The service was truly excellent. There were multiple restaurants and all were excellent. The pool was the most gorgeous I had ever seen.
There were a few little things I can mention. The rooms were kept very clean but could have been decorated a little nicer considering the price of a stay here. The bikes they had for guests to use were in dire need of maintenance. And the little store could have stocked some common toiletries like toothpaste, mouthwash, hairspray, etc.

The Pool and Bar Staff were awesome. The Japanese themed restaurante had perfect wait staff.
We were robbed in our room, had: $1,000. USD stolen in $100. USD bills from my backpack. Reception refused to help us excepto by telling us we had to drive: 1hr to the closest police station. The staff could not even say sorry or even remotely try to be of assistance. Manager neglected to see us. Not a single type of refund, stay or point were offered. The cleaning lady was the only person in our room. Absolutely horrible experience.

Rekommenderar detta boende stark. Det är rent, fint, bekvämt och stort. Personalen är fantastiska och behjälpliga. Stranden är helt underbar. Deras frukost är perfekt. Vi gillade allt med detta hotellet.
Gillar allt.

very old furniture, the pictures is not correspond the advertisement , the bed is super not comfortable, bath and also in very not fresh condition . Service is not professional, during the sunbathing they oblige us to close the umbrellas, due the wind . But , it’s impossible to stay on the sun without protection.

the property was absolutely amazing so picturesque. so clean and just absolutely surrounded by nature. the restaurants were perfect I loved there menus and the breakfast was menu and buffet could have been a better way for me to start my day I would definitely go back.

Nice pool, rooms. Staff was nice.
Mostly it wasn't what I expected it's a very remote location and you are
confined to the property for your stay. There is a very rough dusty road you have to go on to get there. I definitely would not recommend renting a car due to poor roads. We are vegan and got to hotel at 9:30pm everything was closed and we had not eaten all day. Breakfast the next day wasn't available either because you had to have a reservation for all restaurants on the property except the pool restaurant. So finding food there is very difficult especially if you are vegan or vegetarian. We booked 6 nights but only stayed 2. This resort is great for people who just want to relax and be away from everything if you want to eat call the hotel ahead and make restaurant reservations. The food is ok there but expected more for the price. Example I ordered fruit and yogurt the closest I could get to vegan. They sent 2 containers of a packaged yogurt that isn't 5 star worthy to me.

This location is very nice and clean. The view is spectacular. But the beach has lots of rocks.
The food at the Azur pool and sand bar are better than the high end restaurants at this location. Tamarine was very disappointing and since we went this week when is not that busy, you do not have a lot of options to choose from. Too far to get out to get elsewhere.

Clean room, good service, great pool, access to nearby beach club with complimentary shuttle. Very nice hotel overall
Only 3 restaurants were open at a time in the evening (I guess because of the low occupancy rate) and after a while, it becomes boring to eat the same thing. Lack of interesting, exotic or local dishes on the menu. Tamarindo is 30mn away so it will become expensive to go there for dinner ($20 round trip adult and $10 children with the hotel shuttle)

Nice hacienda style hotel, with an excellent staff that is always willing to help and meet your needs. Good variety of restaurant options inside the hotel. Once you are in the hotel you have access to Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club (5 minutes away by car) which is a very good option for families to spend the day, with a nice pool, a beautiful beach in front and a nice restaurant. There are also good restaurants in the area, outside of Hacienda Pinilla (Villa Deevena, Lola's).
Hard to spend the day by the pool or the beach with babies/kids in the hotel. Due to the wind, umbrellas cannot be open around the area, therefore there is no space with shade to seat. Our alternative was to go to the beach club. Also the beach in front of the hotel is ok but not the nicest in the area.

Didn't live up to the JW Marriott standard. It took 30 minutes to get hot water delivered to my room each morning to make tea. What kind of hotel doesn't offer a kettle? Front desk were a bit unfriendly as well. The restaurant staff were all very friendly though. I enjoyed my meals in the restaurant.
Please put a kettle in the room for those who drink tea and don't want to wait 30 minutes each morning for hot water.
