Location perfect. Across the street from a park. Within easy walking distance of Pierre Marquette Beach and even closer to another nice smaller beach- the Cove-where the water is a little warmer. Beach restaurant also very close. Spent a lot of time on the deck of the property. On the channel between Lakes Michigan and Muskeegon, so great place for walks. Owner met us there and was easy to communicate with.

This was our 2nd time staying at this home. Another great trip to Muskegon. The location of this house is what brought us back. So close to the beaches, the Deck bar, and to the piers. It is so very nice to have a vacation spot where you don’t have to drive to the beach. The front deck is perfect for the lakeside breeze and catching some sun.
The host Jeff is great.

My friends and I have been going to Muskegon on an annual trip for nine years. We LOVE The Deck restaurant, always take a day to go to Michigan's Adventure, a day to drive to Grand Haven (for shops and food), and a day to spend at the beach. This property is within walking distance of The Deck and the nice beach just south of the restaurant and it's easy to hop onto the walking/running trail and it's an easy drive to just about anywhere else you want to go.
The owner met greeted us and showed us around -- very welcoming!
Parking was great and easy. The deck to the house was awesome to sit on for our morning coffee and evening drinks.
The property itself could use some modern upgrades, but we would definitely stay there again.

Very pleased with our stay for many reasons:
1 - Cannot beat the location. Walking distance to beautiful beach, The Deck bar/restaurant, the piers, and the Channel
2 - The front deck on this house is great! Great place to sit and watch the world. We even saw multiple deer one of our evenings.
3 - Plenty of room and nice to have the basement apartment for our teenagers (15-20 yr olds) to have their own space when they wanted to stay up later than the adults and smaller kids.
4 - Well stocked. Kitchen had basic spices, trash bags, paper towels. Tons of towels on both floors. Box fan in bedroom closet. Box of DVDs that came in handy for the kids in our group. Noticed a high chair and baby/young child toys as well (didn’t need for our group but would be great for other families).
5 - Jeff was very friendly and attentive. Was waiting for us on arrival. When we noticed propane tank on the gas grill was low he quickly came over and filled it for us.

So enjoyed this home....awesome location and having the separate apartment was a plus for our family with a 3 yr old! - The front porch on this home provides priceless views and the backyard offers a firepit that is a great way to top off the day.....only "hiccup" is that we are a family that loves to prepare meals...this is not a gourmet kitchen, but we improvised....WE will be back!! Thanks Jeff for the history provided on the home and neighborhood. The Roseliep's

This location was perfect! Walkable to Lake Michigan Beach and two REALLY nice restaurants. Nearby play structure for kids as well. Ten of us shared the house and we had plenty of room, including a deck overlooking a park and the water in the background. It’s not a brand new house but we all felt at home there. Host Jeff was readily available and met us on our arrival and was very gracious.

Great location for the whole family to enjoy.
Easy check in and a friendly owner. Spacious, safe, and secure location. Very close to the beach without having to mess with the traffic. Alot to experience and enjoy from Muskegon Lake Canal, it's beach to the beach on Lake Michigan, USS Silversides Submarine Museum, Code Blue fishing charters, and The Deck Restaurant all within walking distance. American Dunes folds of honor golf course, USS LST-393 museum, AquaStar sunset cruise, Michigan Adventures Water Park, and Lewis Farms Adventure Park all within a 30 min drive. Somthing for each and everyone. We give it an A+ and look forward to coming back.

Great location
This is a very nice cottage. We only used the upper floor but if more room is needed, there is an apartment below!! Location is the best, easy to walk to the beach, The Deck or a wonderful park across the street.
Our host Jeff was very easy to work with, and gave all the info we needed to enjoy our trip. A great stay at the beach!

Muskegon beach house
The location across from Pere Marquette beachfront park with its picnic tables, kids’ play area, sandy beach and nearby cement walk to lighthouse, channel and restaurants that had great food and music entertainment was great! The upper deck with its table, chairs and umbrella overlooking the park was great to enjoy meals and beverages any time of day. Our host property owner was very informative, communicative and accommodating.

Great Location
We had a great time and the location was perfect for the kids with the playground across the street and the public beach just a short jaunt down the street. We were able to take sidewalks to the beach with our loaded up wagon. The cottage is well-supplied with kitchen accoutrements and fresh linens. We enjoyed sipping our coffee on the deck overlooking the park. This place is nicely situated with plenty of windows to catch the fresh lake breeze, We would stay again.

Beach fun
We rented this house for my daughter's wedding. Even though it literally rained the entire 2 day stay it was still nice to have the fresh air and listen to the beach sounds.

Great long weekend at the beach!
We stayed here for Labor Day Weekend with our two small children and another family with two small children. This house was the perfect size for us. We loved the deck out front and camp fires in the back yard at night. With the playground across the street and the beach just a few minutes’ walk away, this location can’t be beat! We loved Muskegon and Jeff was a great host. Would definitely return!

Lakeside Retreat
A quick week visit to my hometown with my family and two friends was delightfully convenient with this beachside home. There was privacy for our friends in the attached apartment that was just enough seclusion from our 2&4 year olds when needed. The “kids” room was amazing, bunk beers and an extra train that was used frequently by a parent. Some toys available for use as it stinks to travel with a ton of those. Everything was working perfectly the access to the beach and playgrounds was amazing. Jeff was easily available if needed and check in and out was a breeze.

Nothing short of excellent
Great communication from the property owner, fantastic location, and just an overall comfortable and fun alternative to a hotel for our bridal party for our destination wedding. Highly recommended.

Good spot for a quiet stay near the beach.
The property is located in a good location, walking distance to a couple of good restaurants with live music, the beach and the lighthouses. Everything was in clean and in good working condition. We loved being able to take our dog with us which is why we chose this house. The kitchen amenities could use a refresh especially if you are looking to cook for the majority of the time. Would of liked to have had board games, beach chairs, beach umbrella etc. so we wouldn't have to pack as much. Jeff was super friendly and was very accommodating.

Fantastic beach house with excellent location.
This nice-size beach house not only has 4 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms, but also an entire “apartment” on the lower level. The house is very clean, has a 2-stall garage, and a perfect deck/balcony overlooking Pere Marquette Park. Our family was so comfortable staying there for a week. The property owner was easily accessible for all questions & needs. Nice back yard for shaded dining & games in the afternoon & evening. Pere Marquette Beach is a premier Lake Michigan beach with wide sand, playgrounds, picnic tables, piers, a walking loop, nice bike trail, channel into Muskegon Lake, unique restaurant, and a shaded grassy park. Our host could not have been more accommodating.
