This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Red Lion as was looking forward to it once again, this Pub is so Welcoming & Cosy that it's such a pleasure to stay there, from the Friendliness off the Staff to the Great meals & Breakfasts from the Chef Sam, Spot on, on All counts. The place is like a Tardis there's Rooms and Add ons everywhere 😀 Amazing
There's Nothing to not like! From the moment you enter till the moment you leave.

A very friendly reception in the morning . The people were very kind and helpful .
The mattresses were old and uncomfortable . I could feel every spring on one of them .

Home from home. The Food was incredible. For a proper traditional, family ran pub, look no further.
Make sure you arrive hungry as the food was very generous portion sizes.

The Red Lion was very clean and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb good quality local ingredients.... better than many places I have stayed in
The bed could have been a double.

Excellent price, excellent full breakfast nice and friendly folks running it. Nice tea set up. Warm shower.
Beds were saggy and uncomfortable. Noisy. We could hear folks upstairs in the pub and then our neighbors when they arrived home. The noise made sleeping difficult.

Food was of a good standard and the pub - it is more of a pub than an inn - had a decent garden. Staff were helpful and pleasant but looked run off their feet on the Sunday afternoon when I arrived.
ituated in a suburb of Prestatyn, so not convenient for town/station/beach/other facilities. Staff were generally helpful but whole place, and room I stayed in, looked run-down and in need of some money spent on it. Room was passable for a night's stay but very basic. with no natural light, cracked sink and broken shelf above bathroom sink. Two single beds in room - not much more than wooden boards with a couple of mattresses on top.

The staff were friendly, good breakfast. We stopped here walking Offa's Dyke Path it was a good value for money.
The room should have been cleaner, the window had a fence in front of it so no natural daylight which made it gloomy and depressing. We ate in the bar and were asked to move table so we were by the toilets which was unpleasant. However they are doing a great job providing adequate accommodation at a good price.

Staff were great 😃 and friendly.. good breakfast
All good. Mindful it's 45 quid b and b so you get what you pay for. Great value for money and would stay again

The hosts and staff were really friendly and the food was great. Room was spacious and comfortable.
The only minor observation was the fan in the bathroom was quite loud

Decor little tired.

Big thanks to all the staff at the Red lion and especially Tracy and Ben the chef .
Cooked breakfast is amazing but beware it’s huge so if you aren’t a big morning eater then go for half breakfast which is ample.
I’ve been going to the Red lion restaurant for years with family as my Dad lives nearby and it’s a gem of a place to eat & drink and plus stay over.
Enjoyed chatting to the owner … very friendly chap .

Excellent value for money with welcoming and accommodating staff. Rooms are by no means glamorous but for the price they're not going to be. Most importantly they're warm and clean. The pub itself is a lovely old school pub with dark wood and many ornaments. We ate in the evening in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The cooked breakfast the following day was really nice too and staff were attentive making sure we had everything we wanted.

The Red Lion is a very friendly and welcoming Pub, the breakfast is generous and tasty.
There is a large selection on the evening menu and some evenings they offer meal deals.
A large car park for ease of parking.
The accommodation was quite roomy but fairly basic and lacked some of the finishing touches.
The bathroom had a good shower but lacked the fixtures and fittings that you would expect, toilet roll holder, utility shelf at the sink and also had a noisy extractor fan.
