Beautiful views of the valley, truly unique steam punk themed hostel and a very comfortable place to stay. I was very generously given a single room at an off season price- the bed was super comfy and I slept great. Ivan made dinner for me two nights and also breakfast one morning, all of which were delicious. The common area has a great feel- fire burning, open 24hr and even a flatscreen TV with Netflix if you wanna watch a movie. Also loads of friendly pets- cats and dogs. Big love for Ghenghis the third! The swimming pool area is a lovely place to chill too.
Due to staffing issues breakfast wasn’t available every day, but it just meant a short trip into town, which was fine.

The design of the whole place is truly amazing. The host Ivan is truly generous. His dogs, his cats and his plants are definitely part of the experience. Coming here in January during the low season, he offered to upgrade pretty much everyone that was here at the same time. And he makes the best of empanadas! Just don't expect the hippie-dippie vibe of Pisac there, it's a whole different atmosphere.

Arrived in Peru, stumbled upon a 3000-meter natural paradise. Unfortunately, altitude got the best of me, but the owner, Ivan, was an absolute gem. Grateful for the extra days I decided to spend there to recover, soaking in the breathtaking view and peaceful vibes.
This hostel? It's a heartfelt mix of rustic charm and creativity, surrounded by plants, five lovely cats, and two sweet dogs. Dorms are like a cozy haven with stylish flair and privacy curtains. The communal spots? Pure magic with killer views.
You have the collective bus pass just on the street and you could visit the ruins for 2 sol. You have a bakery and shop just thee.
Ivan, the creative genius and kitchen wizard behind this haven, has an incredible story – degrees, journeys around the world with his boat, global motorbike adventures. Despite being super busy, he's a helpful soul, not cool with rule-breakers threatening the sanctuary he poured love into.
Honestly, the rules are simple: No smoking, no drugs, keep the night quiet in dorms and the garden, etc. Embrace nature, plants, and peaceful vibes – they're celebrated here. Just be mindful; Ivan's not vibing with the hippie and drug scene.
In short, it's not just a place; it's an authentic mountain retreat. Follow the rules, and you'll uncover something truly special.
If you are allergic or annoying by animals this place is not for you. Animals are always around also sometimes near the dormitory or the table when you eat but their are super lovely!!

The bed was comfortable and I can take as much blanket as I want. Interesting and unique design of this Guesthouse. Amazing view from Guesthouse. Very calm and quiet at night.
For the nice view of course need to climbing to up😃 I was fine because I’m backpacker but it’s will be hard for people travelling with suitcase 🧳😆

Incredible property, was so impressed by the stylish unique design and the free upgrade that Ivan provided me with upon arrival. Set on a hill, just outside of town, it’s a paradise tucked away with the most wonderful vibe and likeminded travellers.
Nothing, it was wonderful.

It might be the best hostel I've ever stayed in my life! It is very close to Pisac but at the same time in a location where you can enjoy the valley and feel the serenity of the sacred valley. The view is perfect. Swimming in the pool with this view is even more perfect. The food is prepared by a master Peruvian chef and is very delicious. I tasted excellent flavors. Ivan, the owner of the hostel, always helped me with everything. We even went on a trek together and had a great time. I think you can come to Pisac just to stay here. Additionally, the hostel is very clean, the rooms have valley views and the internet connection works very well.
Nothing to say bad here. It's amazing!

Ivan upgraded me to a private villa which was just what I need after some days hiking in the mountains. Got the best sleep of my trip here so far. Was also nice to have dogs around :)

Ivan has crafted Wolf Totem with love and care and attention to detail. The views are absolutely out of this world - genuinely the best in Pisac and the food was just as great. The menu is carefully planned and deliciously executed. Ivan kindly upgraded my room to a private instead of a dorm which I really really appreciated. Highly recommend
Nothing!

Wolf Totem is a lovely and tasteful hostel located in the Sacred Valley. I came because I needed a place to rest and recover. Ivan’s food was delicious, homemade, and healing. He gave me a free upgrade in my own private villa with a gorgeous view of the valley. This place is special. I will be back here soon.

The common room was wonderful to hang out, relax, meet other travelers, and had great views. The unique furniture and layout was really cool. Great Argentinian wine , amazing Wi-Fi, and nice kitchen

This place is awesome!! Made a friend for life here. The community areas are awesome for hanging out. Met many awesome folks. I’ll be back for sure. Some tips: bring a warm coat, it’s in the mountains—not a poncho, follow the rules—makes it better for everyone, and the pool is incredible too—so bring your swim trunks. Thanks Ivan for creating this place.

