It's a great little cabin with a big yard. It's on the rustic side and more of an experience, but it does suit your basic needs. Its location on the lake is excellent and the neighbors are nice if you're nice. The house keeper does a great job keeping things in order and we were met with a bag a veggies from his garden. It's a simple old cabin with a lot of history.

Peaceful with a beautiful view

We love coming to the little cabin on the lake for a weekend getaway. Very peaceful! Great place to relax with family and friends

Comfortable and well furnished cabin with all the amenities I needed. The cabin is situated on a small cove along the lake. From the dock I was able to catch large mouth bass, crappies, bluegill and catfish.

We spent a few days over spring break with our teen sons with the goal of fishing and enjoying the outdoors. The home is perfect for that! It has a nice sloping yard to the water and it was on a quiet cove so we could enjoy fishing and bass boating. In addition, the boys loved taking the kayaks out for more fishing. Dog friendly, too! A great time and Bucky was so helpful!

We had a wonderful time.

It was very rustic, but also so peaceful. We really enjoyed our visit

We really enjoyed the cozy comfortable feeling of this family lake cabin. Such a peaceful place to unwind on a fall weekend. The place has a fully equipped kitchen, the beds were comfortable, and the screened in porch was the perfect place to curl up with a book. One morning a saw a pair of Eagles…

When we arrived we found the property to to be nothing we viewed on the listing. When we contacted the host, she acted on small things she could correct. The main thing we found, was the comfortable furniture shown on the porch0 in the description, had been replaced with old metal chairs. The inside chairs had been also been replaced with others. Nothing we found was like the description we paid for.
The worst thing we encountered was the owner of the property.
He called us before we left our home and was rude to us because we had called host and asked a couple of questions of things we should bring or not.
After we had arrived and foufnd the property entirely different than the description, and contacted the host. The owner came to the property and spoke to my wife in a very rude and frightful way telling her we should have stayed home and I knew you were going to give me a bad review.
The Sad conclusion from it all,
We had our vacation ruined, cut short after the owner came by and face to face with my wife, yelling at her. And after all said and done the company handling the rental gave us a 2 day refund and basically letthe owner win.
Very Sad

We hoped for a short fishing trip, but the blistering hot weather made that impossible, so we enjoyed the cabin and the property even more! We will definitely consider returning for a future trip.

Awesome stay. 2 bedrooms and a bunk bed. Beds were very comfortable and the air works great and ceiling fans in each room. Huge library of books and board games, cards. Screened in porch was great with plenty of sitting and table. Very short walk down to dock. Had 2 kayaks to use at the house. We swam right iff the dock and can walk right in at a clear spot. Not weedy. Really enjoyed our stay. Tjere are people tonthe right and left but it was still peaceful. We will return and hipefully rent the pintoon boat there! Thank you for a great stay!

Awesome cabin on the lake. Felt so much peace and so at home ☺️ Would recommend it to anyone wanting peace and quiet

We had a great, quick getaway to this cabin! The cabin is rustic, but perfect and is so well stocked with basic supplies and kitchen equipment, etc. We especially enjoyed perusing the very full bookshelves, and the screened porch was awesome! Highly recommend this place!

My husband and I had an excellent time at this rental. The owners were very hospitable and easy to communicate with. This cabin had beautiful views of the water and was just as pictured. It was very relaxing and had everything we needed.

This rustic, homey cabin was absolutely perfect for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and cookware. The library was stocked with every genre of book, which I loved. They even had a box fan which is almost unheard of in any VRBO. I loved reading about the history of the place. Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely return again. It's a magical rustic place where we got to relax.

just what we were looking for. Rustic and so homey. We felt so welcome and comfortable. Like we were home. Loved the pictures, books and story of the cabin. Peace . thank you

We loved this property. Nestled in a cove right on the water. It was quiet and not much boat traffic which was really nice. We will definitely be visiting again.
4.8
We had a very nice time getting away from it all. We kayaked and swam, listened to the birds, and cooked all kinds of good local fish. House was clean, owners/managers were very nice and easy to communicate with during our trip.

