About this bed and breakfast
If you're looking for a central location to experience the unique entertainment of Denver and Boulder along with beautiful mountain recreation, the resting spot for you is with us. We have a detached 2BR guest house on our property that is clean, private, and comfortable. Next to a neighborhood park if you want to walk or play.
This guest house is in our backyard, so you have your own space with privacy away from our main house and away from the road. Two comfortable bedrooms with queen beds, spacious full kitchen, clean bathroom, and a living room with a sleeper couch. Sleeper couch is comfortable sleeping and has a soft mattress topper, which further helps. Kitchen has coffee, teas, and everything you need to prepare meals. TV has roku with apps. Driveway parking space available. Windows and backyard have partial views of the mountains. Next door to a neighborhood park with charcoal grills, basketball court, and horseshoe pits. 10min to Tennyson Street, Denver 15min to downtown Denver 20min to Red Rocks park and amphitheater 25min to Boulder 1 hour to 1 hour and a half to most front range 14K mtn. trailheads 1 hour and 20min to Rocky Mtn. N.P.
The detached guest house is yours. We have a locking key code system to secure this detached unit. Access to the guest house through a closed gate from our driveway and into the backyard. My wife and I live in the separate main house across the yard. We are certainly available if you need anything. Otherwise, you have your own house with total privacy.
***PLEASE READ AND CONFIRM***: If you are interested in staying at our place, please let me know when you send me a message: that you accept the below expectations, tell me who would be coming, and what the purpose of your trip is.
Please leave the place as you found it. We take the time to prepare a clean and organized space for each group of guests when they arrive. We ask you show us the same high level of respect and leave our place in a clean and organized condition. Consider how you would like house guests to treat your own home. We like to consider this as more of a homey and charming experience than a hotel. The $200 "Deposit" is for damage, theft, or breakage. It would only be claimed after checkout for the reasons above. If common sense is used to treat our guest house with respect and leave it clean, we will not claim the deposit. We do not allow any smoking inside.
We are dog lovers and are pet friendly, provided they are well behaved and house trained. The fee for pets is $50. Maximum is two pets. The pets should be on the floor, not on the bed or couch. We expect the “leave no trace” principle to be respected when your pet stays at our guest house. The backyard is shared with us and we ask that you supervise your dog if playing in the yard. We have young kids who play in the yard, so we ask that your dog goes to the bathroom at the park neighboring our property (literally right next door). If you would like to bring a pet, please indicate to me what type of pet and how large.
Be respectful of the noise level coming out of your house, especially after 10PM.
No unannounced guests.
We have two security cameras on the outside of our property: one is a ring doorbell outside our main house, the other is a backyard security camera.
We may be able to accommodate early check in or late check out requests. Please ask me if this is something you are interested in. We will do our best, but can not guarantee this, particularly if we have guests checking out and in on the same day.

We were satisfied with the house and location.

Location is wonderful and the property is comfortable, but is in need of maintenance.

It was a very pleasant stay at this property m, th hour had everything as described in the listing plus some small extra commodities provided in the bathroom and the kitchen. Didn’t get bother at all by owner as it is the back house. Only thing that need to be fixed is the WiFi signal that was a little weak. Also the house lock master takes a little bit of time to understand.

We had a great stay here. Beautiful park right next door was the perfect location to walk our dog. Just enough room for my husband, me and my mother. We were in town visiting family just a short mile away. Close to lots of quick shopping needs. We will definitely stay here again.

This property was a perfect place for us. We were visiting our son’s family. The house was clean and stocked well for our needs.Quiet and safe seeming community. Our granddaughter, who is 2, loved the park next door. She still talks about her “Nana and Papa’s” park. The house was just the right size for my husband and myself. We had planned on bringing our little dog with us but the high temperatures (115-120 degrees in Kansas) during our drive would have been too much for him. This property would have been great for him since the park is right next door. We hope to get this property the next time we visit our son. We were so pleased with this property. Thank you for providing such a cute house and pleasant stay!

Our host Jeff was easy to work with and we loved the quite neighborhood. The location was close to shopping/restaurants.
However, a deeper cleaning of the house & yard (the hedge near the gate needs to be cut back)would have made this a 5 star rental. Also, the liquid hand soap was empty.

Worked out well for proximity to trails and activities. Very quiet neighborhood.

Property is easy to find and is convenient to the interstate, a small park, a grocery, and several restaurants.
The shower is great! Unfortunately, it was unseasonably hot when we visited and the A/C unit simply could not keep up during the heat of the day. There were not screens on the windows; therefore, we couldn't open windows. The ceiling fan in the living room was great, but a couple of box fans would have been helpful to circulate some air to the bedrooms
Communication with owner was ideal; check-in and check-out were simple.

Convenient location to get to the foothills, Red Rocks, and Denver. It could stand to be deeped cleaned. Lots of cobwebs in the vaulted ceiling and bathroom. And it would benefit from shades/blinds on the bedroom with two windows.

Easy to get in and out - centralized location.

Bathroom and kitchen were the only room clean. Carpet throughout really needs replacing and the front door would not stay shut uless we locked it.

A comfortable private guesthouse for my husband and I. The location was convenient for visiting our son who lives on the south side of Arvada. Check in/out was easy and Jeff responded quickly to questions/requests via VRBO messaging.

Great location, close to the mountains and downtown. Located in a quiet neighborhood next to a park. The little rental had its own access gate. Perfect place for vacation stay. Bonus- the snow on and around the property was beautiful!

The park next to the house was great. We missed not having a washer and dryer and a second bathroom.

Great location!
The location isn't far from where you may want to go. We were able to drive to Estes Park, Golden, and downtown Denver with ease. We cooked our own meals, so having a grocery store nearby was great.

Great Hosts
At first, I was a little nervous about staying in someone else's back yard with my dog and teenage son. But once we settled in and met the owners (who were super-cooperative) ... the entire stay felt very comfortable. They even let our dogs play to gather in the yard. It was a great experience, and we would return again.

Perfect
We loved our stay here! It was perfect for my husband, our toddler and I. The park next door is perfect for stroller walks or playing on the playground, and the location was a perfect distance to both Denver and Boulder. The house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place - Central to all our activities
This property was quiet and clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. We were able to cook our meals there and come and go as needed. It is right next door to a nice park, where my teens were able to get a run in. The owner was very quick on communication and easy to reach out to. I would recommend this place to any small - medium sized families - especially if you have little kids! Thanks for a great stay.

Cute and quiet
A cute and comfortable place for 3 people. Next to a nice park. Had everything you would need. The only complaint I have is when using the oven, I found it very messy. Could use a good cleaning.
