Terrible experience will not be back.

Rooms are dirty outdated and even though I stated I needed a quiet room I was given an old room that borders the entire hotels aircon systems. Why they have built 5 rooms here I don't know. They were booked up completely so couldn't get me a new room that night,. I asked for a new room the next day after no sleep and was told I'd have one when I got back from my conference. When u got back they said they forgot and the hotel was booked up fully again.

Not going to stay in a Mercure again! Lip service for the disabled.

Location

Booked an accessible room. But shower not accessible over a bath!!!!!!! Moved to another room that had a walk in shower but very small for a wheelchair and up on first floor where fire doors caused an issue.

Breakfast was good fair amount of selection

Of our 2 rooms one had a bedside table and chair missing. the shower in the other room did not drain away. The staff were unable to get someone to rectify the shower drain so the 2nd day it was worse. Neither rooms had a safety mat in the shower that was long enough, as a result I fell in the shower.

Good hotel with friendly and helpful staff

Staff were very friendly and helpful and as we have stayed here before we k ew the location was perfect for my daughters gym competition

Thought breakfast offering was ok but fresh fruit selection very limited and scrambled eggs not light and fluffy - quite stodgy and congealed.

Very dirty hotel, poor staff attitude and very overpriced

The beds were comfortable and the location was quiet

It’s was extremely dirty - blood stains on the bathroom door and mould on the window sills. My son also got a lot of bites after being in the bed. When reported to staff they were not interested at all

An average stay.

Staff all seemed very helpful and pleasant.

Room could have been a lot cleaner, two chairs in the room were really unclean, cups were also mucky, everything just looked like it needed a deep clean.

Overall great felt let down over breakfast would not pay that amount to eat there if I were to stay in the future

Arriving for breakfast and most items had finished and being told by staff “it was because it was almost 11” I had paid £47.85 for breakfast arrived with 30 minutes spare to eat it and was disappointed with that response

The staff were friendly and accommodating

The floor in bedroom was wet, could hear the boiler or something very loudly throughout the night, the lift wasn’t working and there were no sanitary bags and only one toilet roll on the room

Comfortable relaxing stay shame it was brief overnight

Enjoyed the use of the swimming pool which was a perfect temperature. The sports areas were clean and tidy except the ladies changing rooms. The breakfast was lovely lots of choice. Staff friendly and really helpful. Lots of onsite parking cost £10 worth it hassle free parking.

The ladies changing rooms were very messy and generally grubby but it was very end of day. The hotel was very busy and seemed to be more to do with the volume of users last thing. The hot tub/ jacuzzi chemicals were too strong burning nostrils and mouth breathing became hard just sitting on it for a short while we got out as had others before us so they possibly found it to be the same.

Good for a night if on business. Don’t expect too much from this Mercure. Staff are lovely though!

Location, facilities, staff were great!

The place is super dated, needed a good vacuum and spruce up. The floors were a mess!! Sink in my room didn’t drain and shower drenched the floor. Most of the urinal toilets in the reception bar area were blocked and full.

Comfortable stay in a well designed and welcoming hotel.

It was close to the station. The room was a good size. The room was well designed, with plenty of sockets and lights. The bathroom was a good size with a great shower. The evening meal was very good and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great to have use of the swimming pool.

The view on to a busy road and car park wasn’t great. The shower door wasn’t big enough, so the powerful shower sprayed water all over the bathroom floor.

Good hotel in central Telford

Staff very friendly. Reception, dinner team and breakfast. Great breakfast. Large comfortable bed. Swimming poola bonus.

Dinner was just ok but not as good as it might sound. Options for walking out to a restaurant - zero. Best if you have a car - I didn't. No rarest buses at Telford Central train station.

Staff very nice and helpful Breakfast was good well cooked and tasty, was enough for me but there is little options for veg/vegans and feel cereals needs improving Great location to the shopping centre which is across the main road, a few mins walk away Down side is parking is expensive, guests should be discounted £10 per day is alot when theres is evening free parking off site Room was too hot though did have aircon and a electric plug in fan Cleaning could be improved from general use Good quality of toiletries Hair dryer, iron with ioning board and kettle in the room was provided

The receptionist was welcoming, polite and helpful

The room wasn't well lit at all. There were no complimentary bottled water. The welcome note in the room stated breakfast at weekends is from 7pm. We went down at 7:45am to have breakfast first before getting ourselves ready for a burial we came for. After paying & shown where to get the toast & drinks, there was no hot food. After enquiries we were told breakfast starts at 8am. We could not wait so went back to our room to get ready for the burial & checked out on an empty stomach. Rather very disappointing.

GOOD LOCATION FOR WORK AND LEISURE

Breakfast service was great, Luiza was very gently during the 2 days there. Bar also pretty ok.

It was cold, all over the Hotel, in the room too, heating plug off after 21:30 and in the morning starts too late. Room and area very cold.

Breakfast, dinner and bar area were great, as were Christmas decorations.

Pleasant evening in Telford with a nice bed nearby

Clean room and comfortable bed Good breakfast

We couldn’t control room temperature in some rooms and not possible to adjust air conditioning. It was too cold when I stayed.
