we visited. Spotlessly clean an excellently maintained. Property was environmentally green with its own hydro plant and solar. External fireplace with wood provided (though too damp to light).
Being in the rainforest it was very difficult to dry wet item of clothing.

The roundhouse was absolutely amazing. The layout has been so thought out and fully equipped with everything you need. Amazing place to escape from reality and be secluded. We enjoyed swimming in the private waterfall down at the cascades which was beautiful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
