Thanks for accommodating us at the last minute! Lots of room for everyone & great views. Good location too.

My family spent New Year’s at the home as my husband was playing at the Drytown Social Club nearby. The house was clean and the property is beautiful. The house was comfortable and bathrooms updated. We didn’t see or hear any mice but it is on a vineyard so I would not have been surprised if we had. The bed I slept in downstairs was comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the wood stove and TV in the living room and played games at the large dining table. Joe and Janet were very accommodating and easy to get a hold of when we had questions. We loved our stay and would book this house again in the future.

Quite property. Did not spend a lot of time on location. Beds squeak way too much. Mice in walls may keep you up at night. Actually they will. Shower was interesting. We did walk the orchards during the day for some very nice views.

Owner forgot to send the number key and was unreachable for couple hours. Went with seniors, it was very inconvenient.
There was a dead rat in the master bathroom.

Beautiful property with a get away from it all feel tho close to small communities for restaurants and a little shopping. Wineries are plentiful in the area. We had a great time!

It was quiet, private and very nice!

I met the owner at the home at check in. A really nice individual.
I suggest wiping down the whole house prior to tenants arrival (really bad). I suggest getting rid of the unhealthy mold throughout the master suite bathroom.
We took one bottle of wine and left a check per the owner .
The house was as dirty as I have ever seen a VRBO entering the home. The refrigerator was disgusting. They had a lot stuff in the refrigerator which made our stuff to put away confusing. My daughter saw rodents and heard rodents all night long. The whole house had pet hair throughout the home upon arrival. The lock box number was not the number in the instructions. There was a pump of some sort that went off intermittently throughout the night.
The back deck was very impressive, however there is a dangerous loose board on the deck where a guest could injured if not careful.
The location was terrific but very hard to find. Google Maps takes you to a locked gate.

Overall it was a wonderful stay and would go again. A little hard to find with iPhone maps, but Waze worked better. The place was more secluded than I thought, once we got the hang of it it was fantastic. Loved sitting by the fire pit outside every night, and looking at the dark sky, with all the stars. Had a little issue in the beginning regarding clean sheets, but the property owners were extremely quick on responding and accommodating! They were the best.

Here 4 days for work. The house is well taken care of and it was nice having coffee on the patio in the grape vines. We enjoyed a bottle of the house red watching the deer in the fields.

This property was just as described. Very roomy house. Three sitting areas outside. We were just two couples but it would sleep more. It was wonderful to sit on the patio in the morning with coffee and evening with a glass of wine. The hostess was excellent at communicating when needed and very nice. Property was little hard to locate because streets weren’t marked well. Overall wonderful location though and well equipped. Would definitely stay there again if going to the area.

Much enjoyed!

We had a very nice stay, and loved the patio with a fireplace (and a glass of wine of course). Beautiful view of the hills surrounding the property, and it was fun to stay on a vineyard. We will have to return during a time when the vines are full. Our son's dog was right at home there.

We couldn’t find the house. There was a mouse upstairs and mice droppings down stairs bed sheets and ants. We left early because there was no water.

Our stay at this property was very nice and the entire group enjoyed the peaceful environment of the vineyard. The owner was extremely communicative and available. Do pay close attention to the driving instructions provided by the owner as Google will try to route you through a private gated driveway which is inaccessible. The house itself is in good shape overall and was warm during the chilly winter evenings. The fireplace had wood ready for our use which was appreciated. There are three "bedrooms" but the third is really a repurposed utility room which didn't seem to heat with the rest of the house. We opted not to use it. The primary and secondary bedrooms were very nice and spacious although the beds are really very worn and made a lot of noise when just rolling over. (It became a running joke with our group.) The master bath shower is amazing and was a little challenging to operate but was a very nice upgrade. The real appeal of this place is the amazing privacy as you are behind a gated fence just slightly off the highway. We could get to the main grocery store in just 10 minutes and never felt too far away from anything. As we were there in the Winter, we didn't really get to use the outdoor amenities but there are multiple decks, seating areas and outdoor furniture which would be amazing in the warmer months. The entire group agreed we would return to this property at some point.

