This is a stunning property! We stayed in the Orchard rooms that are on the property but not in the main house. The website pictures are totally accurate and even better in person! The grounds are gorgeous! The young ladies at reception were very welcoming and helpful! The location is within walking distance of sites you would want to visit and Normandy beaches are within easy driving distance. We would stay here again and not hesitate in recommending this property!

The lovely garden. The location was quiet and peaceful.
The curtain arrangement in our Orchard room was strange. One giant curtain on the door wall meant that at night the exit door was behind the curtain (no other windows or exits). It felt like sleeping in a tomb. With the curtain open though, the room was completely exposed to anyone outside so for privacy the curtain had to be pulled across the door and closed. The better alternative would have been two curtains the met at the middle where the door was.

Beautifully furnished, nice and light, comfy bed, pretty garden views, private. Breakfast was lovely and a great choice.
No hot drink making facilities in room. Expect this nowadays as standard. Noisy clanking of overhead footsteps as rooms not carpeted - could hear every footstep they made above us. Would suggest rugs on the floor would be a good idea.
No restaurant to get a meal in evening and no where to get a drink after reception shuts up shop.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and our room was very nice and looked just like the photos on Booking.com. There’s a pretty lawn and garden between the main hotel and the orchard rooms where we stayed, and convenient free parking. Breakfasts were great with eggs, bacon, charcuterie & cheeses, fresh fruits, and local yogurts and baked goods from Normandy.
The center of town was just a 10-minute walk away however we weren’t right in the main streets of town.

Quiet location but still very central. Stayed in the newer orchard rooms which were delightful
Breakfast was ok. We were down later than other guests but limited pastries and no croissants left

The breakfast was very good. Location of hotel also very good. Modern spacious room in Orchard building. Very nice staff!
Could not turn on heated towel bars.
Hair blower very difficult to operate.
Driveway to Orchard building from both directions very dark at night. Should have some kind of lighting.

The selections for breakfast were adequate but not outstanding.
The staff was very helpful. I became ill with a virus and was allowed to extend my check out by one hour. That was very kind. They also allowed us to leave our luggage until our afternoon train departure.

Wonderful staff. Trés gentile! Large rooms and larger than typical bathrooms. I recommend booking the orchard rooms- very modern, large bath and terrace overlooking gardens.
Heat didn’t seem to work very well on rooms on the main part of the hotel.

Location was terrific, very comfortable and extremely clean.
No tea coffee making facilities in the room, although free coffe/tea machine in the main house if staying in a garden room a bit of a walk if like me a coffee fix first thing is a must.

I thought that the hotel stay was very interesting. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was very nice. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The rooms were in an orchard, which was amazing.
The rooms were very plain and the beds were not comfortable: too hard. Getting your luggage to the rooms was a bit of a challenge. My daughter and I are walkers, so all the walking downtown was not a problem, but it could be for some people.

We stayed in room 1 of the Double Room - Orchard Extension Building, which is located in the back part of the property, with parking next to the building. The room was large with a king size bed. Nicely decorated. Very clean. A good breakfast. A quick walk to the Bayeux Tapestry and the Cathedral. We just spent a month traveling around France, and this was our favorite hotel room. We especially liked that we could see the evening Cathedral light show from our private patio.

This is a wonderful place to stay...my only regret is that we had only booked one night. The Domaine de Bayeux is a wonderful 18th century building which has been stunningly renovated to reflect a remarkably clean, crisp and modern interior. We stayed in the attic room which was really impressive. The bathroom featured a large stand alone tub, a rain shower and a huge double sink counter top. I will venture a guess that it was almost as large as the bedroom. The location is great with ample on-site parking and the staff are warm and inviting. Thank you.

Lovely room walking distance to town
We had to go into the main house to get a drink. There was a fridge in the room but had nothing in it, not even a bottle of water.

The room was very large, had air conditioning and a lovely view over the garden. In addition it was only a short walk to the centre of Bayeux. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was god value.
I would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a sign saying that you could not make your own if you had the necessary equipment. I believe there were facilities to make tea and coffee in the main building but we were not told about this and the orchard rooms were not close to the main building.
