DONT STAY IF YOU'RE DISABLED

The morning staff were nice

Absolutely awful. In all honesty, it is probably the worst place I've ever stayed as a disabled person. The expression "forgotten in the corner" is all I could use. Disabled people are tossed to a room as far from the rest of people, the entrance and facilities as physically possible with with 2 flights of stairs that have lifts over them that aren't accessible and required a key from staff which is just to get to the room. The lift hasn't been serviced of cleaned in months and was absolutely thick with dust to the point I had an asthma attack. I have contacted the property to complain and they have literally just ignored me. It's absolutely vulgar.

Stayover after the football

Central location near shops or pubs and restaurants. Lovely seating area to have a drink and watch tv.

Had window open due to room having strong smell of paint. Very noisey at night with drunks keeping you awake from 1am onwards. Staff apologised but didnt seem that bothered. Very loud guests as bar open 24 hours. Seem to get a lot of coach trips staying overnight who take up all space in restaurant. Free breakfast poor quality.

Great location, good staff... hotel configuration could do with some work.

The staff (shout out to Amanda) were helpful and smiley. The hotel had a good choice of drinks (although expensive for what it was). Beds and bathrooms were clean. Absolutely amazing location right in the middle of the city.

Having been allocated rooms in the extension that meant going through the second floor of the hotel first and then back down to the extension area where the rooms were. Rooms have very thin walls, and the doors slam very hard. Breakfast was okay, although with such a busy time on a Sunday morning, things were running out fast.

The staff at Holiday Inn Middlesbrough- Centre Square truly went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was exceptional. Their professionalism and attentiveness to our needs were refreshing and made us feel like a valued guest. The housekeeping team has done a good job. Nice break in Middlesbrough

Very modern hotel. Looks new. All the public area and room looks very clean and esthetical. Great breakfast. I would maybe add some cold meat and cheese as continental option. The staff are very friendly and open minded. Very good additions like water with lemon and fruit for guests. The bed in the room, however, is not entirely comfortable and it was find it difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position. The housekeeping team took good care of the room during our stay, however I left a dirty towel on the floor twice and came back hanging twice. When I asked for a replacement in person, they looked surprised and didn't understand why I was asking for a replacement.
