Fantastic staff, comfortable rooms, great location
Shortage of towels for borrowing, expensive tours/trips
4.0
The location is lovely and the staff were wonderful. Food in the attached restaurant is very good and we absolutely loved the breakfasts. We saw monkeys and many types
of birds from our deck.
The bungalow type room was big enough for our family of four, but no separate bedroom as was indicated on the booking.com site. And there are many stairs up to the cabins - that was ok with us but might not work well for anyone not in good shape or with knee problems.

Great meals and location is absolute paradise.
4.0
Good breakfast choices, staff was very nice and supportive.
Beach was a bit too rocky to be swimmable.
4.5
The hotel had lovely views - we were in a jungle view to start and then switched to a sea view - both were lovely.
There was quite a steep climb to the rooms, and you get very hot by the time you get to the top but you get used to it and it's worth the climb!
3.0
The room and the view.
Staff was a bit dismissive, felt burnt out. Location is tough, it's beautiful but it's halfway between the town and the food beaches, so you get neither without a hike. Beach in front of property is not nice for swimming.
Restaurant is different. It is not the one advertised. It's ok but not as good as the reputation of the last place.
3.5
Great location at the end of the main beach. Friendly and relaxed staff. Beautiful views from the terrace bar and restaurant. Additional tours available to book through the hotel.
Fairly basic room for the price. Booked dinner at the hotel restaurant for 7.30pm, were told when we sat down that it was very late to be eating and the kitchen was closing soon so had to eat in a rush.
4.5
Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and great! anvisning on tours and What to do.
views are amazing both from room and restaurant.
We stayed in deluxe room /bungalow (room 11) which is up on the hill. as previous reviews mentioned, it Really is 150 steps in the stairs to get up there. it is kind of heavy actually and especially in the heat so be senare if you are not up for it. def worth it though as it the only rooms with air condition which is a must here if you Ask me. Views from the veranda is amazing and private feeling to it.
Birding tour was great with Rolando!
Breakfast is good . some hot options, cereals and fresh fruit.
restaurant for lunch and dinner is great and best in the area. def a bit pricey But Really good. Staff Very friendly.
Great place all in all!
basically No big things to complain about But to mention:
Servixe in breakfast (not same as lunch/dinner which is a separate restaurant and Staff) not Very service minded But No big deal.
Beach outside hotel not Really swimming-friendly. it is quite a hike to nicer beaches like Cocalito , around 25-30 minutes through the forest. Very beatiful But also a bit heavy, a bit up and downs and stairs which is heavy in the heat and humidity.
Be aware also that the sea is quite wild with big Waves and currents so not super easy and accessionen for lazy swimming.
2.5
The restaurant, staff and location were great.
Very uncomfortable mattress.

Amazing food on site. Helpful staff. All yours we requested were booked exactly to our specifications. Gorgeous location.
3.0
breakfast and restaurant was excellent food and staff at the restaurant were great. RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. NO POOL
path to a lovely jungle walk was steps away. Drake Bay itself has not much to offer other than tours. Loved all the visiting dogs... Needs some TLC ie; cusions for chairs and updated pictures in the rooms.
no pool but thats the way it is down there.. some rooms were a huge hike up a hill and that could be a problem for some people
1.5
outstanding location. staff (especially Rolando and Carlos) were friendly and extremely helpful
it’s a 2 star accommodation. our room had no Aircon, no fridge, no coffee making facilities, no TV, poor lighting - impossible to read, sheets that didn’t fit the bed(too small), toilet seat that did not fit the toilet, no lid on the toilet paper bins, strong smell of sewerage around the site when the weather was hot. breakfast was very limited - eggs and fruit every day. breakfast was 5.00-8.00 am only.
4.0
beautiful location, very helpful staff
the restaurant on site was not great and was a bit expensive, especially compared to others in the area.
4.5
Restaurant and staff there are outstanding. Be prepared for 150 plus steps to some rooms. The good part is that you get a great view. There is a good 15 minute walk to town but it is beautiful!
We ended up with a room on our return from Corcovado that did not have air conditioning.
5.0
Incredible location overlooking the ocean - upgraded room for no extra charge - sound of the ocean waves
3.5
Breakfast was Ok …….dinner was exceptional but that was not included.
The view was amazing. I felt my room and the hotel itself wasn’t well maintained. For example-The curtain on the sliding door was ripped , the rugs in the bathroom were dirty and worn, the lampshade needs to be replaced, the pillows on the deck chairs were shabby.

location
the hotel is dated ! the website is not accurate. it felt old and a little run down.
the beds were not comfortable.
4.5
Location is perfect. you are right on the bay with a great view. The room I stayed in was immaculately cleaned and had all the comforts you need (AC, shower, fridge). Also, the attached restaurant (Kalaluna) is outstanding.
If you are staying in one of the upper cabins with the great views, be ready for a climb. I am not sure the exact elevation gain, but the stairs are no joke.
4.5
Fantastic location and excellent breakfast in the morning. Staff all very helpful. Great location for access to the beaches in Drake Bay. Close walk to town
Bathroom could probably use updating and the communal bathroom appeared to be a bit worse for wear although we didn't use it
5.0
Beautiful location in Drake Bay. Set up on a hill with views of the bay and shoreline. Just a 10 min walk from the village. Staff is amazing. The staff that led the Corcodova and snorkeling tours were endlessly patient with all the questions and shared their knowledge about the area, animals, and sea creatures. The restaurant on site serves fantastic food - a fusion of Italian and Costa Rician. flavors. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
4.5
Hotel owner and manager are very helpful and friendly
5.0
The view is amazing. It's attached to a Restaurant that is Italian and Seafood specialty and is highly rated. The room and bathroom are on the larger side. The deck outside has a beautiful view of the bay. You can walk to many beaches for swimming and sunsets. Birdsong and wildlife all around you. Restaurants and markets are a short walk away. Throughly enjoyed my stay at Jinetes de Osa
