Step out of your front door, look to your side - and there it is.. The beach, just a few steps away!!

Situated on the Glenelg North Esplanade, this recently refurbished cottage is perfect for short or long term holidays.

Don’t be surprised if you spot a dolphin just a few metres away from your holiday accommodation. Your perfect view of the sunset will be simply stunning at any time of the year.

Your stay here can offer you the priceless enjoyment of the constant sound of the sea and fresh air, yet ensure that you are within easy reach of all that the City of Adelaide has to offer. The City, Festival Theatre, Casino and Convention Center are all a short 15 minute drive, or an easy 30 minute trip with the Glenelg Tram. Please be mindful that the airport is nearby - 7 km away - so you will see and hear planes coming in. Some people love this, others not so much.

The cottage is a quick beachfront walk to the sophisticated Holdfast Shores Marina and its award winning restaurants. Another few minutes and you are on historic Jetty Road, where the eating, shopping and entertainment facilities are endless. Just Google “Glenelg Beach” to see all that this destination has to offer, including a myriad of sport and beach activities. Your stay may not require a single car trip, as local attractions such as the “Temptation” swim with the dolphins, the BeachHouse amusement park & the brand new $1.3m foreshore playground are all within walking distance.

The place combines a clean, crisp, modern feel with the coziness of an old cottage. The place has been fitted so that you can have a comfortable short or long term stay. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, your own laundry facilities, TV and DVD entertainment, linen and towelling – just pack your toothbrush and bathers!!.

The kitchen will easily cater to those who want affordable home cooked meals; that is, if they can resist the temptation to just walk into one of the cafes or restaurants down the road.

When you first get there, enjoy a coffee on us - just pop a coffee capsule in the machine.

Beds

The property has a queen bed in the master bedroom.
A double and single bed in the second bedroom.
Both bedrooms fitted with chirorest mattresses to ensure a comfortable holiday stay.
The living area contains a couch, which can be converted into a double mattress for sleeping an extra 2 if required.

Please note that although this apartment can sleep up to 7, it is really most comfortable for 5 or less.

The property and location is exactly like what was described in the listing. Initially we were concern about the airport close by and planes flying above but it didn't bother us one bit. The beds were really comfortable. Sofie is a wonderful and caring host and you can tell not just from the communications but at the meticulous detailed personal touches to the place and is not just in providing towels and toiletries but she went above and beyond in providing a place that felt like a home. It was warm and inviting. Wonderfully suprised at the amenities provided. We were blown over. Everything was clearly labelled or written. Even manuals for the appliances was made available. We had no issues in settling in. It was absolutely wonderful. The place gave us a much needed rest just by the beach. No need to worry about parking. Great when traveling with a teenager (who is always hungry) so the amenities provided was jus perfect. It was our first trip to Adelaide. Adelaide is a beautiful place and staying at Sofie's place made it more inviting and exuberates the warmth of the people of Adelaide. We look forward to visiting Adelaide again and hope to be able to stay at Sofie's place again. Thank you.

Lovely property with excellent access to the beaches at Glenelg. Ideal for 2 retired adults and a retired friend who stayed for 1 week. Was also able to accommodate 2 infants on occasional sleep overs ( grandparent duties ). Will be coming back again in 2 or 3 years if Sofie will have us.

We are a family of 5, and the property was perfect for us. It also had fantastic extras like cereals, drinks, and snacks included, and plenty of towels and toiletries. Very convenient for the beach and walking into the town. Loved it.

This place was in easy walking distance to Jetty road eating places and tram stops. It is also easy to get to locations out of Adelaide. Street parking is always available. Supermarkets are close by. Can be loud at times with planes flying over. Great and comfy beds

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and came with many lovely extras provided by the host. We were just across the rd from the beach and a lovely 10-15 minute walk along the coast to all the cafes of Glenelg. Would highly recommend this property to stay at!

This property was beautifully presented & the goodies & welcome letter on arrival made us feel special. Sofie goes above and beyond to make you feel at home . The location was great & we thoroughly enjoyed being so close to such a nice quiet beach but within walking distance of Glenelg shops & restaurants. Thanks Sofie for a wonderful stay!

Great location for a stay close to the beach but if you think you are getting an ocean view as the photos show you will be disappointed. The place is well decorated and very clean but we booked thinking we would have an ocean view but that wasn't the case. Misleading advertising I'm afraid, we were looking for an ocean view and would not have booked this place if we new differently.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Would definitely book there again on a return trip to Glenelg. Loved it. The apartment was a home away from home, and very comfortable. The colourful prints, and decor looked great. It was in a perfect location, very close to the beach and quiet. About a 15-20 minute walk to the cafes, shops and beach. The host Sofie, was very attentive, and ensured all was well.I highly recommend this apartment.

Sea By Your Side is in a great location for beach lovers. A short walk and you are in the bustle of Glenelg or a walk down the Esplanade to more beaches. The unit has everything you need and a great Host. We will definitely be staying here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Glenelg. At first glance the exterior of this property appears to be showing its age. However the interior, amenities, supplies and hospitality of Sophie make up for any thoughts of judging a book by its cover. The location is amazing. The beach is across the street with a boardwalk/bike trail that follows the coast for miles in both directions. Any required supplies are available just a short walk away to town.

This villa is perfect for a couples getaway or a family,. On arrival was a lovely bottle of wine, snacks, fresh fruit and more. A lot of effort has gone into the presentation of the villa. The location is footsteps away from the beautiful beach, and a short drive to the shops and restaurants. I could easily live here.

Six night stay in this well located unit with lots of homely extras. Location did have planes taking off from 6am till 11pm but if that doesn’t worry you’ll be well accommodated and Sophie is very organized.
