Inmejorable ubicacion, frente a la plaza donde salen los buses y ferry para los distintos paseos. Salida a la plaza del Duomo, estas en el centro de Amalfi. Tiene "solo" 27 escalones para llegar a la recepcion, y luego tiene ascensor. No es un tema menor en la costa Amalfitana El desayuno era bueno, el personal del desayuno un poco brusco, mucho ruido de vajilla mientras desayunabamos, era realmente molesto. La habitacion comoda y el baño amplio.

El personal de la noche no me presto mucha ayuda cuando mi marido estuvo descompuesto

Loved the small town of Amalfi.

Location (0ur room) overlooked the main square. View was great, could be a bit noisy in the evening and early morning with deliveries. It was a very good value done money and breakfast was good.

It can’t be helped, but the steps up from the street are challenging especially with luggage.

Hotel Fontana was a great place to stay in Amalfi.

The employees at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The balcony in the room had a great view of the duomo square. There were lots of great selections at the breakfast buffet. One of their employees carried our suitcases up all the stairs when we checked in, and did it again for us when we checked out.

It was a bit noisy at night, but that's to be expected since it's located in the main square of Amalfi.

I loved Amalfi. The hotel was decent.

Liked the location. Breakfast was ok.

Didn’t like that there’s no elevator to bring up the heavy luggages.

Was a great stay

Great spot, great hotel and lovely people. I read comments about the staff and the beds but we slept better here than anywhere else and the staff were incredibly helpful. Definitely recommend it

The best location for a stay in amalfi coast, staff were very family oriented and friendly, balcony rooms make the stay so much more enjoyable, would recommend

Perfect location at epicentre of Amalfi. Our room had balcony overlooking water and main intersection. Staff friendly.

Long weekend away.

The location is just perfect!

The breakfast room and the reception are one big room. This wasn’t an issue because it was low season but I can imagine in high season, you have breakfast between arriving and leaving guests.

The location, very central, so close to restaurants, the main square and the sea.

In the room there was a smell of detergents so strong that I could not sleep the whole night, as I had trouble breathing. During the night I called the reception asking to change the room, but they answered there was none available, even if there were room keys hanging at the reception keys-holder. Also, the windows are not completely sound-proof, so you hear the noises from the street.

great hotel, great location to the beach and harbour....

based right next to the ferry terminal which is the best access to Amalfi as the roads are quite poor and narrow, ferry from Salerno was 9 Euro each and 20-25 minutes. The Hotel is based above the seaside shops and has no disabled access, lots of steps I'm afraid....the room was very spacious and a balcony facing the sea / harbour, which was superb, especially when we got to see a amazing storm the day before we left!....great breakfast, proper English Tea!, some English speaking TV channels, fridge in the room, nearby supermarket for snacks etc....lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby, not too expensive either....

no visible disabled access, but everything else was great, great room and friendly staff, good breakfast choice too. If the weather is bad you can be stranded with crowded buses though as ferries are the usual access to Amalfi.
