This 6-bedroom (5 with full ensuites) is surrounded by a wall to keep your pets safe. This exquisite escape is perfect for groups of couples on a weekend getaway or attending a local wedding. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful the house is unique in character and charm. The rooms are excellently appointed and the kitchen is well-equipped. The large pool and deckside amenities (note: the pool is closed from November through May). Excellent barbecue facilities with both a regular propane barbecue and a top-of-the-line Traeger smoker. You will find a full bath in the pool house to add to your relaxation.

The property is beautiful. A lot of oak trees and even had ripe grapes. We happened to book this house the same weekend that Placerville has their,”Girls Night Out.” They closed off Main St., had a band playing and a lot of sales. So that was nice. The house itself is very roomie, had enough room for all 14 of us. The pool and hot tub was wonderful. The kitchen had enough room for several of us to work at the same time. There were a couple of mattresses in the closets, which came in handy since 2 more came. I would rent this house again, we were so pleased.

My friends/family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. It has everything we needed and tons of space. Even though there was 10 of us, it didn't feel like we were on top of each other. We will definitely be back!

The House was beautiful, of course and so much living space in the house. Majority of bedrooms with bathroom was awesome. Loved the pool and outdoor sitting area as well. Highly recommending all my friends and family about this house.

We had 20 friends and family aging from 6 to 75 join together to celebrate my 70th and my besties 75th birthday. We do this every five years. Fork and Cork catered a sit-down 4 course dinner at Hidden Garden for us and it was amazing food and excellent service. We did some wine tasting, sat in the hot tub, walked the trails on the 8 acre property and played games. And our dogs had a great weekend!

We rented this house for my daughter’s 50th Birthday. We are very familiar with the area, and love the wineries that are so close. The house was perfect, with the nice bedrooms, most that included an attached bathroom. The house will be a conversation piece for many years. It is not the ordinary house, and we loved the spaciousness of it, and everyone had their own space! We made use of the beautiful pool, and hot tub..which was a nice bonus! Matthew is a great host, and was very responsive to our needs. All and all a perfect weekend in Amador!

Really beautiful property and house. Probably the best kitchen of any similar vacation rental I've stayed in: spacious and well-stocked with pots/pans/utensils as well as ingredients. Owner was very helpful and communicative throughout our stay.

We had a great time at this home. The pool was the big attraction that all four generations enjoyed multiple times each day. The kitchen is spacious and the dining tables are arranged so we could all eat in the same room. There are several nook areas to sit and read in. We had a very relaxing trip.

The hidden garden accommodated our large family and was comfortable. There are specific items that need attention. 1. Safety - both the front entrance and side by the kitchen have an uneven tile ledge that we tripped on constantly, one person fell to the floor! 2 - disrepair, house needs work like roof stain where leaking and kitchen cabinets taped off, & much more. 3- outside area very dirty with weeds, dirty furniture and floor, pool umbrella falling apart. These items were unacceptable for our family. We had to clean up a lot outside to use it.

Our family group of 12 had a wonderful time! The beds were comfy and the A/C kept the house cool. The kitchen was well-stocked. We all LOVED spending afternoons in the pool. Communication with Matthew was prompt and easy. 5 of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms which is great! Guests in one of the upstairs queen bedrooms have to go downstairs to use the half bath during the night or have to enter the other upstairs queen bedroom to use their en-suite bathroom. Good info to know especially for couples traveling together. The property is very large and private and we enjoyed strolling around under the canopy of trees.

This place was a great place to hang with friends. Spacious accommodations and well appointed kitchen. The rain tried to dampen our good time but after being wet and cold coming home to a comfortable sit by the fireplace was ideal. Thank you so much to the owner for letting us in early to set up for our group! We can’t wait to do it all again next year sans rain!

We were looking for a nice place for a weekend gathering for 9 including 4 couples. We are all of the age that we appreciate comfort, so the 5 roomy ensuite bedrooms was perfect, and a rare find in this area. The house has a definite character, but the on line photos show its features well, so there were no surprises. The kitchen is very well equipped including a really big refrigerator and freezer, and 2 nice big modern ovens, plus 2 microwaves! We didn't do a lot of cooking, but did have a catered dinner one night, so the kitchen was a big plus. The house was very clean and well provisioned, and Mathew had even prepared the fire places -- all of them! We only used one, but that was a very nice touch. How a host responds to problems is always a good test. We only had one small supply issue, but Mathew took care of it immediately The location turned out to be perfect for some wine tasting outings, and the grounds spacious and forested. Overall a perfect spot for our 3-day weekend. Thanks, Mathew.

We are four college-era friends/couples who have been getting together from different parts of the Bay Area for many years. This was the best place ever! Each couple had a lovely room with private bathroom; the kitchen is well-equipped and large enough for several people to be working at the same time. The pool area is lovely. And we loved the peaceful, quiet getaway feel.

This house was perfect for my annual girls wine trip to the area. Tons of room for everyone to find a comfortable space. The huge refrigerator is amazing to bring in platters of prepared food. The addition of the outdoor furniture and fire table to the front patio was great. We also used the pool and hot tub and they were wonderful! We will definitely be back!

Our stay was perfect! Matthew was an amazing host, always stayed in contact with us and responded very quickly. The house was beautiful and very spacious for our very large family. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. We came for our son's wedding, and we couldn't have asked for an amazing spectacular weekend. The house was clean, had all amenities, the rooms were over the top large, an individual bathroom for everyone. It was so relaxing by the pool and spa, and BBQing was fabulous as we ate on the very spacious patio. Our grandkids had the best time swimming and enjoying the grounds. This beautiful home and the extremely gracious host Matthew were perfect!! We look forward to returning for our vacations with our big family. Thank you, Matthew, for making our trip for our sons wedding the best memories we could ask for. Ciao.

Based on another person's recommendation, we booked our birthday celebration stay with Matthew/Hidden Garden and we had a wonderful stay. The property (inside & out) was maintained, clean, and easy access to all Amador has to offer. Matthew was timely communicative with any and all questions. I highly recommend staying at Hidden Garden or other properties offered by Matthew.

I originally planned on booking this for my husband’s birthday but decided to also book it for my older brother since their birthday is only two days apart. It was eight couples and we all had such a wonderful time here. The place was huge and we had a lot of privacy. So many friends want to book this home after seeing my pictures and videos. I have nothing but but only good things to say about this place. The house was also the most equip home I ever stayed in. I brought extra supplies like toilet paper, shampoo, pots, and pan and I didn’t even need it. Matthew was also very responsive. We all love our stay here. It was an enjoyable weekend.
