About this apartment rental
Immerse yourselves in the colours and richness of the adventures of Marco Polo on the legendary Silk Road!
Awaiting your discovery in the district of San Marco, Ca’ Via Della Seta is a vibrant and characterful 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment, newly renovated and re-furbished by its globetrotting - or rather ‘globe-sailing’ - owners.
Passionate travellers and adventurers both, their fascination for the history of Venice and the adventures of the merchant traveller Marco Polo has found its ultimate expression in this exciting new property, fabulously located in the very heart of Venice. Exit stage left and in just a few steps you’ll find yourself in front of the Teatro La Fenice! Exit stage right, and the beauty of St. Mark's Square awaits you.
Upon entering the private Courtyard ‘Cuoridoro’ (Golden Hearts), the hustle and bustle of the day is left behind, while a second private entrance leads up a single flight of stairs and into your oasis. With six large windows overlooking the ‘Rio dei Barcaroli’ canal and six large windows onto the courtyard below, the perfect mix of privacy and Venetian life is achieved.
Sleeping 4+1 and fully air-conditioned throughout, this one-of-a-kind apartment redolent of far-off lands is handsomely appointed, its 4m high ceiling with exposed beams accentuating the spaciousness and elegance of the living space, the exotic mirrors, wooden flooring, soft curtains and oriental rugs further enhancing its seductively bohemian and easy-living appeal.
Wake up to the music of Mozart, who, in 1771, resided in the palazzo directly opposite. Sip your coffee, watching the gondolas pass below. A professional kitchen to rival that of a Michelin-starred restaurant is a bonus for those who enjoy cooking away from home, while the professional two-door fridge/freezer dispenses cold filtered water and ice for your sunset cocktails.
For those preferring to leave the cooking to others, local dishes can be enjoyed at the neighbouring restaurant, who may (upon request) also be able to deliver food and wines directly to your timber and copper-topped dining table.
After a full day of sightseeing, unwind on the leather sofa or armchair while the state-of-the-art Bluetooth stereo system plays soothingly in the background. Take a relaxing bath or an energising rain shower in one of the two exposed brick and beamed bathrooms, each delightfully decked out with timber flooring, contemporary fittings and wonderfully hip ‘rustic-chic’ copper pipework.
The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom features two windows on the canal, a king size antique bed dating from the 1800s, soft lighting and oriental ornaments, while the courtyard-facing second bedroom with its ornate coloured lamps, oriental rug, and wooden statues that are a feature of the closed fireplace is charming and full of atmosphere. Romantic and cosseting for couples, this room can also be prepared as a twin with two single beds.
The apartmenthas Wi-Fi internet connection and a 48 inch screen TV. The TV room also features a lovely sofa that can also be used as a single bed, while the Bose Bluetooth hi-fi systems installed in both bedrooms and kitchen, allow you to enjoy your music of choice wherever you happen to be. Unpack and store your bags in the private storeroom below, which is also equipped with a large washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience.

Immerse yourself in the richness and colours of the Silk Road right in the heart of Venice - your adventure begins here, as did Marco Polo’s! Water taxis can whisk you quickly from the airport or any part of Venice to within just a few steps of Ca’ Via Della Seta’s front door.
Minutes from the Rialto vaporetto (water bus) stop and even closer to the stop at Sant’Angelo for easy movement around the city, and to the ‘traghetto’ gondola ferry at ‘Garzoni’ crossing the Grand Canal to San Toma in district of San Polo.
Close to some of the finest luxury boutiques, three well-stocked supermarkets (one specialising in organic foods), to a local wine shop just off Campo Santo Stefano, and to one of Venice’s most famous coffee and pastry shops - Marchini - where locals stop to chat.
A 10 minute amble across the iconic Rialto Bridge to the Rialto for market-fresh food shopping, and within a short stroll of the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art and the Accademia Bridge leading over the Grand Canal to the attractions of Dorsoduro.
For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. Excellent place to stay in Venice. Close to points of interest, easy access if you use the water taxi, comfortable for a family of 5. Laura welcomed us very cordially and with magnificent recommendations.

