Mejor pagar un poco más e ir a un sitio normal.

La ubicación

Obviamente a menor precio que el resto de sitios de la zona no puedes esperar mucho, pero hay cosas básicas. - calor infernal, habitación y baños sin ventilación (solo una ventana que da al pasillo dando cero intimidad, encima no cerraba osea que es como si la habitación estuviera abierta siempre) - colchones viejísimos que notas los muelles en la espalda - muy sucio y descuidado - baño sin jabón y la puerta no cerraba - el día de irnos, a las 6am mientras aún teníamos cosas en la habitación, el dueño nos exigió ya las llaves, entró sin permiso y se puso a apagar ventiladores y luces como si las hubiéramos olvidado encendidas cuando estábamos entrando y saliendo para cargar el coche, fue bastante desagradable.

Básico y económico.

Es bastante céntrico, cerca de la playa, económico. Ideal para solo llegar a descansar con lo esencial sin buscar lujos.

Hubiera preferido una cama normal en vez de litera. La cortina no cubre toda la ventana por lo que se tiende a ver desde afuera si la luz del cuarto esta encendida.

La ubicación y la atención en la recepción.

La habitación estaba un poco estrecha, pero estaba bien para lo que requeríamos, en realidad estabamos solo de paso por una noche, así que estuvo bien. La falta de parqueo también es un punto menos, no indicaron que había vigilancia durante la noche, pero nos enteramos que el encargado de eso se puso a dormir en una colchoneta portón adentro. Por dicha no pasó nada pero muy mal que ofrezcan algo que luego no dan.

Superb

The room was clean 👌 and excellent for staying, the beach is just some meters away , and the local market is near, so you can do your groceries 😀 if you want. We enjoyed it so much!

Is only for emergencies

What I liked it was the security, because we went out at night, then we arrived at 3 am and there were a guard opening the door.

It was not clean. Bathroom was not clean.

The rooms are too hot. Everything is unsterilized the beds are not mede well. The AC cost more than the night

Poor planning of hostel staff making it difficult to enjoy the stay

There is not much we liked actually. It is a cheap hostel with loads of issues. They solved them eventually, although very slowly. In the end we got recompensation of 10 dollars, which is definitely nice, but would be better to improve the planning so future visitors do not need to face these issues, which are generally easily solvable.

Dirty kitchen. I get it, travellers can be very dirty but if you dont put any effort into cleaning common areas, it will get disgusting. It already is. The hostel offers free water, but there was none for the whole afternoon. The owner was always saying that they are coming with new one...it took 2 more hours. Poor planning, all the hostels we have visited before had always so many barrels ready, here they had maximum of 2 or like this case, 0. Last morning there was no gas. Would be cool to have spare one ready, but of course there was none, so no proper breakfast. The hostel did not have running water for 2 days. Okay, that can happen, but so far all hostels that faced such issues had huge barrel filled with water in the bathroom for such situations. This hostel does not have that. At least we got a bucket of water after complaining, so we could at least flush the toilet. How nice!

If you're just looking for a sleeping place, this is great!

It was private and the bed was comfortable. Easy accessible from town and safe at night. There were even extra pillows, towels and soap. There is also a closet if needed.

The kitchen is not clean or equipped to be used by guests. The appliances need to be replaced and things like the fridge should be left on when guests things are in there (like yogurt and milk).

Passable

The private Room was okay! There is free Coffee and Water available. It's close to the beach.

They start to clean at 7-7:30am and listening to loud music during that process. That's not respectful at all!!! And it was very noisy in general. So not a good place for people with a light sleep! And there is only one toilet for a huge dorm ( spent one night in the dorm ).

Cheap stay

Great location. Just 5 min walk to the beach. Also all restaurants for lunch and dinner were nearby. Really affordable for low budget trips.

Air conditioning for 10$ per night is way too expensive.

Relaxed and pleasurable. Exactly what I wanted.

It was a one minute walk from the beach which I could see from the balcony. It was clean, quiet and relaxed

Location location . And the staff is exceptional. Keep in mind in its Nicaragua so benchmark is different

Hot as hell cause as there is no airflow. And pictures are not comparable to the actual place.

Excellent location in San Juan del Sur. Everything in walking distance; restaurants, cafes, bars and the beach. Hostel that provides rooms with a/c and private baths.

No hot water, but the water at natural temperature felt great since the humidity of this hot tropical paradise.

Exceptional

My stay at this location was great. I missed my flight and arrived a day later. The management accommodated my reservation to the new dates. The room is simple but was clean and had everything I needed. The beach is a few steps from the location. I was very pleased with Hostal Brisas y Olas. I will definitely use this location in the future 👍

I liked everything at this location.
