A little piece of luxury on a picturesque island.

Amabilitat de tot el personal. Habitació molt amplia i comfortable, fins i tot amb un sofà de massatges! Bona localització a prop dels principals atractius de Miyajima com el tori flotant. Onsen a l'hotel, una experiència genial. El sopar i l'esmorzar (pots triar entre oriental i occidental) també ens van agradar molt (et donen opcions vegetarianes amb un petit extra). Tenen un shuttle que si vols t'acosta a la terminal del ferry.

El preu no és econòmic però ho tornaríem a pagar.

Le ragazze dello staff sono davvero gentilissime e dolcissime.

La gentilezza del personale, la cena, l’onsen, la camera giapponese con tatami (il letto lo fanno loro quando sei a cena!), tutto davvero bellissimo.

Great location for exploring Miyajima

The hotel is in a great location which is convenient for most of the tourist spots on Miyajima. A short walk from the ferry terminal and views over the famous Tori gate. The room was comfortable, well appointed and clean with a decent bathroom. We had a large tatami area with a low table and chairs but didn't really use it but it did mean that the room was spacious. Clientele largely Japanese. 500 yen voucher for the gift shop was a nice touch. The outside hot spring bath was lovely but busy. Collection by the shuttle bus from the ferry terminal was helpful, since we arrived late, but it went through the back roads so I was a bit worried that the hotel was in the middle of nowhere - I was very relieved to find that, on foot, it was only a short walk down to the town.

Sadly we were unable to eat at any of the restaurants since they were fully booked and there was no arrangement for guests arriving late to be able to order any food. Most of the restaurants in Miyajima close early and therefore we had to rush down to the Lawson convenience store to get food. Not ideal for a four star hotel.

Location, beautiful landscaping, food, well prepared. Walking distance to main sites.

No heat. We were there last week in April. Unfortunately, it was rainy and in low 50's. Very uncomfortable.

The most beautiful hotel

Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto is the most beautiful hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The meal was outstanding. The location is ideal. We would highly recommend!

amazing big room with tatami living area, great shower and bath, onsen. snacks available in the souvenir shop. Great location for the shrine - 3 minute walk which is ideal to get the high tide picture late at night

Excellent, we would stay in this hotel again if we ever visit the city again

The hotel is beautiful and very well located! The onsen was impeccable! Helpful staff!

The only thing we didn't like is that we didn't have a chance to have breakfast at the hotel because they were already fully booked by the time we checked in. The hotel could advise guests to book in advance, especially since there are few options in town running early in the morning.

Traditional Japanese experience

We loved the traditional Japanese room with robes included so you can enjoy the onsen comfortably. The package included breakfast and dinner which were traditional Japanese foods, It was lovely to try everything!

Floor beds are a little uncomfortable but are fine for one night stay

Beyond awesome even epic. Seriously stay a night on this island.

In the Rooms you have a choice of either a western bed or a Japanese bed that you can make. I chose to take a nap in the western one and then I made the other on the tatami floor for the rest of the stay. The man’s onsen has 3 baths going up from the hottest on top to the mild that is inside at the bottom.

I forgot to make a reservation for dinner. The staff told me about other places to eat 2 mins away or right around the corner.

Luxurious stay at an affordable rate

Very luxurious room, complete with a tatami space for relaxing, watch TV, drink some tea (cups, saucers and tea bags provided). Great facilities, including both indoor and outdoor public onsen, free short guided tours in the evening or early morning, and even free bus trips to/from the harbour if you're carrying large luggage. There is a restaurant for dining (breakfast and dinner options) but I didn't use as I did not pre-book in advance.

Nice hotel to enjoy a relaxing stay in Miyajima. It also has public bath and free shuttle bus.

The hotel is very well located to have a relaxed stay in Miyajima. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was very helpful and attentive. I did not have any meal there so I have no opinion about their food options. The free shuttle bus to the ferry is very convenient.

I have nothing to complain about.

Great location, wonderful staff such as Sakura who was very helpful, especially as she spoke English; also appreciated the bus shuttle and the nice lobby with cold complimentary tea.

Space in our room was very tight and we looked out onto a parking lot. Compared to other lodging we'd taken on this trip, this was much less value for the money.
