The room was a good size, AC was working well.
I reserved 2 non-smoking economy deluxe rooms and requested adjacent or at least same floor rooms 9 days ahead of my stay. They confirmed approval of my request day before and so I was expecting such, given that the two-day non-cancellation policy already applied. I found out upon checking in that they were giving me rooms on separate floors AND one room was suddenly a smoking room. Definitely not what I signed up for :( (rant warning)
It took a very lengthy and stressful discussion as we were going in circles. As politely as I could, I insisted I wanted to at least get what I ordered or be able to cancel without being charged. A booking IS a contract and I certainly wasn't the one who broke the contract. I was asking for accountability from them since it wasn't my fault that they gave away my room or they didn't have available non-smoking rooms in the first place. Why did they offer and accept via Booking.com if they won't be honoring it?
They said I can no longer cancel since it was booked at Booking.com and that if I cancelled, they'd be the ones to pay for the booking. They were insisting that I take what they had at that time or they can give me same-floor non-smoking rooms but that I had to pay extra since the next available room was a bit bigger than economy deluxe. Very foot-in-the-door. It wasn't what I signed up for and felt like I was being scammed :(
Eventually after further discussion they gave me the same-floor, non-smoking rooms with the one bigger room at no additional cost. I am grateful that they finally tried to take accountability but the stress of the whole situation was definitely not worth it.
Also a tip to those looking to stay here: the location is very accessible and near many establishments. Just a heads up that it's right inside a red light district.

Nice pool.Nice size balcony to view the outside.Helpful staff.
Very small elevator
Lighting layout needs improvement. Too much stuff in the refrigerator taking away space from the things I want to put in myself.

Clean rooms, small nice gym, good food, nice guys on the parking, location close to walking street.
..The staff must to be more flexible! Must to think fast, do not lose time of customers. Must to make the system easier.

I have to say, this hotel is very well managed and provides a great short term stay. The staff are all extremely courteous, respectful and professional in all of the areas (front desk, restaurant, pool, and housekeeping). A few minor things came up during my stay, but the staff responded politely and immediately took care of them.
The hotel is very quiet, especially on the back poolside, even though it's just one minute from the main street. The pool area is exceptional, great for chilling with a coffee in the morning, a swim early afternoon, or anytime. The restaurant is one of the better ones in the area, especially for burgers and steaks. The balcony had a great view. My room was large with a sofa (not very comfortable, so I didn't use it as much as expected), really nice decor and well maintained, and large refrigerator. I would probably go for a smaller room without sofa next time (but still overlooking the pool). I don't regard the hotel as budget, as the price is a bit high for the overall surrounding environment, but many Ph hotels are like that, unfortunately.
I requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel kindly arranged for that, but note that for a non-smoking room, you will be presented with a policy stating that you could be fined P25,000 if the staff discovers that smoking took place in your non-smoking room (so you/visitors need to go outside or to pool area if you do smoke). But I appreciated this attention to detail by the hotel management and staff, which I find to be far above average!
The only thing was the large refrigerator in its wooden casing on a wooden floor: The refrigerator is crazy loud when its coolant turns on frequently. You can hear the huge buzzing even when walking from the elevator to the room! I don't fault the hotel for this, but they may try to find ways to muffle this a bit, since light sleepers or people with sensitive ears may find it quite annoying (which I did). But this turned out to be a regular minor issue rather than a big issue. Overall, I had a great stay and will definitely go back for convenient chill holidays in the future!
