I get my grown kids together once a year and the Riv is their choice! There's so much to do - swimming, playing (pickle ball was the thing this year), evenings relaxing on the patio, eating s'mores, and mornings having breakfast on the porch watching the sunrise. This is our 3rd visit and we're already looking forward to next year!

A private oasis in the Texas Hill Country
Beautiful modern cabins on a private resort with easy access to one of the most purest spring-fed rivers in Texas. Cabins have large porches, big campfire rings, and comfortable beds. The onsite hosts are pleasant and helpful at all times to meet any needs you require. There are pavilions with easy access to Lake Nueces and kayaks, paddle boards, and swim tubes available for rent. The cabins are not cheap but with two couples sharing each cabin it becomes more reasonable. For people that enjoy clear cool water for swimming and other activities this is an oasis. We will be back.

Wonderful Place to Stay
The Riv totally exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were beautiful and well equipped and my family loved every minute of our stay. It is located on the best part of the Nueces and it makes the Frio pale in comparison. We will be back every chance we get!

Slice of heaven
I can’t begin to tell you how beautiful the river is here! The cabin was cute as can be, clean, and perfect for our group. We had a great weekend! We enjoyed every aspect of the property. Easy to get to as it’s near the highway, yet so private. The private area of the river is clean and amazing. We enjoyed the day floating, swimming, and hanging out at our own private pavilion! The fire pit was an awesome way to end our evening. The property hosts were easy to communicate with, and had things to us super quick when we asked. I hate to have to leave!!!

Family time
We were happy to finally have a great place to stay in Camp Wood! Our group had 3 of the houses rented, we were here for a family funeral. It was such a great place for us to gather. We were able to share our meals and have wonderful family time. It was warm enough to get outdoors. We rented kayaks and enjoyed the beautiful clear blue water in the Nueces River.
The house was big enough for the 6 of us and the beds were comfortable. The back porch was a great place hang out and enjoy your morning coffee. The views were beautiful. Bonus was realizing that this spectacular resort was on the same road to what was our family ranch many years ago. We hope to come back when they get everything finished. Already talking about a family reunion!
PS. Cynthia was so helpful, she checked on us several times throughout our stay. She made sure we had everything we needed.

A Little Bit of Paradise
We so enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. May be due to the time of year but the setting was very tranquil. Cabin was very clean and the upgraded bed linens topped it off. Exactly the R&R we were wanting. Keep up the good work and service as your business grows !! Looking forward to returning .

We had a couples weekend and it was a blast! The cabin is adorable and has any amenities you could possibly want. The river is walking distance with it's own private dock area. The scenery is even better with gorgeous views