We were looking for a family spring break that would not involve a ton of packing and planning. The property, Boyd’s Branch was just what we were looking for. Clean, filled with amenities, games and a view from multiple rooms. We felt like we were staying at an uncle’s cabin. We felt at home the minute we arrived. Easy to find, room for our family of 5 and everything we didn’t bring! Bedding, towels, a kitchen we could cook anything in and games and books everywhere. Such a lovely setting to visit and we will for sure return!

The most peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway!

Excellent retreat for us four ladies for a long weekend. Well stocked cabin with all the linens and kitchen supplies you could need. Beds comfy and clean. Nice bathroom. Views of the lake from the screened in porch were wonderful and relaxing. Host communicated well and cabin was fresh and ready when we arrived.

What a great property. We stayed here for spring break with my wife and two young kids. The property kept us busy with kayaking in the bay, searching and collecting shells on the shore, fishing, playing at the dock, watching the geese and ducks, plenty of board games while at the cabin and all the appliances you might need to cook a good meal. Definitely recommend. We will be back!
4.8
Quiet cabin with great views and unlimited peace. Homelike feel and great owners. We are already planning our next trip there.

Host contacted us letting us know we could arrive early since cleaning was complete. Had spices so no additional spices were needed. Host gave us ice pack from freezer for trip home. Host was welcoming, home was satisfactory for us. Would rent again for a peaceful get away

This is such a unique cabin! It's got a vintage summer cabin feel that we loved. The stone fireplace, the bookshelves, and a view that can't be beat. Clean, comfy beds, and everything you could need. Highly recommend!
4.8
peaceful, quiet and comfortable. Getting there in the dark can be very tricky. There is no charcoal grill as listed and we had problems using the gas grill. We have never used one and there are no directions. Otherwise place was perfect for us.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique Kentucky lake house. The home is right on the lake with a private dock for fishing. The water was shallow so we only caught small ones, but enjoyed it. The provided kayaks were so much fun to paddle around the lake. Life jackets are provided as well. It is very peaceful and quiet except for the wildlife. The geese and crows were entertaining, and we saw deer multiple times. The library is extensive and the owners have great taste in authors. Also make sure to look carefully at the beautiful stone fireplace and outdoor rock work. There are interesting little hidden gems you have to look closely to find. The home is very well stocked with everything you might need. Bucky was friendly, and welcoming. All around great experience. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

We absolutely loved staying at this property! We spent precious family time fishing, swimming, and playing in the large yard. The beds were amazing and so comfortable. We took two trips to the planetarium and loved the Pink Floyd laser light show. We can’t wait to come back to Kentucky Lake!!
4.8
The cabin was a lot older than we expected. The house was clean when we arrived. A couple days into the stay we notice black spots on the Bedroom ceiling. Not sure if it was mold or not. The furniture was very old and has been used for many years. I think this place needs to get a little make over. I understand keeping it rustic but I feel like it it definitely needs some TLC.
4.8
This is the place if you’re looking for ultimate relaxation in a true Kentucky lake cabin.
Bucky (host) was amazing. Even took us on a boat tour of the lake!
Loved the puzzles and books, the back screened in porch with fans was my favorite spot.
Will definitely book again.

Property was as listed. Could use a little updating. Bucky was friendly and tried to get the Dish network working but couldn't and never got pontoon going. Great view of lake and quiet. Would recommend.

We hope and plan to go back. And a bonus the neighbors were amazing also

What a relaxing week
This is just what our family needed. A relaxing quiet week from all the noise in the world. We spent our days kayaking and SUP’ing, swimming and fishing. At night we all relaxed down by the fire listening to the night sounds fill the air. Mornings were the best. Waking up early before everyone else and having coffee on the screened in porch watching all the birds and squirrels go about their business. Close enough to LBL and other attractions but far enough away to escape the world!

Great Getaway
While this cabin is a little older, the feeling you get when you step inside is very nice. It has been family owned for many years and that history shows throughout. It has a good view of the cove, a private dock, and lots of shade. The host is very accommodating and even offered to let us check in a day early if we wanted. The screened in porch overlooking the water is a great place for early morning coffee and watching the lake come to life. If relaxing is what you want, this is a great place to do it!

This was our second time staying at this Lakeside property and it was equally as wonderful as before. Bucky even called us several hours before check in to let us know that the cabin was ready and we could head on down. Our family enjoyed having coffee each morning on the screened in porch while enjoying the lake view. We all had such a relaxing time and we look forward to returning in the future.
