While in a great location for us, the house itself was extremely disappointing. We arrived to discover that there is a unit downstairs that is used by the owners. Therefore we did not have access to the shaded areas downstairs in the yard. They had numerous visitors coming with large cars coming in the yeard which was a concerns with our small kids. The family were also sitting outside smoking which affected our use of the balcony in the evening. The upstairs unit was ok. However many flyscreens were broken, despite being eaten alive by mosquitos, this is also a significant safety issue with small kids as it left an upstairs window with no barrier. There is only one fan for the 4 bedrooms which during the hot weather a fan for each room would be beneficial. The kitchen supplies are absolute bare minimum. There is no shade on the balcony at all, so only really able to use in the evening. I would normally overlook some of these small things, but our whole stay was tainted by the family staying below. This is an upstairs unit not a house!

Great beach view
Great beach view
Overall we had a nice stay at this property. The kids had fun and the beach was pretty much in front of the house. Josie was really nice and very accommodating with our needs. Once flatscreens are installed and cover of some sort on the balcony to have alittle shade from the heat it would be great. We will go back again . Thanks Josie and Paul

Good

This accommodation is only meters away from the waters and a walking track which made the stay very relaxing. Great for morning and evening walks and to watch sunset. The house has a spacious lounge and dining areas and a long verandah with a view of the ocean. The beds are comfortable and the furniture are in good condition. Overall a good place to stay to unwind and relax. However, there were a few disappointments which the owners can easily address: 1. Kitchen is poorly equipped e.g. no dishwashing liquid provided. 2. No basic toiletries e.g. hand-soap or handwash. 3. Insufficient toilet paper which we had to request. 4. Some of the windows looked like they haven’t been cleaned for a while. Our biggest disappointment was when we reported the basin in the bathroom was partially blocked making the water flow very slowly to the extent that it practically became unusable, there was no response from the owner. We stayed 3 nights -so we had to suffer this inconvenience during the entire stay, which was a particular problem in the mornings. Some general comments about the location and its surrounds which others may find helpful: The pristine St . Leonard’s beach is only a 15 min drive and St Leonard’s hotel/pub has a good lunch menu and friendly staff. A few cafes/restaurants on Newcombe street only 6 min drive, where you can get great coffee and also good choice of lunch or dinner. St. Leonard’s salt lagoon is worth a visit, if you don’t mind the smell at the approach. We would recommend this accommodation if the owners take some care to address the items we mentioned above.

Spacious place with poor amenities
Spacious place with poor amenities
Shower drain was blocked, fly screens were ripped and we couldn't open the windows. Place was full of dust and spider Webb's and spiders were in the room. No bins in the bathrooms and no cleaning products were in the kitchen.

Great Location
Great Location
This stay was presented clean and tidy, it gives a nice boutique hotel feeling but with enough space and utilities for decent sized groups. Right on the the beach with beautiful views and a 25 minute walk into town along a nice beach trail. This property was a great fit for my group of friends and I to celebrate NYE 2021. The host always had great communication, we spoke many times, in person and over the phone, excellent service and super friendly. Would stay here again!

Wedding celebrations
Wedding celebrations
We stayed for 3 nights at this property prior to and during the festivities of our daughter’s wedding at Terindah Estate. Josie and her family could not have been more welcoming leaving us a bottle of champagne and treats bringing us champagne flutes- so all our bridal party could celebrate in style as we prepared, had our hair and make-up done with this sensational backdrop of the water right in front of us. We had photos on the balcony. Rooms were fabulous, each with their own sea view and bathrooms and kitchen clean modern and perfect for our needs. I highly recommend this property. We had a wonderful time!

Ok location but disappointing experience
Ok location but disappointing experience
It was an ok location, yes easy access to the beach, but the beach was smelly and not really somewhere I would swim. Having said that, that isn't the owners fault. What I found disappointing however was the price and what we got. The view was lovely, but the place overall was dusty and dirty with sand all over the floors, even though the cleaner was supposedly there before us. Not even anything to clean dishes with or any basic milk or coffee that you get in our places and you pay 1/2 the price with just as lovely views. The owners told me 1 day before check in that they would be staying below. The whole time they were outside with constant visitors, so no real freedom for us to use the grassland, we felt more comfortable across the road and the reserve to kick the footy. Also they had the dog, which overall was quiet but barked when people would pass. Disappointing that it didn't feel like a place where we couldnt really be alone.l and relax without feeling watched. There was only one key for all of us to share, I had to ask for a second key, but was told that it usually isn't provided, but was happy to give it to us, so accommodating but I would suggest they get another key at least! There was one fan that we all had to share, for the four bedrooms that was extremely disappointing, considering that we paid a fortune for the property. No Linnen or towels, which was mentioned in the listing, and really can't fault that, but the dooner covers were so dusty. So much for hygiene during covid! . Very disappointing and wouldn't stay there again. The owners were nice, but not honest with their listing.
