Architektur mit altem Charme
Fensterblick auf großes Vordach mit Lüftungsanlagen, hätte ich architektonisch anders gestaltet.

The family room was amazing and huge. Great old-fashioned style, like we were is some state hotel from Yugoslavia or Soviet Union... Just a joy!

Good location, just off the motorway. convenient stop off to Santander port.
Public areas of the hotel were cold.
very hard bed.
Dated bathroom. Bath needed replacing. Grout mouldy and chrome trim around the taps had not been cleaned properly.
Food was average but not expensive.

Bedroom had a lovely view across the town towards the mountains. Beds were comfy though we weren't given a double bed as requested. Evening meal in the restaurant was delicious!
Some of the fittings in the bathroom were broken; the shower head didn't fit properly on to the wall and there was the same problem with the hair dryer.

Handy for Ferry the next day

The location is A+, very accessible at the entrance Reinosa with plenty of parking space and nature views that take your breath away! I also very much appreciated the local pastries which they make and are present at the breakfast buffet.
The hotel needs serious renovation; I almost got locked into the bathroom because the door locks are too old and sometimes refuse to open. So best to bring your phone in with you in the bathroom if you are alone in the room.

Fantastic panoramic views from the top floor where my room was.

A few months ago I booked via the hotel website. This was confirmed but apparently not per email. On the day of travel, I could not find any communication. As the hotel website stated that there were no rooms left I decided to check booking.com and yes, one room was still available. The excellent receptionist confirmed that all standard rooms were taken but would give us an upgrade. This, of course, is appreciated.
The upgraded room was huge and looked as if it had an overhaul. Though the bed was very comfortable, the other furnishings were dated and the spa bath did not work. The view from the large balcony was not attractive and with a lingering kitchen odour that did not invite to sit out. Yet, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, so we took that in our stride.
4.5
Superb location close to the Santander road, quirky 1970s building that although dated is clean and spacious. , Brilliant and helpful staff who really go the extra distance to help.
Superb breakfast buffet with some local produce included.
Decor somewhat dated but any update should be true to the quirky and original architecture.
4.5
All was good stayed there a few times before
Eat earlier in the evening or put on nice snacks we can’t eat that late
3.5
It's an older hotel that was once meant to be nice that, well, it's ok now but not at all exciting. Staff sure tries hard.
Got a room someone had smoked in. Bed sheets were a little weird. Dinner was disappointing, however the staff at the time was clearly overworked.
4.0
A basic breakfast, we weren’t expecting anything exceptional
The bathroom boxing in of the pipes, a bit scrappy
