This was a wonderful place to stay, full of character and charm. Pepe and his wife were kind and lovely people. They cooked and served us an incredibly good dinner which we enjoyed in their beautiful back garden. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Merida.
Everything was excellent. It is an amazing place to stay.

The Hosts were really nice. The rooms very comfortable and the building and courtyard beautiful. Lovely Pool. Quiet location
More choice for breakfast would be a nice addition. Yoghurts, muesli, maybe eggs

It is a fabulous owner run quaint period property, extremely well run. The room was like stepping back in time and the food was excellent. We will definitely return.

We were made really welcome by Pepe and his wife and enjoyed a nice evening meal and a good breakfast in a lovely garden location. The room was small but very comfortable.
No problems whatsoever with the property but the access from the motorway (driving south) involved a drive through Mérida which was quite busy.

Comfortable beds, mazing dinner and breakfast. Beautiful hosts offering lots of extras.
For some reason, based on the pictures, I thought this was a farmhouse with a ton of land.to explore ..we were all very suprised to see we were in a row house, albeit very private and beautifully decorated and cozy. Just was not the rural landscape we expected.

It is perfect for a really pleasant stay away from the noise of the city and enjoying oneself
I would have liked it to be a little closer to town and not having to lift our suitcases to the second floor

Loved the property, it's style and decor. Pepe and his wife were attentive and the dinner on our first night was both very good and great value for money. The property is in the village but in a quiet location. Room was large with a sofa and fridge. The outside area though small has such a collection of plants along with the plunge pool make it feel much larger. It was the ideal place to have breakfast.
We stayed five nights and felt that the breakfast though substantive, was a little repetitive and predictable. The river is quite distant in terms of walking and once found has no discernible paths to explore further. Probably best suited to an overnight or short stay we nevertheless enjoyed the property though Pepe may wish to reflect on the fact that there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke downstairs close to the kitchen and surrounding area.

Owners delightful and helpful, a very very peaceful location far from the madding crowd sums it up, if you are looking for a proper Spanish experience then let these people welcome you into their home, we loved it. Beds to die for.
The hotel sign could have been above vehicle height to make it easier to see, a small criticism but it's the only one I have.

Quiet and friendly - good communication and breakfast. We would comeback for sure.
The rooms were a bit cold when we arrived and we could hear people next door.

A fabulous welcome from Pepe as we parked outside of the hotel. We were served drinks in the sunlit courtyard. We asked for dinner and were very glad we did. It was terrific home cooking but with lots of attention and love put into the cooking.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
Breakfast was very well presented.
A real gem!
Thank you!

Home cooked meal, excellent value for the cost, the casa/ house was full of character typical Spanish home, ideal for one night stay, excellent hosts Pepe & Carmen.
Would have liked more lighting in the bedroom, but over all we were very happy

Beautiful house in a quiet village, about 10 minutes from Mérida. Garden with pool is amazing, as is the athmosphere of the house. Big, clean and very comfortable rustic room. Delicious dinner and good breakfast. Lovely owners. Parking front of the house.

Breakfast was ok (toast, croissant, pastry, ham, cheese, tomato spread, olive oil and butter, orange juice and coffee or tea), the air conditioning in the room was very effective, the staff was nice and helpful, free parking on the street close to the accommodation was available.
The room was an attic room, with a small window over the bed, with a blind that couldn't completely block the light.
To reach the room we had to climb several stairs with the luggage, which would have been difficult without the precious help of the staff member who received us.
There was no internet in the room (their network was not even detectable)

The garden area is amazing, and we had dinner in the patio twice which was absolutely amazing.

Our 2 day stay at Casa Rural was planned so we could explore Merida and the surrounding area, however our stay at Casa became the highlight. After arriving late and feeling thirsty we went downstairs and enjoyed some of the best wine I’ve had on our trip. Sitting in a walled garden with a wishing well and comfy loungers we contemplated what to choose for dinner. The menu was relatively extensive and varied. We thoroughly enjoyed our grilled prawns and salad just as much as the following evenings meal of green beans and ham with baked cod. All superb. The rooms upstairs are spacious with a kIng bed, tea and coffee making facilities and ensuite. The decor could be described as rustic but authentic is more accurate. We loved it. Thank you so much Jose and Carmen for welcoming us into your charming home and being so hospitable.
The shower needs some attention.

Beautiful garden area, very quiet. The owners are very friendly. Plenty of parking space and excellent WiFi throughout the house.
The owner smokes in the house and the place feels like an ashtray. You could smell cigarettes everywhere in the house including the room. For me as a non smoker it was a terrible experience. My mom who is allergic started coughing throughout the night.
Very remote village with nothing to do. The owners don't speak English.
The dinner was big but very simple and heavy. We had pork and it was very fatty so that we struggled to sleep afterwards.