A quiet and peaceful place in the mountain with beautiful views. The bed is big and comfortable. With good Wi-Fi and hot shower. And there’s a big kitchen.Really happy to be staying here!

Amazing location, phenomenal view. Accommodating & friendly host who even gave us a free room upgrade due to availability!
Not enough lighting outside for the evenings - just makes it difficult to navigate the property/stairs.

I was given a free room upgrade for some reason 😆 the room was small and cozy, with an incredible view. It was very calm and tranquil to stay there :))

Wow! What can I complain about?! One of the most enjoyable stays during my trip in Latin America! Ivan the owner made me feel really welcome.
Wolf Totem is amazing with reasonable price. Located on the hill, its view is really sick. As a former stargazing guide and amateur photographer, Wolf Totem is a perfect spot for me! It's very photogenic and in the evening definitely perfect for watching the night sky! And the vibe is quite nice for socialising. I can simply indulge myself in this property without even going out.
I've noticed a lot of details and I can tell that Ivan has put all his heart in this project. I love the common area, it's very cozy. The outdoor pool is a big bonus. The bathroom is nice, much more spacious than the ones in most other hostels, the hot water comes really quickly, even in this rural area in Peru.
Ivan is also a very nice host. He's very helpful and gave me a lot of advices and information to explore this area. If you'd also like an in-depth chat, he's the right person cause he's well experienced and has traveled a lot.
I feel really grateful and I'm glad that I've stayed here!

wow this place is so so incredibly peaceful and the views are amazing. They gave me a free upgrade on my room and it was exactly what I needed. everything is an art project here and it inspired me so much in my own visionary paintings. I look forward to coming back here again!

Just out of town up the hill you will find this place of peace & quiet. Great views. And it has a pool which is a bonus for daytimes which could get hot unlike the evenings which were cold- wrap up warm. Thank you for everything

Wolf totem is the perfect place for a backpacker to stay in pisac.
I liked everything about it. The dormitorios are big, clean, and with great views everywhere you look.
The bed are huge and comfy with a lot of space to put your personal stuff.
There is an awsome pool viewing the valley.
Ivan the owner is helpful and fun to hang out with. He built this place with a lot of love and creativity.
The food is international and so so yummy!
The common space is beautiful and welcoming to meet people and have fun.
100% recommended and definitely will love to come back again :)

Fortunately , I chose to stay at the Wolf Totem hostel. Accommodations are excellent : very hot water , purified water, unique decor, pleasant staff and an immaculate view. Thank you :)
No complaints. The accommodations are splendid and I shall return.
4.3
The most beautiful location possible in pisac. Incredible views of the mountains with an eagles eye over the town.
4.3
character of the buildings, locations and vibe of the host.
4.3
Just perfect. Everything. The view must be the best in all of Pisac and on top of it, you have one of Pisacs best restaurants in your backyard. Ivan has put an enormous amount of love into building this piece of heaven and I’m grateful he wants to share it with us! Only bad thing is… I found myself really struggling to leave every day - even just for the daily stroll down to Pisac town. When you literally have everything you need here and you live as much on the mountain you can, why go anywhere ;-) ?
as said above - it’s a really tough place to leave <3

I loved my stay at Wolf Totem.
After being in the jungle for two weeks I needed a sanctuary to relax at and this place was perfect. The property is set on a hill with several staircases leading up to it, so the less luggage you have, the better.
You can expect to be greeted by Ivan, the owner, who will give you a tour, show you your bed or room, and explain how the guesthouse works. Things run a bit differently than at a typical hostel, but that's part of the charm and though it won't be for everyone, it does a great job at keeping the vibes high. I won't spoil the surprise by telling you why, you'll see for yourself..
The night I arrived there were a few newcomers and I had a great time getting to know people in the lounge. It's got a really cool aesthetic, and a unique and worldly clientele which makes for some interesting conversations.
I had booked a private room, which turned out to be the coziest place to retreat to and recharge. I had The Best sleep in weeks on the comfiest bed I found in Peru, with the most wonderful down quilt. Ivan I need to know where you got that quilt, I need it!
The wifi worked great, the views were amazing, I didn't go in the pool because I ran out of time, but it looked very inviting.
I know I won't stay anywhere other than Wolf Totem next time I'm in Pisac, I already miss it and want to go back!
My only criticism is that a couple times I went in and found none of the toilets had paper. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice if they were cleaned more often. Especially the one next to the lounge.