The location is incredible, with a graciously appointed residence…and I do say residence…as it felt like we were in a locals home!
You cannot find a more centrally located place to stay in San Marco that is close to all, yet isolated from the throngs of tourists that are a part of the scene.
Marco was spot on in arranging transportation and orientation. Our experience was so good, we extended our stay in Venice!
Grazie!!

Great location a bit noisy in the morning. Overall great stay.

We had a wonderful time in Venice and were very happy to have accommodation with "Views on Venice". Very spacious apartment with excellently equipped kitchen, two comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, located in the heart of San Marco neighborhood but quite at night even for people sensitive to noise.
We are very satisfied with our lodging, definitely will recommend.

We have stayed at this apt. several times and will no doubt be back. Centrally located, we often were serenaded by gondoliers just outside our window. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is great and well equipped and we love the style of the place as well. Communication with hosts was stellar!
WiFi speed needs to improve and it would be great to have a place or a shelf to put shampoo and soap in each shower.

The apartment was beautifully appointed and very relaxing.
The attention to detail was excellent.
The service provided and personalised greeting and departure was exceptionally helpful when travelling from abroad
The option of a sliding curtain /sliding door between the TV room/5th room would help when a 5th guest is staying on the couch. This would allow for some privacy

The apartment is super clean and charming, and perfectly located for walkability. The communication with the management company was excellent too. Overall could not have asked for a better stay!
We had one tiny issue that I believe they will fix…there are 3 locked doors to enter the apartment (very secure!) and the lock on one of them is very tricky. Honestly only my husband could get it open. But we were planning to stick together anyway so it was no problem. Overall the apartment is just spectacular!
The layout worked well for our family of 5. As noted in the listing it is a 2 bedroom apartment. There is an additional twin bed in the foyer which worked well for my 12 year old son. But there is no door or privacy for that extra sleeping area FYI.
We really enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen and the restaurant that shares the courtyard with the apartment. Another plus - the secondary bathroom is quite large which was great since all three kids were sharing it.
I highly recommend this property!

Very nice service. The appartement is very centrally located. The canal view is a plus, it is amusing to see the gondola right below the window!
In October, One side of the appartement is a bit dark (lights on during the day) because it is on a courtyard.
Kitchen is well equipped
Wifi is really not optimal
The living room misses more efficient lightening, we had to bring in another lamp from a bedroom

The apartment was ok but the A/C wasn’t working and that was a game changer in hot summer days. We told the property manager several times and she said someone will come to fix it in a few days but nobody came during our stay. You should specify that the decoration is very eclectic. Nothing against it but my kids were a little scared. On the good side we liked the kitchen.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The location is an easy walk to St. Mark's Square. The apartment is tastefully furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped which made it easy to prepare light meals. We felt like we were staying in the home of friends. Highly recommend it.

Great place to end a 2 week Italian vacation. We loved the neighborhood vibe. Kids loved the gondolas and La Serenissima. We were tired of eating out all the time and so enjoyed cooking Venetian seafood in the awesome kitchen. The apartment is so beautifully decorated
The single thing we found missing was a corkscrew. Also found that 2 kitchen towels were not enough when we were cooking all the time

This has to be one of the best VRBOs we've ever stayed in. Each evening the sounds of gondoliers paddling by in the canal right outside of the windows was spectacular!
Some would sing, some added a guitar player, and another had someone play the accordion. One evening we went to the Rialto Market, bought incredibly fresh food, made a quick dinner, and just as we were sitting down to eat the apartment across the canal started a guitar serenade! It was incredible! I couldn't have scripted it any better. The location is also close to all the things we wanted to see and it was just the perfect size for the 4 of us.

