It was easy for us to get to the airport the day after as it's well connected to Gatwick.
The room had the building emergency exit in there and it was bothering us with a very bright green light on all the night.
The room wasn't really clean but we only just used it for one night to facilitate our early flight with a toddler.
4.5
Clean and comfortable. No fuss check in. Very accommodating re late arrival. Great location for the terminals.

The room was great. The staff was extremely helpful and we really appreciated the extra help that we received from Krunal. He arranged our taxi to Heathrow and we arrived in plenty of time for our flight.
We could not really find fault with the Gainsborough at all.
2.0
Very clean but room needed airing, smelt stale/musty.
Security light continually flashing on and off outside room throughout night, reflecting round the edge of the curtains onto the mirror, lighting the room up each time it came on, completely preventing sleep.
Was pointless paying for an overnight stay if we couldn’t sleep ( room 21, ground floor)
Security light issue and stale smell in room.

Clean and close to station and airport.

It was a quick walk to restaurants.

The staff were excellent. We had an overnighter before catching a flight. We actually never met any of the staff but everything was clean and easy. We got a bigger room than expected which was a great bonus.
The water pressure in the shower was not great, but that is no surprise in the UK.

Location and car parking available
Comfortable bed
Smell in hallway
Shower cubicle very dated and shower very low in pressure

Location close to Gatwick. Ease of check in- left keys at reception as after reception closed. Car parking for airport. Comfy beds
A bit smelly in the corridor and shower not good pressure.
3.0
Good location close to trains, shops and eating places. The man at reception carried my bag up to our room.
Very creaky floorboards - awoken early with other people walking about. Rubbish in the front yard. No kitchen area.

Bathroom was small but clean and worked well. Bed was clean and comfy. Fan was provided for warm nights. Location perfect for Gatwick. I had a bike with me and it took 2mins to the airport. 10mins on foot through a park and underpass.
5.0
The location was perfect as it was close enough for a reasonable taxi fare to Gatwick South Terminal. The property was also located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood.
Nothing.
3.5
The main benefit of this place is its proximity to the airport bus stop. The room was at the back of the building so it was quiet.
Tiny bathroom with sharp corners on the shower. Room in need of an upgrade.
3.0
Its location close to Gatwick. The possibility of checking in automatically late at night just with a code for the entrance. The kettle and coffee in the room.
The whole place is undergoing renovations and there are paint marks everywhere including on the carpeting in my room. I felt the price was high considering the renovations going on all around the hotel. The twin room itself was fine for one night. I never saw a member of staff.

generally clean and adequate for a one night stay.
quite a distance from Gatwick. would be good if management provided options on getting to the accomodation.

room was clean
beds were very comfortable
tea and coffee making facilities in room
close to gatwick airport
freindly staff
needs a few little touch ups like carpets and paint work
2.5
There were amenities close by. The room was clean.
The whole building is in need of renovation. I stayed to reach the airport but there was no transport or shuttle as it was Christmas eve (understandable) so I walked to Gatwick airport from the hotel. The staff made no effort to be friendly or welcoming and check-in was a little awkward. For the price of my stay, I would have been much better off staying at a Travelodge or comparable next to Gatwick.
4.0
Close to Horley Station 5 minutes around the corner and it's only 2 minutes from Gatwick Airport, the room is basic but clean, not gonna win any awards but for the price you pay its absolutely fine for a short stay, I'd imagine most staying here are for the convenience to Gatwick Airport.
The shower worked fine but is a bit dated and slow.

this property is close to public transport and host was very helpful prior to checking in
the mattress was soft but some people would like that
everything else was fine

So close to the airport; I walked - but heard relatively little plane noise. Reception friendly, casual but efficient.
Close to 'Ye Olde Six Bells' - great pub!
Sensor light in backyard flicked on and off during the night which was a little problematic BUT shut the curtains - no issue!
4.0
The location - the bus stop for Gatwick airport was 100 yards away from the property on the same side of the road. Buses - No’s 20 or 100 from memory - only take about five or ten minutes to get to Gatwick and stops at both terminals.
Maybe it’s a little jaded but good value
