What a wonderful family spot. There were 5 of us, my husband and I, our 16 year old son and our 21 year old son and his girlfriend. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space but also plenty of room for us all to gather together. This is our 4th year coming us so they can all ski Saddleback and Sugarloaf, each time has been a different rental and we have enjoyed them all but there is already a request from them to book this one again next year. The sunsets from the livingroom, the deer and turkeys in the yard and the basement area for the 16 year old to watch tv in at night….all perfect. Thank you!

This was our 2nd stay at Alpine Loon Lodge. As it was last year, it was the perfect week of relaxing, reading, hiking, walks in the neighborhood and a little swimming.
The weather was not the best for us, but it didn’t ruin our experience.
The house is very clean and has everything you need.
We hope to be back next year!

House was great, location was beautiful. For the price the house needs to be cleaned up a little. A lot of things broken. No sponges, no dishwasher soap, underneath sink is really old and getting moldy. Needs attention.
I would give it 3.5 stars but no selection for it.
Everything else was fantastic it just needs a little attention to detail. I would purchase if it was for sale

We had a great stay at Alpine Loon Lodge. It felt very much like a lake cabin house and the outdoor deck with view of the lake was amazing. Very spacious. It felt very private. Super close to the downtown Rangeley area and to any lake activities. Would recommend!

This is our third stay in Rangeley to enjoy a ski weekend and we were delighted with our choice to stay at the Alpine Lion Lodge. Walking into the open living area, took our breath away. The view of the sunset over the lake was spectacular! The house was extremely comfortable for our three generation family of five. Playfully decorated with bears and loons, the all wood interior is gracious and welcoming. The generous first floor master bedroom worked great for us grandparents, and the younger generation spread out between the second floor loft and expansive finished basement. It's close to town and the road to Saddleback. We'll be back!

We've been staying here for years..sometimes twice a year! Spacious yet cozy with an amazing deck overlooking a private large back yard. The deck is perfect for afternoon hangouts as the sun passes over creating a toasty spot for chilling, having cocktails and watching the sun set. Lots of deer in the yard and around the property so make sure to respect nature and if you're traveling with a dog your
pooch should be well behaved and doesn't chase or stray beyond the property line. A truly magical spot. The staff at Morton and Furbish are top notch friendly professionals who make your stay the very best. We love them and this property.
Enjoy!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and ready to cook in! The area this house is located is on a hill overlooking the lake, the view was very nice and the area was quiet. We saw many deer as we traveled back and forth to the house! The loft had light bulbs out, the phone was answered before 7:30 am and maintenance showed up in less than an hour. Very friendly and respectful of my time. I will definitely use Morton Furbish next time I am in the area.

Early April mi-week vacation
This property was just as advertised and shown on the Morton Furbish website. The property was just what I was looking for and featured all of the comforts of home, but with a rustic feel that made me feel that I was on vacation. Loved the true wood stove, which I used regularly. Appreciated being able to cook/eat at home, and kitchen was well appointed. Got in some great spring skiing with sun and temps around 50 on what was probably some of the last days of good skiing for the year- well located about 15 minutes from the mountain.

Lovely stay! Lovely view, very quiet, and nestled on a hilltop. The house was warm and lights were on upon a late arrival on a cold evening! Very welcoming and clean! Plenty of linens, blankets, etc.
Lots of board games and extra space for just hanging out and relaxing. The wood stove was perfect after a rainy/snowy ski day. Four wheel drive is a must in snowstorms, but no problems with it! Would absolutely rent again soon!

Great stay
We very much enjoyed our recent stay at Alpine Loon Lodge. The cabin was clean, warm and we felt very much at home. Enjoyed watching the sun-sets across Rangeley lake and early morning coffee with the same view. The cabin was easy to access and the location was ideal for us splitting the distance between Saddleback and Rangeley village. Thank you!

Everything
I really want to award 5 stars, because I was entirely happy and then some.
The kitchen was well appointed with tools and staples (spices, cooking oil etc). We found a puzzle with room to work, spotted a Ruffed Grouse and were able to zoom in with the field glasses there, and identify with the Bird Guide provided. The carport made transition easy even after the nor'easter. The plow guy showed up before I could even think to enquire.
The listing suggests 4WD is necessary, but good snow tires will suffice (unless you're driving an old Chevy).
There is good walking in a quiet settlement.
The king bed is comfy.
The lighting is cozy (not good for seeing).
The wood stove roared away (and consumed wood faster than I'd imagined) but it gave great ambiance and the wood supply was generous.
We were just two of us and a labradoodle, but I could imagine two couples with some kids, or even three couples getting on quite well here.
Convenient to the Mountain access road and amenities.
We'd rent this place again.

Fantastic
Alpine Loon Lodge is tucked in the mountains with a magnificent view of Rangeley Lake and surrounding ranges. The house was immaculate with all the comforts of home. The owners provide wood for the wood stove which is greatly appreciated. It's cozy and I highly recommend working with Morton and Furbish as they are extremely attentive to their renters needs.

Thanksgiving stay
The house was very nice and clean. Great views and pretty peaceful. I would like to revisit in the spring/summer months and take advantage of the activities on the lake.

Amazing view / Awesome home!!
We had a phenomenal time at the Alpine Loon Lodge!! We loved being able to enjoy the view in the morning with a hot cup of coffee/tea and at night with all the stars. The pictures online did not do the place justice! It has a really nice rustic open feel with wood burning stove. Close to everything around the Rangeley Lakes area. Our dog loved it too! We would love to come back sometime.

Such a great place to stay
We walked in amd were so happy. This place looks exactly like the pictures. It was clean and they have just about everything you could ever need. My grandkids loved having the downstairs area to hang out while the adults hung out upstairs. We will definetely come back one day. Being from the south we were a little concerned about not having air conditioning but we never even missed it.

Much needed R&R mixed with a little adventure
LOVED the area!!! The house was great and both kids had their own “levels” on the house which they loved.
Morning coffee on the porch was perfect.
It was what I needed!!

Explore Rangeley
Alpine Loon Lodge is a great alternative to a hotel. The house has everything you need for a great vacation. The lake front access is wonderful and relaxing. The sunsets from the deck are breathtaking. At night the sky is filled with an unbelievable amount of stars. We kayaked down the Kennebego River and saw a bald eagle. We saw many deer. We took a drive at dusk towards Eustis and came upon a moose in the middle of the road. Mostly we had a great vacation. One word of warning, do not wear socks walking down the basement stairs. We had one guest fall all the way down the stairs. The stairs are very slippery and the step tread is much shorter than a normal step.

Wonderfully spacious house...plenty of parking...beautiful views from the living room and large deck, especially the sunsets...very comfortable beds...nicely equipped...pretty woodsy decorative touches.
We'd definitely stay at Alpine Loon Lodge again !! Wishlist for our next stay would be a comfortable living room chair (the couch is comfy though)...more lighting for the kitchen peninsula...although the glass wall of windows is spectacular, some sort of sun shade/drape would be a nice addition (mid-day sun can be blinding)...and a DVD player (but, DirectTV is key).
Don't let our wishlist deter you from booking this wonderful vacation home (it was comfortably cool when we stayed in late-Spring; and, the heaters kept us very warm in late October. And, most importantly, the Morton & Furbish staff is outstandingly helpful and extremely knowledgeable.
