Beautiful and peaceful apartment with excellent location to explore Vilnius Old Town

Absolutely most beautiful and spacious apartment, beautifully furnished and decorated! Excellent location to explore Old Town but apartment was still very peaceful and quiet. Well-equipped kitchen and good bed. Wifi worked smoothly the whole time. Big TV with Netflix. Everything was very clean and tidy. Grocery shop with excellent range of products was very near and there were many good restaurants all over the area. This place is definitely good value for the money!

We arrived by car and that was a bit tricky, although we expected that it might not be easy to drive in Old Town area. Owner had given us good instructions and navigator also helped, so we managed to get to the parking lot finally. We decided though that car will stay on the lot for our stay and we explored city by foot, it was easier.

Lovely accommodation perfectly placed - Shame about the Wifi

The host kindly waited up for me to let me in an give me the keys. The apartment is as lovely as the pictures and wonderfully located right in the middle of the Old Town. All of the facilities (but not Wifi) were on hand.

The advertised WiFi wasn't there. I could pick up signal from the University some distance away but nothing for the apartment. This was a huge problem as I lost an entire day at work because of this. I messaged the host via the Booking.com App on my first morning in both English and Russian but didn't get a reply in all of my 3 days there. The key supplied to the front gate didn't work, possibly a bad cut as it's a complicated looking key? I was waiting for the host to reply to my message about the WiFi to raise this but I didn't ever hear back.

We had a very pleasant stay at Pilies apartment. Nijolė is such a great host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Location is fantastic, place was very clean and equipped with anything you need for a short stay. Highly recommended. Thank you again Vegas, Eglė and Leona. Greenville SC USA

Cosy, central and has everything you need to stay in Vilnius!

The apartment was spacious, warm (very important in winter in Lithuania) and had all the facilities we needed for a 3 night stay but you could have easily stayed there for over a week with the amount of room, kitchen appliances, cooker and even a washing machine. The shower also had consistent hot water. The apartment is located centrally and all attractions, bars and restaurants are pretty much on your door step. Nothing was more than a 20 minute walk which in the snow was great fun. Would 100% recommend this place and 100% stay again. Thank you to the host for having us!!!

Entrance is between house number 9 and cafe Fiona, you don't need to make turn into narrow street.

First of all - even if you somehow dislike completely everything about this place, the location is THE BEST. It's a historical building on one of main tourist streets with main square around one corner and the presidential palace around the other! And wait for it - you get a free parking in the backyard (with big hotels charging extra 10-15 euros per day for the same). Bare in mind that the gate is fairly small so you'll need to be accurate while driving in. Everything was as described - the host lives on the third floor right above in case you need any help. The place is clean, roomy and has everything you would need - linens, towels, everything you need to cook and serve food, even a laundry machine. It's a really beautiful apartment with old charm. If you take Bolt (taxi) you'll have to walk around a corner as they can't drive right next to door. There's plenty of restaurants, cafe & bars right on Pilies street, souvenir shops as well. If you prefer to cook yourself, there's a small grocery shop ~200m away on the same street. We had dinner literally across the street at Katpedele restaurant the first evening, really recommend it as well. Prices are ok and dishes are based on Lithuanian history, so it's a good introduction))

The bed was way too soft for my liking, but I prefer hard mattresses, so this is a con for me at every hotel/apartment. WiFi signal was pretty weak. And I haven't figured out how to turn kitchen hood on when we cooked.

Perfect.

Location was fantastic, within easy walking distance to restaurants, ATM, city sights....and a great cat cafe! Beautifully decorated in a historic building -the clothes washer, dishwasher, size of the apartment, all the little stocked extras made this THE BEST APARTMENT WE'VE EVER STAYED IN. The walled courtyard was so peaceful and welcoming after a day out sightseeing. Since Pilies isn't really open to regular traffic, it's best to have the Uber/Taxi go to 2 Pilies. Much easier all around.

Nothing! We were welcomed and cared for wonderfully- the apartment caretaker lives just one floor down. Any communication was 100%.

I felt great in this spacious and beautiful apartment. An excellent and comfortable bed.

The meeting was very warm and friendly. The hosts are cultured and caring, they speak several languages. It was very pleasant after a stressful day.

There cannot be a better place to stay in Vilnius.

There cannot be a better place to stay in Vilnius - right in the middle of town, just off Pilius Street, but in a quiet side street behind a wall inside a historic courtyard, minutes away from major sights such as the Cathedral, University, St. Anne's Church. The apartment was really, really spacious and most comfortable - and most importantly for me peaceful and quiet. Gitana was fast in getting back by whatsapp to my questions and problems that came up with the shower (see below) - while her lovely mother, who lives upstairs, is a real star (saving my buying detergent for one machine load of washing I needed to do - and helping me with my bags from and to my taxi on arrival and departure - together with her grand daughter). Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

Two problem areas for which I have deducted a point: 1. The boiler in the kitschen that heats up the water for the shower can be very, very erratic. I was unlucky in that it did not kick in to heat the water in the shower every second day. Generally, the advice given by Gitana to activate it worked (except on one occasion when I was running around between the bathroom and the boiler in the kitchen for a good 15 minutes, which was most annoying) 2. I guess that due to its proximity to Pilies Street (mostly for pedestrians) , but also being in the very narrow side street, I noticed that it was impossible to order an Uber or Bolt ride. It is easier to order one where Pilies street intersects with Sv Jono street. But this is not the fault of the owners (and when help was needed on arrival and departure Gitana's mother and grand daughter were onhand).

Very good location

As someone who was born, raised and lived in Vilnius, the place is very good and quiet because of an internal yard. Also private parking in the old town of Vilnius is a luxury.

No place where to put clothes. If someone comes for one day, this is fine, but if you come for one week, you need to have a possibility to put your clothes in a appropriate cupboard. Considering that there is enough space in the apartment, it should not be a problem for the owners to make some arrangements.
