Terrific apartment in the old town of Quito. Manager was always available and very helpful. Lots of space. Clean. And it was fun browsing through the library of books.

This is a 100 year old building located in the center of the historical area, the community is good, and all facilities like laundry is easy to use. We have so much fun here.

Clean, close to the center, spacious.
A heads up for other people who are not familiar with older homes in certain countries. There is no insulation, they provided 2 space heaters but it doesnt warm up the unit. It warms up the bedroom but the rest of the house is very cold. The wifi was also intermittent in the evenings/night. Be careful at night, would highly recommend a taxi and dont travel solo. Actually be careful if you're solo in Quito anywhere, a heads up to my female solo travellers.

The property itself is wonderful. A 100+ year old house that has been wonderfully maintained. We had the "Vista Los Andes" unit. The writers nook was perfect for giving me a good space to work and the living room with a fireplace to spend time relaxing after long days of activities around Quito.
The unit is full of natural light, and you have a stunning view of El Panecillo when you wake up. Sitting on the patio to have lunch and enjoying the view was a great bonus to this unit.
Wifi, hot water on demand, equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, and cozy decorations that speak to the owner's interest.
Esteban was so helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Thanks for hosting us in such a wonderful place 🙌
The "master" bedroom has a somewhat older bed that I believe is a "Full" size bed. My partner and I are both over 6 feet tall (1.8m) and found the bed to be a little uncomfortable. I would have expected at least a Queen size bed for that room, but it's also a small room that might not accommodate a queen size mattress very well.
The location itself is very convenient for seeing tourist areas in the Historic District, but the economic effects of COVID can be seen in the district as well. Almost everything closes by sun-down and I would not recommend that people walk alone or be unaware when returning to the house at night. Take an Uber/Cabify/Didi home.
That being said, I would still recommend that people rent in this building. Quito is a big city, and one should be cautious anywhere within it.

The apartment was clean and the location was within walking distance to many tourist sights.
While the apartment was clean and the host was professional and timely and the location was within walking distance to tourist sights unfortunately the apartment was also very close to an extremely busy street which means there was street noise all night long. Also there were dogs barking all night long. At midnight until early morning we could hear people partying 2 of the three nights of our stay and one morning at 4 am a person on a motorcycle parked right outside our window blew the horn of the motorcycle numerous times and yelled constantly for another person extremely loud for what seems liked several minutes. The environment around the apartment was extremely noisy and the apartment wasn't sound proof. Also the apartment was cold and there wasn't significant heating elements available to warm the unit and we didn't want to bother the host by requesting more.

Warm and comfortable very secure. Enjoyed the facilities especially the washer drier
Was on the edge of a more dodgy area of Quito

we loved having the whole apartment for a “hostel private room” price. Decor was new and stylish, kitchen was large and great for cooking, had a fantastic amount of kitchenware, showers hot and strong pressure, strong WiFi, large double bed with very comfortable bedding and linen. loved it all!
great location too, walking distance to historical district
on arrival we had to provide $200 cash as a deposit - some pre wanting would have been nice. also our card is on file with booking.com so it felt unnecessary.

• Airport shuttle service was provided and made check-in a smooth and easy process
• The owner and manager were easy to get ahold of through WhatsApp and their response time was quick and efficient
• The home has been beautifully restored and the owners clearly put a lot of thought and effort into renovating the place
• The common area had a fountain in the middle surrounded with an abundance of plants; we took this as a photo opportunity and enjoyed eating our pastries on the benches during the afternoon
• The appliances including the washer and dryer were clean and efficient
• Complimentary tea and coffee were provided
• Huge home with lots of space for 2 people
• Great value!
• It was chilly inside the house compared to outside on the streets; extra blankets were provided, however it was not enough; there is a fireplace as well, but we chose not to use it as we did not want our clothes to smell like smoke/firewood

Cozy apartment, very clean and spacious. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary tools. Toaster, frying pan, oven, knives
It was very cold when we checked in. It takes a while to heat the place.

The property is a traditional older house and is beautifully decorated with unique artifacts. It did get quite cold during the evenings and nights and we were only provided with one small package of fire wood, and had to buy a couple more for $5 per small pack, which we thought should have been included. Otherwise, we had a great stay here.

Casa Lunaloma is a beautiful traditional home that the owners have transformed into comfortable apartments. Everything from perfect. They helped us arrange a taxi from the airport and left lovely welcome snacks for us on our arrival. Esteban was there to greet us and show us around the property. We came at a difficult time as our countries travel advisory changed the day after we arrived and we had to arrange to fly h9me early and end our trip. Esteban was incredibly helpful and flexible and arranged a taxi for us to get back to the airport to get back home. Whilst we had to cut our trip short, when we return to Quito we will definitely be stay at Casa LunaLoma again.
The fact that we had to leave early.
