Minty cottage is so beautiful and such a fabulous place to stay. It has everything you need and feels so cosy and comfortable.
Lovely to sit outside and have a coffee in the mornings and the beach is so close. Lots to do and very easy to get around using the little railway.
Dog friendly too which is great as my boy loved his stay there.
Nothing

Comfort, coziness, cleanliness, not cluttered.
Would have preferred an electric kettle.
4.3
Beautiful character cottage.. very near the sea. And very quiet. Great communications with Jane the owner.
Alley from road to cottage full of bins.. and no view at all from cottage as it is blocked in by other properties.. no rear garden or courtyard... front courtyard closed in and not that private.

Clean comfortable and very cosy

the Arga was a bonus, coming in from a wet & windy day to a lovely war home, was beautiful. All the info left for us was spot on, great eating places. Cooking on the Arga, was great.

Quaint, quiet, quirky, warm and snug. Plenty of parking on the road ( February ).
Extractor fan in bathroom noisier than a helicopter. So no peaceful bath.
Front door, and lock awkward, stiff, and binding.
A cylinder lock on the only exterior door is always a bad idea, so easy to lock yourself out.
Shower head loose fitting, it won't lift up, so you cannot stand under the spray due to the slope at the end of the bath.
Toilet lever points down ( Never seen this before }, so is awkward to flush.
More light switches than an office block.
Sorry, but after forty years in the building trade, things like this really irritate me, especially when most are so easy to fix.

Easy access to the Coastal path and well served with buses for doing one way walks.
Missed our breakfast coffees as no cafetiere and we didn't have the coffee pods needed for the machine!

Great location for beach and countryside, lovely for walks along beach and up to Lympne and Saltwood.
Although lovely cottage it did get chilly at night and I was not able to work out how to adjust heating, hadn't expected it to be such cold weather...

Location was brilliant, ideal for the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway and such a lovely place to stay with so many parks and recreation grounds nearby.

Good location
Refugee Hotel next door. Cottage was dirty, had to clean things before we used them, given the wrong key code. The whole place needs a refurbishment. This was our second stay and will be our last

I absolutely loved the location. Close to the beach and the Grand Union Canal (picture 1) with nice almost enclosed meadows where I could let my dogs run free. Very friendly neighbours. The cottage was very nice and comfortable. I only used the microwave/fridge which functioned well. Excellent mattress.
Well, the problem was that the patio wasn't enclosed. Only a short footpath towards the relatively busy Stade Street. My dogs love to be outside during the day. Therefore, I built a 'wall' using the patio table and a flower pot. However, after 3 days my dogs had learned how to get out - and coming back from 2 minutes bathroom use, I found them almost on the street. Please, see picture 3: my 'fence' with my boy on a long lead to avoid him getting out again ... A 1m high fence with gate would have helped a lot. This being the only reason for my overall relatively low rating.

Historic character, and well designed makeover. Cosy comfortable, and romantic atmosphere. Totally private.Lovely skylight, above the bath, with unlimited hot water. Superb location, yards from the beach, and easy walking distance to the canal and town center.
In general , Minty cottage is not cleaned to a high enough standard. The bathroom, and kitchen sink are well cleaned with nice fluffy towels, But all the carpets, wooden surfaces, mirrors, windows, floors and soft furnishings are grubby. This doesn’t show in photos, but on arrival the first impression is sad. It looks unloved, and the cushions were so filthy that I washed them myself, by hand. The cottage is adorable ,so please give it a deep clean. It deserves to be loved1

Superb location, aga was a treat, within easy reach of town
Just a little updating decor wise and maybe a window clean

Location fantastic, very close to the seafront. Bed comfortable and sofa was good to curl up on in the evenings.
Couldn’t work out how to open the Windows so it was quite hot in the bedroom

Excellent location, good walks, comfortable stay, beatyful part of Kent.
4.3
I liked using the aga. The bed was very comfortable and there was a fan in the bedroom and a throw. It was very quiet and close to the sea.
I couldn't reach most of the plates etc as I am short and the cupboards were a bit high. I could reach the mugs and I had bought a bowl for the microwave, so it wasn't a problem.
4.3
Good communication/info from owner, lovely homey feel, comfortable bed and furniture, location good, great shower, very well equipped, spotlessly clean
Loved the Aga!
Pleased to have found a property we would be happy to book again.
Broken slats living room/bedroom blinds, broken loo brush, leaky wine glass - nice to have towels provided but larger towels a little small

70m to the shingle beach, Aga delightful made some Bread and Marmalade, washing machine meant no washing to do as dried beautifully over Aga.
Cosy cottage perfect for couples to escape and turn back the clock to simpler times.
No fenced area for last thing at night dog
wee. But all else great.
