personale gentile e disponibile; posizione centralissima, vista panoramica sul partenone

Hotelli on hiljaisen sivukadun varrella, keskeisellä paikalla. Ateenan tärkeimmät nähtävyydet ovat kävelymatkan päässä.
Palvelu oli ystävällistä ja aamiainen oli maukas ja monipuolinen. Huone oli pieni, mutta siellä oli kaikki tarpeellinen

Location, historic BB with character.
Owner said Turks are savages, not realizing we are Turkish:) but nice folks overall.

4.0
Close to everything all in walking distance, old school vibe to it.
Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Shower and toilet in one but manageable.
Could be loud with people coming and going.

The hotel is very well situated , walking distance from Acropolis and great neighborhood for shopping and food.
It has clean and comfortable rooms with a breakfast option in the hotel itself.
The best aspect of the hotel is the hospitality of the family that runs the hotel and the staff. Thank you Emmanuelle, Enea, Adonis and the other staff including the very cheerful cleaning staff.
The bathrooms could have been a little bigger

The house is old and need some rénovation but well placed. It has the vintage charm and atmosphere as in a mouvie. Thé staff was very helpfull and kind.
A little bit noisy when sleeping with open windows.

great location and great people
the room and the washroom - very very basic and poor maintained

Nice old-stilish bohemic place in the centre of Athens. Great breakfast.Friendly staff.
Sorry , but could't find any coffee in the cup of brown water at the breakfast. AC was not working.

Amazing location! Staff was very kind and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable.
The toilet in my room had a transparent glass door. Not much privacy.

Super location, friendly approach of the hosts, rich breakfast, closeness of everything we wished - sightseeings, metro and bus, restaurants, shop.
Very small room for 4 persons

It is at the center of the City. Walkable distance to all tourist attractions. The reception staff was really good, the lady in the morning shift was very welcoming and friendly, her special cake was so delicious
Rooms were quite cold but they provided with extra heater next day

It is what it is for a 2 star.
If you're not expecting 4/5 star, it's fine. Despite some criticism, would stay again.
Great location.
Good WiFi
Allowed to store luggage at no charge.
People nice, spoke good English.
Bathroom (wetroom) too small, shower had to be handheld, door wouldn't close.
Room smaller than expected, no working catch on window or shutters. Steet noise as result.
Breakfast not great, but adequate.
Power outage, my floor, last day, no attempt to remedy before I left (to be fair was early). Unable to use shower before I left, as no light in bathroom.

Beautiful 19th c. building! Clean and at a nice central area but without proper sound proofing.
The only real negative part was breakfast. Really poor quality.
The bathroom was outside the room. We stayed for just one night so that was not a problem but it could be for someone who wants to spend more time.

The location couldn’t be better. The continental style breakfast was simple but good and served quickly. The Acropolis House has an old-aged charm which had a Greek authenticity that you cannot get in a modern hotel. Family run, friendly helpful manager and staff.

amazing staff! great breakfast as well
a/c remote was a little confusing, but we probably should have asked the reception how to use it

Location is great to Plaka, central to shopping area, and close to bus stop. Bed and pillows are pretty comfortable and clean linen and room service everyday. "Hired staff" are very nice and try very hard to help and seem over worked at times.
Common area furniture and room bedspreads are drab and not updated. Stairs are narrow and can be treacherous and there is no help with luggage. Air condition doesn't work. No basic creature comforts. Bathrooms are narrow and shower water runs all over the floor and if you turn in the shower. the shower curtain sticks to you. Bathrooms have meldew smell. No one on night duty from11pm-7am & no smoke detectors, alarms or sprinklers. I did see a fire extinguisher. Signs on room doors in Greek small English statement said " call front desk if you smell smoke". Don't think a person will wake up and call someone that is not there during the night. TV Greek stations only functioning stations. Guests are asked to limit breakfast to 20". I was asked last night to take boxed breakfast next day and come early for coffee as 2 groups were coming in. I agreed but am insulted as I am also a paying guest and many time repeat guest even if I am a solo guest. Breakfast is fair. There is an adjacent room with a table where extra place settings can be set up. Comfort and safety have been significantly reduced to reduce costs. I will never stay there again.

The staff were wonderful and in a perfect location close to everything and gorgeous area. The bed was very comfortable which is important
Very small room with no where to put suitcases. Bathroom not really adequate with mould on the ceiling although everything was well cleaned

Good but very basic.cereal very average.
Fridge didn't work.

This family-run small hotel has a great location for returning Athens visitors in the Plaka, close to the X95 bus to/from the airport, right down-town and a somewhat short walk to the Acropolis. The Host is very nice and the hotel has an interesting history, located inside of a historic mansion. See the Rick Steve's write up for more info. Our room (301) a standard (no superiors were available). It did have three beds, but we would have preferred just two as it was extremely cramped. There is no elevator, so be prepared to lug your bags up. Breakfast is adequate. If you are a tourist first time in Athens, you won't get a view, have a roof-top terrace or have a balcony (at least in our room), so I'm rating it a 6 or 7 for first time Athens tourists, but a 7-8 for returning visitors who just need a great location and a nice host.
