The location is one of the best I have ever stayed in. It’s worth every penny.
The service and the staff are so attentive and accommodating.
The food and especially the breakfast is very good. They also customised the food for us and I really appreciate that.
The spa is a must visit! And quite affordable.
The rooms are a bit old and regular maintenance is needed. If they are able to keep up the maintenance would definitely visit again.

Beautiful scenery and layout of the hotel. The view is truly spectacular and breathtaking. The breakfast buffet and a la carte dinner were also very good.
Unfortunately we visited on NYE and the staff decided to through the loudest party imaginable. At no point did I see more than 4 guests (of the fully booked hotel) participate in the celebration. The restaurant served a costly New Years Eve buffet dinner, which was very disappointing, especially compared to the good breakfast and a la carte dinner they served. We were not informed beforehand (or when ordering) that the restaurant/hotel does not have a license to sell alcohol [the lack of license is completely fine and acceptable, but we were only informed after waiting for a drink for 20min that they were not able to serve us anything with alcohol].

Reception staff while checking at night - they were very polite and served welcome drink with smile
They allowed me to park my car near the entrance cuz the parking slots were full
Complementary breakfast is very good and the Restuarent staffs are very good and helpful
Cleaning staffs are too good with smiling faces
Cost per night is way too high compared to other resorts in Munnar,
Reception staff Mr. Shyam’s behavior towards the guests is totally unacceptable

The view was breathtakingly beautiful, ever-changing as the day passed. The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The food served was quite tasteful and the staff took into account specific food requirements. The spa though basic was very good.
The best thing going for the property is the amazing view. If only some improvements could be made to the facilities and rooms it would really lift up the guest experience. Small but significant things like plug points at the right places, chairs that do not sag, hooks in the bathroom, clothes hangers, doors to be easy to open and close, rental bikes that are functional etc. Perhaps the management is aware of these already but an overhaul of existing facilities is badly needed.

The view was great from the cafe/restaurant overlooking a lake. The staff was so helpful and always greeted with a welcoming smile. The staff was friendly and assisted with the direction to the resort and night check in. We are thankful to have the meals prepared at night. There was a leakage issue on the rooms that we have booked and once we complained, they have switched us to the Premium view room without additional charges.
1) Electricity cut off few times at night.
2) Hot shower on and off.
3) Laundry huge mess up.
We are still okay with the two issues highlighted above but the third one made our stay bad.
We send a long & wide shawl for laundry and it came back shrunk with the colours almost 70% gone. They knew it was damaged initially but just passed it to us and left just without notifying. When we checked, it was damaged and complained to seek for compensation. This was still okay as the staff apologised and said the person who did the laundry did not know how to do it. By right they should have asked us at least if they don’t know.
The huge part came out when we were checking out to make final payment and to ask for the compensation. The director who was present at site was extremely RUDE! He raised his voice to us (CUSTOMERS) and calling our clothes as a fake. Asking for a receipt of the shawl, I gotta know who in the world keeps a receipt of a clothes at least more than 30 days? when we ask him back, he says he doesn’t know. I agree with his point on the depreciation value but his whole body language, his voice tone, the way he handled the whole issue was extremely terrible. We have travelled to India a lot of times but this is the first time we have faced this issue and the first time with this kind of person! His rudeness seems to speak for the way a “MANAGEMENT” handles the customer. He does not know how to handle an issue nor to handle a customer. We requested a black and white (official email or letter) for the refund as they keep on mentioning they will refund within 2 weeks and they refused.
Although he gave back 50% of the value of the shawl, it was never about the money but the attitude of a person to handle an issue was extreme terrible. I am an international traveller and I had big hopes for this kind of 4 star resort and this director’s attitude just made it like it was a 1 star resort.
