The house was spotless. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The pool/spa/slide/grotto and entire backyard were amazing, entire group loved it. The large front room was great for gathering a big group. The location was secluded which is exactly what we wanted. We would absolutely stay there again. The only negative (which is notated on the listing) is that the 6th bedroom is really just a shared room with the Master bedroom, but we made it work and it was a great time. Check in and communication with the host was very easy.

We had a wonderful stay. The house and property are extremely well laid out, as is the pool. There is ample seating areas on the pool deck and the grotto is super fun. Communication with the host was easy and immediate. Thanks and we hope to return!

Six friends from college met here for a short reunion. House served its purpose. It was nice and quiet and we enjoyed the pool.

This was the second year we stayed at the house for our annual girls weekend away. Everything was so easy from completing the paperwork, checking in and communication with the host was excellent. Simple text to turn on the hot tub and the water slide and any other questions was seamless. Our group loves the spaciousness of the house and backyard. The pool was perfect temperature and it made lounging around all day catching up with our friends so fun & relaxing for our long weekend. Everything in the listing was there at the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked the house for next year!!!

Amazing pool and property! Definitely recommend.

This is the second time we stayed at this property and it was as amazing just like the first time. The pool, grotto, slide and hot tub were enjoyed by all. We spent many of our days there just sitting by the pool and enjoying the peacefulness of the property. My family and I cant wait to go back again next year.
2.0 / 5.0
The property was beautiful especially the back yard pool, slide and hot tub. That is the reason we booked this house. Is to hang out in the pool and let our grandkids enjoy. However the hot tubs could only be turn on for 3 hours without having to pay extra. It was absolutely ridiculous. I had to text when I wanted it on. So so disappointing to have to plan when we wanted to play. I have never been to a vrbo that I was so upset at. We had a wedding to go to that lasted until 9:30 pm. We wanted to come back to the house and enjoy the hot tubs, but we couldn't because they had already been turned on for the day. The water on the slide could only be on for an hour. My grandkids were very very upset. We had talked about our get away and that pool and waterslide for months. Imagine how upset they were! I don't know why the owners cant have a switch for the waterslide and hot tub and put them on a timer so they will go off if people forget or if people want to play then they can. We were all just very very upset. Not a great get away!!

The property was beautiful. Everything yoiu would need was provided. It was off the beaten path so very quiet and woodsy. Our group of 9 were high school buddies (50 years ago) having our yearly golf trip. Several golf courses within 15 min and after a round of golf in the warm weather, the pool was a life safer. Everyone staying there said the accomodations were beyond their expectations.

We had the best time! Our host was easy to get ahold of and very attentive. Can’t wait to stay here again for our next celebration or milestone birthday.

Used this for a Golf trip with some friends and the accommodations were amazing. Host was responsive and exceeded my expectations.
Highly recommend.

- Our landlord was VERY inconsiderate, making us wait at the gate in the rain for 20-30 minutes, despite knowing we were there. I had initially submitted a waiver for 12 people but needed to update it for 8 after some people had to drop out. She demanded a resubmission with the exact count before letting us in. In a rush, I altered the document in the car, only for her to then insist on a handwritten signature instead of a digital one. Scrambling to find a pen and redo the document added to the frustration.
- She was ridiculously stingy about the hot tub usage. Both days, we were shorted on time. The first day, she claimed it was heated, but it was cold after an hour. Only after another complaint did she start it again, yet counted the unusable time against us, leaving us just 2 hours of heat. The next day, cold water started shooting into the tub after 2 hours, and by the time she fixed it, we had moved on.
- The property listing falsely advertised a heated pool, which was, in fact, unheated.
- The front door lock was broken, and her property manager couldn't fix it, forcing us to use the back entrance.
- Also, one of the "bedrooms" is actually a bed inside a walk in closet. Very creepy/weird setup

Place was super clean. And Laralyn was amazingly accommodating. Could not be happier. My extended family was amazed and wanted to rent this place in the future.

Stayed over for one night with friends and family. All our guests loved the large space to connect. The little ones loved the space to run around as well. There was a basketball hoop, bowling ball + pins, and tetherball for the kids to enjoy. The large living room was perfect for everyone to come together after the day was over!

The communication was really good. We had plenty of space for all of us to stay. The hot tub provided so much relaxation and despite the weather we could utilize the internal one due to the grotto. There were a few little things we might suggest, but overall the home, privacy, communication etc. we are all amazing.

As for the property itself, there’s nothing to really complain about. It’s fantastic.
However, the rules which limit use of the hot tubs to only one hot tub in a three hour block (of your choosing) per day meant it couldn’t be enjoyed at numerous times we would have liked.
Additionally, requiring us to pay for my parents as registered guests just so they could stop by for an hour was draconian and over the top.
So like the review is titled, it’s an amazing property that unfortunately can’t be fully enjoyed due to the rules. If you don’t plan on anyone stopping by, or you are ok with limiting your use of the hot tub to one hot tub for a 3 hour block per day, then you’ll probably be happy staying here.

