Would highly recommend the Old Convent to anyone traveling the Highlands!

The location was a great central point when traveling through different places in the Highlands. It was clean, well stocked, and the owners are phenomenal!

Incredible apartment, beautiful surroundings, lovely friendly, helpful hosts

Felicity & Chris met us to hand over keys and show us how to use facilities in the apartment - also very helpful giving us advice on where to go in the surrounding areas etc. The apartment had everything required for our self catering stay. It exceeded our expectations... beautiful place. Beautifully renovated rooms, we were blown away by the standard of the work done and still ongoing - attention to detail absolutely beautifully done. Outside area - stunning. Able to let our dog off his lead and run around, lovely to pop out for walks. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Excellent stay in a nicely converted convent.

Felicity and Chris are excellent hosts. There was a major storm the day we were leaving, they were very helpful during this time and also gave us a bit extra time for us to check out as all the power went out!

The apartment was stunning and had everything we needed.

The location was perfect, just a few minutes drive into the centre. The hosts gave suggestions of where to go and had made up a book to help.

We write this review in English (al least we try) because we want to thank our hosts Felicity and Chris for the best holiday we ever had in The Old Convent in Fort Augustus. What is left to say after this statement? Only a few words: the apartment is beautifully renovated, perfectly equipped and absolutely clean and spotless. Felicity and Chris are very welcoming hosts and always ready for useful advices. Without their help we wouldn't have seen the Silver Sands of Morar, used the Glenelg Skye Ferry or eaten the delicious pizza at Beaufort House. We will never forget our stay in The Old Convent, many thanks Tanja und Stefan (Bielefeld, Germany)

Beautiful little town with plenty to do

Looks old on the outside, then step inside and it was beautiful

Chris and Felicity were extremely welcoming and helpful. The apartment was exceptional and a credit to them. Fort Augustus is the perfect base to explore the Highlands and the apartment was the perfect base in Fort Augustus! Would recommend without hesitation.

Had a fantastic time perfect in every way.

Charming refurbished to a high specification. Very clean well maintained with lots of extra detail. A lot of care and pride taken in the presentation. Impressed with the handmade soap!

Second time and even more impressed

This time my wife, myself and our golden retriever stayed at the lovely spacious apartment on the first floor for four nights. It had lovely views and a large space for all of us. Felicity and Chris were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We loved all their attention to details in the apartment and also the garden which was amazing! Thank you and maybe there’s a third time to stay at this beautiful property if we visit the highlands again.

Great hosts with a wonderful apartment. Would recommend this to anyone.

Everything was of the highest standard and the apartment had everything you needed. Very easy to walk into Fort Augustus via the road or the canal path. Great walks direct from the property.

Personally I found that there weren't enough towels and the ones that were provided, whilst soft and fluffy were on the small side.

Perfect stay

We have just come back from a fantastic stay in the most stunning accommodation we have ever stayed in. The work that Chris and Felicity have put into the apartments, are nothing short of exceptional. Every room is just perfect, and we enjoyed each one. The best bit, was the log fire. Our cockapoo didn't want to move away, except when we needed to put another log in. I highly recommend staying here as the location to everything is spot on and great walks if you have a dog.

A fabulous short stay in October at The Old Convent.

The apartment at the Old Convent was fabulous. So welcoming and it is beautifully furnished with attention to detail and the most amaxing shower. It was perfect for our break in Fort Augustus. Only a short walk into the town and quiet and comfortable to relax in. Chris and Felicity have done an amazing job in restoring and modernising the Old Convent yet still retaining original features. They are most welcoming and helpful with lots of tips about the local area. This was our first visit but we will definitely be back. This is a gem and we loved it.

There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like. It was perfect.

Excellent stay in a great location

Chris and Felicity gave some great advice of places to visit (we did them all 😁) and the best places to eat, very knowledgeable of the area and very friendly. The conversion has been very sympathetically carries out to a very high standard. It felt very homely to come back to after a day out walking, very warm and comfortable.

Perfect place for relaxing stay

We loved our stay at the old convent. The hosts who live on the other side of the building were very helpful and knowledgable about the area with recommendations etc but left us to get on with our trip. The location was a short walk to the town and Loch Ness and also well placed to drive to other local attractions. The property was well equipped with everything we needed and was decorated to a high standard. We would definitely stay here again should we visit the highlands.

Outstanding ! ... can't wait to return

Absolutely perfect, so good we wished we lived there. Excellent refurbishment of an old convent making the best of the old building and new kitchen and bathroom.

Only issue was the wifi but the building has 3 foot thick solid walls as it is so old. There are 2 hotspots per apartment to get round this and it isn't a serious issue but everything else is perfect.