The perfect authentic Venice accommodation! Great location close to St Marks and wonderful restaurants. The property manager was very helpful in arranging transportation and met us at our water taxi stop to take us to the apartment. Located on a small canal, it was very quiet at night. Spacious rooms could easily accommodate a family. Air conditioning was a huge plus. We would highly recommend.

Only a stone’s throw from the Opera House, this gorgeous apartment had all the requirements for a fantastic stay in Venice. Staff were super helpful too.

Walkable to everywhere we wanted to go, and the canal view was delightful. The kids loved watching the boats go by while eating breakfast. Host kindly met us at vaporetto dock to walk us to the apartment. Exceptionally comfortable beds and linens on par with any luxury hotel. A/C kept the apartment comfortable even on a hot day. Quiet at night. Washer/dryer were easy to use.

Wow!
Better than advertised, exceptional apartment, beautifully designed, and open those windows to the canal below and let the song and sound of Venice take you away. Highly recommend! 5 Stars all the way down!

Absolutely perfect
This apartment is located close enough to all that you need and want to see but far enough that you are just out of the busy bustle around Rialto. Comfortable and beautiful accommodations . I highly recommend !!

Great Home Base for Venice
This property was a fantastic home base for our stay in Venice. Very close to San Marco and Rialto Bridge. Annalisa and Matteo were very helpful with check-in and getting from the train station to the property as well as upon departure to the airport. We loved our stay here. We would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation across Italy.
Great property. Exactly as described. Clean, comfortable, and ideal location. Felt very much at home and loved the decor.
Enrica was very knowledgeable and hospitable. Wonderful host staff.
If I had to pick one thing I thought was odd it would be the clear glass door to the master bathroom. Perhaps simply a matter of personal style and preference.
Would most certainly recommend the appartment to others and would stay there again and again.
Thank you for helping make our venice stay so wonderful.

Overall Extremely Good!
The Della Seta apartment provided easy access to St. Mark's Square, Rialto and Academia, pastry shops and good restaurants. We enjoyed the windows over the canal for watching the gondoliers each day. The bedding was good quality and very comfortable. Marta was extremely helpful.
Hot water for baths and showers was not immediately available, especially in the larger bathroom.

Best Apartment, best location, best SLEEP!!
The Apartment is stunning. The location is minutes from the main attractions, so we were able to pop back throughout the day for drinks, food and most importantly the loo! I have a back condition and always worry about the beds being too hard, All beds where really comfy foam. The pillows are delux and we all slept brilliantly. The chefs kitchen has everything you need. We would highly recommend this Apartment.

Thank you for the wonderful experience
Loved everything about this place, convenient location, very quiet, comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything you needed. Was very warm during very cold days. Will be back x
The wifi didnt reach the master bedroom, we had to sit in the dining room to get wifi.
Maybe offer softer pillows. Water pressure was very low.

Best stay EVER!!!
My husband and I have been to Venice 10 times. This time we brought friends, who had never been. We chose this place, and I will say, when we come back, we will definitely book here again. It was a beautiful apt and a lovely area!! I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. Thank you for an Amazing stay!!

Amazing Stay at Ca' Via della Seta
I spent weeks looking into apartment accommodations for our stay in Venice and was so happy to come across VOV and Ca' Via della Seta. From booking confirmation all the way to checkout, working with the agents from VOV was such an easy and pleasant experience.
Prior to our arrival Cristina provided us with a step-by-step check-in guide. She then met us at the waterbus to walk us to the apartment AND she even helped arrange a separate water taxi for family arriving the next day. We felt so comfortable knowing we could reach out to the VOV agents for anything that might come up. Although we didn't take advantage of half of the concierge services offered, we definitely will next time.
In addition to the great service, the apartment definitely lived up to our expectation! It was clean, warm + cozy (we were there in Jan), with a perfectly stocked kitchen and was in a great location steps from San Marco. And to make you feel like you are really in the beloved city of Venice, we had a few mornings when singing gondoliers would pass by our window.
We for sure will be back to Venice and will plan to stay in a VOV apartment again. I can't recommend the experience enough!
