Neighborhood is peaceful with a nice walking path nearby.

While the house and amenities are pretty basic, it is in a nice quiet neighborhood near dog walking trails. The place could have been a little cleaner. Not sure if we would stay here again without dogs, but it works for the fur babies.

We enjoyed our stay & had a lot of fun! The kitchen could use new pots & pans. They' were a little worn & burned some of our food. There wasn't a blender, which we needed. The mattress on the bottom bunk was very uncomfortable & squeaky, didn't use it the 2nd night. However; we would use this place again!

Fees were too high to be clearing/shoveling 6-8 inches of snow upon arrival.

Great Weekend Getaway
We loved the black dog theme of the cabin! Found everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Location is great for getting to everything McCall has to offer. We explored Ponderosa State Park and had dinner at The Mill. We enjoyed the games and DVDs while at the cabin. Quiet little street for that away from it all feeling. We enjoyed our stay!

Spacious quiet cabin
Lovely setting. Very spacious.
Open carton of soup in the cupboard. Huge cobwebs and dusty in the living room. Dirty floor in the bathroom.

Weekend with Family
Great place for teens and dogs. Roomy enough for all. For a place that can accommodate 8, there certainly could have been more garbage bags and toilet paper - but we managed.

Not thrilled, felt ripped off. Review was censored.......
Lights did not work in different areas. Should have been fixed. cooking dishes were dirty. Very old and dented pans to cook with. For the price we paid you would think there would be something better to use. Lock on side door was not working properly, had to use the other door often. Snow should have been shoveled prior to anyone staying there. The path to the front door was not shoveled. Ice was built up about 2 inches thick on the side door porch. Could not tell where the steps were there and stepped off the porch into a big hole. Lucky I didn't break my leg. Could have been a lawsuit if I did.. Ice in icemaker tasted dirty. I have stayed in much better homes/cabins for less money. We went with the cabin because of the price per night.... was cheaper than the motels in town. Was not happy that once booked the total was almost doubled... Why do I have to pay for housekeeping? I don't pay that at hotels even if they have kitchens. I had to pay at least 50% more for cleaning than I pay for my 2500 sq ft home to be cleaned. I will never rent this house again or go through VRBO which to me is a rip off. it was over double to book the place than I saw on other sites. All this add ons the owners should be paying... not the renters.

Felt like Home
It was so easy to settle into this home—it’s spacious with comfortable couches, beds and dining table. It was mid-Fall in McCall, so we were grateful for the gas fireplace, plus there’s adjustable heat in each room. We’d gladly stay here again.

Awesome stay at Black Dog Inn
Very comfortable and relaxing stay! Centrally located to our activities, nice quiet neighborhood.
Minor fix on our part was to replace the coax cable from the cable box to the tv to allow for tv use.
Lived the decor and name of the inn as we are owners/breeders of black labs. Did not know the name of the inn until after booking. Very happy with our stay.

Great dog friendly, family friendly house!
We had a wonderful long weekend at the Black Dog Cabin. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The location was a short 2 minutes drive from downtown McCall and it was on a quiet street. The fenced in yard was nice to have for the dogs even though you had to walk a few feet to get to the fenced area. We would stay here again!

Great cabin for families
Overall, we really liked this property. The beds are very comfortable (super important) -- and there was ample space for our five family members, including an elderly parent. Very nice that it has two bathrooms too. Kitchen is nice and big with dining space. With climate changing and temps rising in the mountains in summer, there's a need for AC or more fans. Sleeping at night was often hot, even with windows open. Overall, a nice place.

Spring weekend with family
We stayed in McCall to visit my brother and his family that live there. The large kitchen and kitchen table were perfect at accommodating our group for meal times.

Kitchen features
You will need to bring your own kitchen tools and any plastic wrap or foil. Sorely lacking in spatulas and basic items. That said, we have stayed there 3 times.

Fantastic location, near Brundage Mt for easy ski and recreation. We stayed in February, and were taken aback by the literal mountains of snow in the front and back yard (therefore not usable). The house was very clean and functional. The only cons are the cookware (very old, scratched), unreliable wi-fi, and the TV situation. The cable reception was very fuzzy and since it was too old to be a smart TV there were limited options.

McCall getaway
The small, dog friendly cottage in McCall has a nice location in a clean neighborhood and close to town. The house is very roomy with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and comfortable living room. Even though there were just 2 of us, we enjoyed the ability to spread out. We also brought our boat, and there was plenty of room to park our truck and boat in the driveway. We were able to keep our bikes and paddleboards in the backyard which is fenced. We would recommend this house to anyone who wants to enjoy McCall, Idaho.

Just ok
The Cabin was ok except that the sink would not drain tried to have them com on Friday with no response, called Saturday morning and had to follow up Saturday afternoon and finally someone came to fix the sink. Apparently they lost the service repair ticket, The maintenance guy was great.
We had to buy toilet paper as they left 2 rolls for 3 days for 3 people also only left two dishwasher pods to bad they are in fear of thief’s I guess but really was inconvenient for us. Location was great and hiking trails a short distance which was a bonus.

It’s in a nice neighborhood and walking distance from many places to eat. The fenced in yard was very secure and perfect for our dogs. This house was perfect for our stay in McCall.
