מקום נחמד לא הסטרי, קרוב למי שאוהב ללכת ברגל
האיזור לא נעים בכלל בלילית נרקומנים ביום ריח מסריח, פחות אהבתי את המיקום אבל החדרים סבבה לגבמרי

The reception staff were friendly.
The location is absolutely terrible even though it looks close to the center on map its filled with junkies and homeless people and unsafe for walking at night which is why we left the hotel earlier then scheduled and moved to safer area. The hotel is very old and the rooms look better on pictures then they really are, but the worst of all was the bathroom, terrible curtain, water gets everywhere when you shower and the water doesnt drain properly in the shower and it overflows, the hair dryer cable seeme unsafe to be used in steamy room and the bathroom window revealed a shocking view I will provide picture, loose electrical outlets, broken lights. There were stains on mattres and pillows but the sheets appeared to be clean. The balcony had wobbly fence. We didnt ask for a different room becouse we saw the other reviews and it seems we got one of the better rooms compared to others and there was no point in arguing since they cant offer better and from their replys to other reviews the owner seems argumentative, threatening and not keen on taking negative backfeed so we just left. For similar price you can get much better accomodation at much better location. I had booked 2 days on 2 separate bookings becouse the hotel couldnt extend the stay on our first booking but those are technical irrelevant problems we left after the first night and didnt stay the second day due to how unsafe the area was. Only positive thing about the hotel was the reception lady. Parking is right across the hotel just like advertised the hotel told us its separate business while at the parking lot we were told the owner is same maybe misunderstanding becouse of language barrier but they charge tourists 10euro per day while its 8 euro per day for greeks but if you stay in that area its best to keep your car there its pretty safe garage.

I usually stay at this hotel in Metaxourgio as it's a great location and near the metro system. The staff have always been helpful too.

There was nothing that I would I like
Everything from bed to bed sheets

the receptionists were very good, and the room was okay for 3 night. You need to take a bus or metro to reach city center but great stay.
No issues

Nothing, it was a horrible room. The airconditioning was leaking. I would have loved to write something nice but given the price i should not be shocked. The staff was also not always very friendly.
The location is not good, the room was terrible. If you wanted to shower everything would get wet. I woke up in the mornings because the staff was smoking under my room. The floors were disgusting.

The BEST thing about this hotel is the LOCATION. It is extremely central - just one-two metro stops away from all the central touristy spots. And it is CHEAP. OMG, it is sooo cheap given the location you stay in. I was surrounded by 4-Star and 3-Star hotels and given how much they cost (and I know because I tried to book in at least three four-star hotels but since I needed to stay for two weeks, I couldn't get any rooms there and that's why I HAD to book at Nafsika) - staying here was extremely affordable and cheap. If you're OK with a very basic room with sketchy decor and facilities then this one's for you. Also, they have cleaning staff come by every single day and clean sheets, change towels etc. That was a pleasant surprise.
Extremely basic in every which way. Before I say anything else - the WIFI in this hotel SUCKS. I stayed for two full weeks and it constantly breaks. The second week I used my phone data with a hotspot for my work. It. Was. Horrible. What else? A dirty fridge that they forgot to clean before I moved in, knobs that will come off if you tug a little stronger and so much more. I could never ever sit in the tiny balcony because the individual room air conditioner always leaked water and the floor was always wet. I stayed on the fifth floor and two dogs barked from the neighboring balcony 24/7. People...I stayed for TWO WEEKS and the barking was non-stop. There is only one lift that can carry a maximum of three people. I could go on.
The other key issue I want to point out is safety. For the first three days - I honestly felt very unsafe because the location felt so sketchy. And then I realized that almost all of Athens is like that. Apart from the Acropolis and the area around Monastiraki and Syntagma Square - Athens is a very sketchy, rugged, and industrial place. The fact that their economy suffered over the past decade SHOWS in Athens. The entire city is filled with graffiti. So, long story short - while the location around Nafsika seemed sketchy at first - I realized that it was absolutely OK. As I said, all of Athens is like that!

For me, the most important thing is for the place I stay to be clean. My room at Nafsika was very clean, I have nothing to say about that. Also, the hotel is very near to the metro station Metaxourgeio, which means is near the center.
I didn’t like the area the hotel was situated in but I knew about it when I chose it. The area is famous for not being that safe, but in spite of that everything was fine, I had no problems whatsoever with getting there from the metro station, sometimes even kind of late in the evening. Although, I preferred getting an uber most of the time because of that.

room was clean, staff was nice, location too many junkies, but apart from them all ok
junkies, dirty surroundings

Was a nice hotel very close to public transportation.
The neighborhood seems unsafe, a lot of homeless people and junkies around.

At least one of the staff was friendly.
Not clean :(
Ok, usually l'm not used to leaving less than 8 out of 10 stars for a hotel review even if they didn't fulfill some basic exigency.
But this one was exceptional.
Towels smelled very strange.
During my 3 nights stay, they cleaned my room only once. This is very sad
The hair dryer was not functional, despite reporting the issue to the front desk, it was not been fixed/replaced during my stay.
Shower smells bad.
There is no ventilation in the shower, instead there is a small window, so make sure to leave that window open once you take a shower.

They have cameras, so we felt safe leaving out motorcycles in front of the Hotel.
Neighborhood seems suspicious at night. :/

The building is old, but the rooms were equipped with pleasant furniture. What is most important is the high level of hygiene, the rooms were very clean - bathroom, sheets... all was very pleasant and clean. The free wi-fi Internet was very good too.
It will be a great add-on if the interior of the common spaces is improved.

Staff were very lovely, welcoming and extremely helpful, which made us feel at ease. The room had everything that we needed, aircon, fridge etc, and the bed was very comfy. Overall, an enjoyable stay and exceptional value for money.
Location wasn’t exactly ideal due to some dodgy areas near to the hotel (although if you stick to the main roads, you should be fine). Also, no breakfast was served, contrary to the advertisement on Booking.com.