This home was the PERFECT place to stay for a girl's wine tasting weekend! The home, property, check-in, and communication with property owners could not have been better. Very private but close enough to all the wineries and restaurants in the area. It had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. We not only highly recommend this home to others but will definitely return ourselves! Thank you so much Janet for making our weekend spectacular!

The kitchen could use a good cleaning. Flickering lights In dining room and living room could indicate an electrical problem and the house is in a fire area. Sliding glass doors in living room, dining room and primary bedroom do not lock. The deck/patio is a nice area for conversation. Bathrooms were clean.

Had a ladies weekend getaway and really enjoyed this property. Plenty of space for the six of us, comfortable bed, beautiful views and nice outdoor living space. We walked to the Tin Roof Wine Cafe for dinner, which was adorable.

My family and I loved this place. There was plenty of room to relax and spread out. The deck was so useful both for morning coffee and late night fun and games. I highly recommend and hope to visit again.

The house was nice. The wine was good. The weather was the hottest in history, literally. We stayed in for the most part and enjoyed the beautiful views and the great company.

This was an ideal Amador County location--a mile from the main highway, but exceptionally private and welcoming. Everything was super-clean, had plenty of supplies and provisions and a GREAT great room and outdoor deck to relax and visit. Kitchen was top-notch, too, tho we didn't cook during the stay. All in all, an A+ hideaway...with great communication from the owners every step of the way. Will definitely be coming back!

This is a lovely private and spacious house surrounded by trees, and with a view of vineyards. It is very open with large windows to take in the view. The home is warm, welcoming, and comfortable. It’s perfect for a larger family get-together.

I waited awhile before I could give an honest review.
We arrived in Drytown at 2:00 where it was a 104 degrees.
I immediately tried to contact the owners where I was ignored. Left a Message.
I asked if any way possible for us to go inside early.( I do understand rules but there are exceptions, or there should be) I knew no one had been there the week prior to our stay, so it definitely was ready to go.
So, okay we drove around and returned at 4:00. Went inside and the house was 90 degrees inside, when it was 104 outside. It was horrible. I was getting sick, had to put cold towels on neck. Not a fun experience.
Turned on air but was not working very well, probably because it was hot outdoors and had been sitting empty for awhile.
It was sweltering, brought all our stuff inside, all food for our birthday party that evening.
Then, and this was no fault of the owners, but in a couple of hours, house still hot, the power goes out. I called and at first was questioned and felt very unwelcome. I think after they thought about it, their attitude began to change.
We had to leave all our food in the refrigerator, no power on, grabbed our bags and had to stay in a hotel. Luckily we found one only about 30 minutes away. Yes, they had power, but our birthday dinner was sitting back in Drytown. We proceeded to have dinner at a not very good diner. But they had air and we felt welcomed.
The owner called late that evening and the power was restored and he had adjusted the air with his phone. ***
Good Idea next time to turn on air conditioner for your renters before their stay. I did not know he had the capability to use his phone to turn on the air.
We had to get 2 hotel rooms and a not so good dinner.
The owner, Joe, did reimburse me the one night stay at his place, which was great. Thank You
So needless to say our trip started off not so good. The biggest problem for me was not feeling welcomed.
The whole trip had a wrench thrown in at the very beginning with the unwelcome attitude of not letting us go inside 2 hours early and not having the air on.
The house is very nice and spacious as the grounds were too.

Great repeat stay
We very much have enjoyed staying here two times now. It is a perfect getaway for our family. Great large table for playing games. Unfortunately the weather was TOO HOT to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor atmosphere, but maybe another time?

Wonderful weekend in the Foothills
Three generations stayed together for a family wedding in Plymouth. The house and property was perfect for not only for the location near the wedding venue, but offered a great way to explore vineyards together without leaving the property.

Hybrid workcation
We really enjoyed our time. The grounds and setting are unbelievable, with lush green rolling hills and incredible sunrises and sunsets. Our border collie was beyond happy to frolick in the wildflowers and chase birds all day long. Internet wasn’t fast enough to support video conferencing but Verizon reception was excellent; bring a hotspot with you. I loved the wine too! Highly recommmended and we will be back again..