This is by far our favorite VRBO. Plenty of room for the whole family to get together. The property managers were amazing and it was the perfect getaway for some family fun. Peaceful and beautiful. Plenty do near by if you ever want to leave. Most of us just stayed on the property the wildlife was so much fun to watch. A perfect getaway and so worth it. 5 stars plus. ❤️

We were a group of 11 senior women and we had an amazing time. The house and surroundings are relaxing and peaceful. I will note for the senior age persons there are no ADA modifications in restrooms and the pool however there is a way to enter the home with no stairs. Its hard to tell in the photos but there are 2 bedrooms and full hall bath on one side of the house, master with bath and 1 bedroom with hall 1/2 bath on the other and 1 bedroom at the entry. Perfect for large groups. Laralyn was a wonderful host she always responded to me within 15 minutes and resolved any issues (which were minor) quickly. Being a first time vacation rental person she patiently answered all my questions. I recommend this vacation home. Oh and they provide alot of amenities which is extremely appreciated.

The house is lovely! The property is beautiful! The pool is pristine. We loved every minute of our time together there!
The AC went out in the middle of a heat wave and the property owner moved heaven and earth and actually found someone to come a fix it!

We stayed four nights for a three-generation family vacation in July. It would be spacious for a group of 10-12, or cozy but possible for up to 16. Four rooms have queen/king beds. Kids can also sleep on a double bed in the master closet, 3 twins and a double in the bunk room, or the sectional sofas and a pullout twin in the living room.
The property is secluded and very quiet. There is a two-story building at the front of the property that houses a "caretaker". That upstairs window can look into the front yard of this home. This looked intrusive at first. However, once we entered the house we never used the front yard at all, so it didn't matter.
There is one drawback that we considered serious: All communication is done via text with the owner, who either turns on equipment remotely, or contacts the caretaker. This communication was extremely cumbersome because the owner was three time zones away and often had no cell service. We waited an hour to check in and lost 3+ hours of waterslide or hot tub use over our stay because the owner wasn't responding. If this system is revised, we'd gladly give the property 5 stars, but as is, our rating is 4 stars.

Excellent choice for a gathering of brothers & sisters ranging in ages from 73 to 82.
Our big family of eight brothers & sisters have been holding annual get-togethers for the past 10+ years.
This June 2023 experience was an excellent experience -- quiet, secluded and a single level floor plan which made it convenient for the older family members who have difficulty climbing stairs.
The pool & hot tubs are added bonuses.
A wise choice for our group.
The description of a gated community may be a misnomer, but don't let it cloud your selection.

The grandkids just wanted a place to swim. The slide was the eye catcher and it did not disappoint. The backyard was large and just like the photos. Nice fire pit on the deck also. The house was very clean and comfortable and accommodated all of us (10). Laralyn always responded immediately whenever we needed her assistance. Great stay!

Brought the ladies in our family to Auburn for a little retreat and relaxation. This home was EXACTLY what we needed! The home was well appointed- they had thought of everything to make our store enjoyable. The outdoor area was to die for! The pool and hot tub were amazing. It was so quiet there and we felt so far away from anything- even tho’ it’s only 5 minutes from town. The host, Laralyn, was so attentive to us and responded promptly anytime we needed her. A great place to stay for families, or a group trip. Lots of beds and bedrooms- and so quiet! An absolutely excellent place to stay! 😊
5.0 / 5.0
We had 11 ladies (40 years old +) for a sober retreat celebration. We paid extra for everyone to have their own beds set up, which was worth it. We hired a local aesthetician to come for facials & we held yoga & a sound bath outdoors by the pool. We will be back!
POSITIVES:
House was immaculate, save for dirty oven that smoked when we used it & left over food in pantry from last guest
Kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything you need to cook & clean
Pool was clean & there was plenty of outdoor seating
Bed were very comfortable
Grounds were peaceful & neighbor noise was very minimal
Host was very responsive to requests & questions via text
BBQ grill was great & had a propane tank.
Lots of towels & all toiletries in the shower
LESS THAN IDEAL:
Bring your own baggies, foil & Tupperware
You have to text the owner when you want the hot tub(s) on - only one can be warm at a time, & also if you want the waterfall/water slide on. The hot tubs can only run 3 hours a day & the slide can only run one hour at a time. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: the check in material states a $40/hr fee for running the pump beyond 3 hours a day. It felt a little like asking mom permission to use the facilities. The logic behind conserving power made sense, but for us, we found it unappealing. If you want propane tanks for outdoor heaters, it is $40 per tank.
No fault of the property, but mosquitoes were abundant and hungry. The host provided bug spray.
Owner comes daily & cameras

A group of us were in the area for a wedding a decided to make it a mini vacation. Hanging out at this property was fantastic! Then house is perfectly equipped and the outdoor space is excellent for a group. Great communication and super host!

