A cozy place in the middle of a charming village in a beautiful area.

This truly was a cozy cottage! The location was perfect; super close to everything. Yet, the street/area was very quiet; I slept with an open window. Host's instructions were very clear. I will definitely return!

The Cosy Cottage is correctly named

Very cute & very well equipped. Included freezer in the kitchen, which wasn't mentioned in the listing. Bedroom is big, loads of hangers in large wardrobe & very nice, new bathroom. Location is excellent for walks & everything in the town, which is also a really nice place to spend a few days.

Because we had unusually glorious weather, the outside area was disappointing, but we were out all the time, so it was no big deal. The 'dining' area is a bit of an exaggeration but adequate for breakfast. Maybe not so comfy to eat an evening meal.

Small but comfortable cosy retreat in a picturesque historic town full of nice pubs and shops

The cottage is charmingly renovated, it is certainly small and cosy with a winding staircase but it is well appointed with a brilliant bathroom and well supplied kitchen. It has efficient heating and everything needed for a pleasant stay in this lovely picturesque town. The hosts supplied all the information needed to enjoy the local pubs and restaurants. Kirkby Lonsdale is interesting in itself and a good base for exploring Yorkshire and Cumbria.

Not the fault of the hosts, but the resident’s parking permit supplied isn’t very useful as there are few places to park. We should have paid 21 pounds for three days at the council car park, it would have been less stressful. Also bear in mind that the streets are narrow and there is a double yellow line outside the cottage. The cottage is in a terrace with the front door not visible from the street. Once you have found it, there is no problem.

The comfiest cosy cottage

The cottage was super clean, super comfortable and super cosy! The electric fire in the living room, and the extra long bath upstairs were nice touches to warm us up after some very wet walks. The TV was great, we took a HDMI cable and an adapter so we could mirror our devices and it worked like a treat, but there were also lots of DVDs to choose from! We really really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely visit again :)

Fabulous stay, a lovely little cottage which was clean, comfortable with everything you need.. Set right in the centre of beautiful Kirkby Lonsdale, ideal for all local facilities. Would certainly visit Cosy Cottage again

Hidden Gem that you don’t want to leave

Cottage was very clean, well equipped and home from home. Downstairs had a really cosy lounge with Skye tv and a fully fitted kitchen with everything you would need to cater at home. upstairs was more like being in a hotel, the bedroom has a very comfy king size bed with lovely bed linen and wardrobes had ample storage for clothes. Bathroom was vey nice with large bath and shower and all the little extras for washing and grooming and some lovely soft white towelling robes were provided. Location is excellent with everything on your door step and added bonus a very useful parking pass for all car parks in village. Owner was on hand and very helpful if needed at anytime.

I can honestly say there was nothing we didn’t like about the property

Perfectly located. Seconds from the Main Street but really quiet. Fabulous bathroom Warm and cosy Lovely large bedroom Parking permit supplied was great, especially during the busy Christmas market weekend

We loved it (we like Kirkby Lonsdale a lot and this wasnt our first nor will it be our last stay)

Location - easy to walk to all facilities. Parking card for free use at car park only a few minutes walk away. No problem. Although on busy street, very good sound proofing

One or two issues about settling in to a different place to home. Easily sorted with calls to host.

A comfy cosy cottage built for 2

A lovely long bath and fluffy towels added a touch if hotel chic.

Noisy late night revellers leaving the town and a few cars passing below the bedroom window early in the morning woke us up. I guess we should have considered that possibility when booking such a central location.

Brilliant location and very cute. Hosts were super helpful when I said I needed extra bedcovers and they were flexible about an earlier check in time too which was great

My only negative is that although it is a lovely cottage, Cosy Cottage isn’t actually that ‘cosy’. More throws, blankets and cosy cushions would help, both upstairs and downstairs. Also although it had a fabulously boujie bathroom, it was hard to run a hot bath - the water running out of the tap didn’t stay hot long enough.

Absolutely first class & wonderful in every way.

The cosy cottage was perfect in every way. The facilities especially in the bedroom and bathroom would not have been out of place in a 5 Star Hotel. Towels superb. Parking Disc/voucher excellent. Location for eating out and the lovely local shops was ideal. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending 6 Mitchelgate and will positively Return.
