This place worked out ok but I wouldn’t book it again if coming back to Healdsburg. If it’s your first time to this area I would stay closer to town. I will say the area is peaceful with little traffic. I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee outside savoring the peace and quiet with the hummingbirds and squirrels.
Pros: feels secluded, private courtyard with outdoor seating. Good breeze since it’s on the side of a hill. There’s a beautiful large redwood off the deck.
Cons: There’s a lack of seating for 4 adults in the living room and what’s there needs replacing. I only found 1 frying pan and it’s small. Parking is across a small street so you have to go a little further with your suitcases. Overall, it just was not a comfortable place to stay for the nightly rate.

Within a Stones throw of my grandmas cabin where I spent my childhood summers, this place was ideal. Reached out to the owner about a minor issue upon arrival, and the response was immediate. It was great that she grew up in that house also, so we reminisced about the old neighborhood. The River was wonderful and within walking distance. Such a lovely relaxing time.

The location was very convenient. Feels like out in the mountains, but only 1 mile from town.
A few items needs attention: Broken/no towel rack in the bathroom; no dishrags in the kitchen to wipe counter, table or dishes with; very limited personal linens available. We had to use a washcloth and bathroom hand towel for kitchen use. Fortunately, there were only four of us, so had an extra set of towels to use for the kitchen. Messaged owner asking for kitchen linens. She said she’d drop some off, but never did. Some of the light switches didn’t seem to work, or weren’t found.
Other than that, the home was comfy, definitely rustic.

Great little cottage with everything we could need. Nice separation for multiple families if needed, and close to the river as well as not far from downtown Healdsburg. Great little getaway for our family and pups!

The good: Cute craftsman cottage and nice enclosed outdoor area that was really dog friendly! Quiet neighborhood. Towels were clean and fireplace kept us warm.
What could be improved: We ran out of paper towels and wished they stocked more in the pantry. No hand soap in the kitchen or body soap in the showers. We requested early check in on Thursday morning and owner didn’t respond to our message until the evening before our check out date with a generic message as if they didn’t know we were already staying at their property.

Maria’s home was perfect for our family’s weekend trip to Healdsburg. Comfortable, spacious and my 3-year old loved the outdoor space for playing. Short drive to downtown.

My friends and I loved staying here. It's a charming house with a lovely outdoor space and access to a great spot on the river. It feels quiet and remote, but town is so close that we were able to have a lovely night out.
We would definitely stay here again.

We were glad to stay at Maria’s cabin on Fitch! We are very familiar with the mountain so we really appreciated the great parking spaces that come with the cabin. If your party includes anyone with mobility issues, make sure you are aware of bedroom-bathroom layouts and big step in for one of the showers.

We went to Healdsburg for a family wedding and included a trip to Davis Family Vinyards. The house was awesome! Everything you need is there. Easy directions and parking! I will definitely consider this as our go to home!!

We arrived in the late afternoon and enjoyed a relaxing stroll to the river. Where the swallows were busy dipping and diving for food. After returning to the wonderful home, we nestled down outside with a cool beverage and soaked in the canopy of green beauty. A lovely peaceful weekend. Comfortable beds, nice hot showered and plenty of towels!! It felt like home! Thank you for our experience in your Fitch mountain retreat!! We loved our stay! Everything was perfect. Great Wi-Fi too!!

Perfect place for enjoying the beautiful Northern California scenery. A quick drive to downtown with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and wine bar. Thank you!

If you have a family of 5-6, this is a great place to stay. Soooo quite and relaxing! Parking was easy. And met expectations as described! Highly recommend for Passport Wewkenk!

Rustic in the woods environment but extremely convenient to the beautiful town of Healdsburg and Sonoma County wine country. Both just minutes away. Clean and comfortable inside area with wonderful spacious outdoor areas. Other houses close by but very private with fenced property. 3 bedrooms but one very small with small step in shower. Main bedroom very adequate with nice sized bathroom. This main bathroom has a nice modern shower head but an old fashioned claw tub with high sides that make it difficult to get in and out. Major concern for anyone with mobility issues. The third bedroom is adequate size but has no bathroom. It also has a nice sized kitchen area with large table. There were 4 people in our party all over 70. Great property for party of 4 with no mobility.issues. Keep in mind that it is very rustic. Do not expect a modern updated property. We would stay there again!

Visited with some friends for a weekend in Sonoma and we all had a great time. The home is exactly as pictured and is very cute! Will definitely recommend to folks looking for a spot in and around Healdsburg.

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet, comfortable cottage. The beds were comfortable and the gas fireplace was a bonus on the chilly nights. Be sure to read the previous comments carefully, as there are comments indicating certain items that are not included, that should be. These include washcloths and dishwasher detergent for starters. We did not contact the owner about these items since we were only there 2 nights. Overall a nice stay.

Lovely spot a few minutes from downtown Healdsburg by car. Has everything you need, comfortable beds and linens, nice quiet street. Would recommend!