Was perfect for the family stay during a wedding. Plenty of beds and space for everyone. The kids especially loved the pool! The owner was amazing; super reachable and accommodating.

We were looking for a rental for a large group of family members attending a wedding near Grass Valley. There weren't too many options available, so we were delighted to find this property by looking a bit further out. It easily accommodated our group of 13, with lots of room to spread out, play games, watch a Warriors playoff game, or relax with a book on the porch by the firepit. The weather was cold and rainy much of our weekend, so we didn't spend much time in the pool, but really appreciated the hot tub every evening (after the kids had gone to bed).
Host was very responsive to questions prior to and during our trip. House and property are absolutely beautiful, and close to grocery store to restock food.

Overall this was a great place to spend our Christmas holiday with a large group. The open floorplan is excellent for a large group and is very inviting. Kitchen is well stocked for any cooking that needs to be done and all appliances were in good working order including the washer and dryer. There were some issues with the front gate but they were quickly addressed. The backyard pool area is simply amazing. Plenty of space to hang out with propane heaters for the chilly times. The pool is ridiculous with two hot tubs (one in a little indoor grotto) and a great water slide. Although it was December we paid to have the pool heated each day and it was worth it for the kiddos. I only have two significant issues with the property. First, most of the dishes were too dirty to use right out of the cabinet. I am not sure if it is a dishwasher issues or something else, but it was consistent throughout our stay when pulled a dish that we had not personally washed. Secondly, we were not aware that the rental only included three hours of hot tub heating a day and only one of the two hot tubs at a time. While I am not sure knowing that ahead of time would have caused us to look elsewhere, it would have been nice to know that up front. We were already spending quite a bit for a four day stay and they extra we spent to heat the pool and one of the hot tubs was a bit much. Additionally, you do not have direct control over when you can turn the tubs on and off but have to contact the property manager. Even with that issue, the property manager was quick to respond to any question or issue we had during the stay and the staff that provided support were also excellent. I definitely recommend this property to anyone with a large group. The backyard alone is draw that would keep us coming back.

My family has stayed in a LOT of vacation rentals, and this was, by far, the best one yet! 11 close family members came up for a family reunion and to hold a Celebration of Life ceremony for my mom, who recently passed. As one can imagine, it was a sensitive time for us all. We couldn't have been happier with this gorgeous vacation home and all of its incredible amenities. It is a large, spacious home, beautifully decorated, with so much space for a large group, on a breathtaking piece of property. The kitchen was fully stocked for gourmet cooking, and the bedrooms all felt private with luxury beds and bedding! While the home is very large, it still felt cozy with the warm fireplace, beautiful views, and comfortable nooks throughout. The outdoor space was amazing! The whole family had a blast on the waterslide and in the pool. The hot tub was such a treat during the cold nights, and the outdoor space feels like you are at a resort...massive with a ton of seating areas and a beautiful veranda. The absolute best part of this rental, though, was our host, Laralyn. We probably had more requests than their usual guests, due to the reason for our vacation. Laralyn was so incredibly accommodating, attentive, communicative, and kind. We felt so well taken care of, and, truly pampered! Thank you so much, Laralyn, for a weekend my family and I will never forget. We have already decided we would love to come back this summer! Best house ever. Highly recommend! I'd give it 11 stars if I could!

My family had a great stay celebrating my mom’s 90th birthday. The house, property and pool were beautiful. Prior to selecting this house, I read the reviews and the rules, and although there were a lot of rules, I thought they were pretty fair and reasonable. However, now that I’ve asked for a fair and reasonable refund or credit for the additional guests fee since the 3 additional guests weren’t able to attend, the property owner has stopped communicating with me.
Another issue was that the dishwasher was not working properly. Upon my family’s arrival, the dishwasher was running and full of dirty dishes from the previous guests. When the dishwashing cycle was completed, they discovered the dishes were still dirty and that the dishwasher was not working properly. They had to rewash those dishes by hand and then hand wash all their dishes during their stay.
The pool was beautiful and would have been used a lot more but it was a bit cold for adult swimming. Although, the temperature was reading 75-78, it felt much cooler.
All in all, the property was beautiful and my family enjoyed the weekend celebrating my mom.

This place is a wonderful retreat for family reunions or guys/girls trip. It is very peaceful up in the hills but close enough to get to stores and whatnot if you need to. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Resort Oasis
My group had a great time staying at this property. The house was spacious and allowed everyone to have room to relax and unwind. The real draw of this property is the outdoor space. My group enjoyed the patio and pool area the most. I would highly recommend this property to couples with teens or large mixed age families. The property offers something for everyone. I would definitely stay at this property again.