Nice location in the redwoods, convenient to town. Nice outdoor seating area. The beds were comfortable. We were disappointed in the kitchen. There was a Keurig coffee pot but no pods provided. No information had been given that you needed to bring your own. There was a coffee pour over with an electric kettle. Access to the river was not available based on the directions of the owner. There was information given on access to the river via some stairs off the road. However there is new construction in the area where the stairs should have been.

This home was a great place to stay for the weekend in Healdsburg! We enjoyed eating on the patio outside, walking down to the river, and the short drive into town for food and shopping.

We wanted to get out of the city for a few days. Loved to convenient location to Healdsburg and to the river. Would definitely book again!

The house is cute, and comfortably fit 3 adults to experience all Healdsburg had to offer. We did expect (and wish) it was cleaner. Also, it was quite hot when we were there, but the portable A/C unit blew a fuse and, when it was fixed, it was set at a stifling 86 degrees - it was hot-hot-hot when we returned from a day of exploring.

Had a great time staying at this quiet secluded home. Maria was very helpful and responsive and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time in the front yard and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Cozy and unique rental, with a beautiful outdoor space!

The property is old, but cute. The outdoor space is very good. It was very close to where we needed to be for my daughter's wedding. We did not have bath towels as described. 4 towels for 6 people. No hand towels, wash cloths or dish towels. Towels that were provided really need to be replaced. No xtra toilet or paper towels. I was concerned with cleaniness of towels and sheets. The ones in the bathroom off the kitchen were dirty and just refolded, which I did not know until I used. This really upset me!! I was not stasified with the response of the owner who would not confirm all linens and sheets are washed between vists.

Charming and unique
Quirky, full of character, with an excellent library, this place was perfect for kids. Loved the front yard area, which was fully enclosed and private, with lavender growing, and ripening blackberries. The back bedroom gets hot and the windows don't open, but we managed to cool it with fans and open doors. You can walk to the river, where you'll find a nice beach, in less than 10 minutes. If you plan to do a lot of chopping/cooking, consider bringing your own sharp chef's knife.

Beautiful secluded cottage
We had a much needed respite. The cottage is delightfully decorated and oriented to the outdoors. The beds were comfortable and cozy. Great Wi-Fi, easy TV access to all our favs. We will be back with friends. Perfect space for a small gathering.

Charming and comfortable house with lots of special touches
The house was more like a cozy cabin that felt miles away! The beds and bedding were super comfortable. The living room and kitchen space was functional and spacious for the five of us. The outdoor patio was a great place to hang out. The location was convenient for all our events in the Healdsburg area (some wine tasting, a rehearsal dinner and a wedding). We enjoyed our stay immensely -- so much better than a sterile hotel!

Charming Cottage
Stayed for a work event in Healdsburg and ended up falling in love with this property. Equipped with all the creature comforts and special character that remind you you’re on an adventure. Only a 10min drive to the hub-bub of activity down at the square and a 5 min walk to a semi-secluded (uncongested) part of the Russian River made for the perfect escape from life’s stresses. In all, a great stay. We can’t wait to rebook.

Great Cottage and Location
This cottage is pretty much as described - comfy and quaint. Not far from Healdsburg center, which is a wonderful town. Had our dogs with us and there is a small fenced yard so that they were safe as we sat outside on the comfy outdoor furniture with them.

Perfect, cozy, family gathering!
From the time we opened the gate, we were hooked. The garden is lovely, even in late fall-- there are loads of windows, sweet, quirky little spaces, and the fireplace was an instant gathering point. We found an awesome supply of books and games--and enough privacy space to retreat as needed. It was simply charming!

Great get-away
Maria - thank you for staying in your house. We truly enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy. The house was plenty large, the extra room / BR was great for our 16 year old (even though a bit chilly without the heat, but it did not bother him). The living room is cozy with the built in fire place, and the dog enjoyed the enclosed yard to roam around and the dog park at walking distance. We all appreciated getting away for a few days and enjoy Healdsburg, Russian River and surroundings.

Great space to relax after exploring wine country
Relaxing, cozy space with a beautiful fenced in yard. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious. Minimal cooking supplies but adequate for making breakfasts and snacks. Could have used a few more towels and blankets but all in all a very comfortable space.

Great stay - included friendly cat visitor!
We loved our stay, the location was great, accommodations very comfortable and there was a friendly neighborhood cat who greeted us on the porch each day. Would definitely stay again!

October Visit
Only part of our group ended up going to CA, however, their impression of the rental was not good. Things are worn out & dingy. No exterior lights. The 3rd bedroom was not insulated. The road to get to the house was terrible. The rental was not worth the amount we paid.

Quiet Mountain Cabin
A great wine country getaway. Close to Healdsburg and local vineyards. Great patio for coffee sipping, yoga, or evening gatherings.

Lovely home and surroundings - the pictures do not do it justice. We spent a lot of time on the outdoor sofas in the private fenced-in patio, enjoying the trees, the barbecue, and and evening (the string of hanging lights gave a great ambiance. The kitchen and indoor living room had everything we needed. The semi-secluded third bedroom (with it's own bathroom and entrance) was convenient for a guest who arrived late. The hosts were lovely - very responsive and helpful (Thank you both!)We'll happily stay here again next time we're headed to this part of Sonoma county!
