Beautiful location with sea view. Clean and comfortable for one night stay.

Calm location. Nice pubs nearby (car needed).
Owner a bit grumpy. Maybe she was a little bit overburdened by too many people in the kitchen in the morning. Nevertheless, would recommend to be more friendly in front of guests. Made some people feel uncomfortable. Due to limited space at breakfast, we had to sit on the same table as another couple which was not so nice as I don`t like to do conversation with strangers especially not in the morning. Bathroom was separated from bedroom and could not be locked from inside.

The location was beautiful. The porridge was amazing.
I was traveling with my family. There were 6 of us traveling for weeks. I booked a night here for a stop over based on the amenities. There was to be a fridge and grill available per the listing. Upon check-in at 16:00 there was no one there to greet us. I sent a message to the host about needing a fridge for our food. After waiting some time, we decided to just find the grill and cook the food so it didn't spoil. The grill was full of bugs, spiders and filth. There were no tools available to clean the grill so we also gave up on this plan. When sitting in the common sitting room, my daughter spotted a fridge in the back area. She checked for signs indicating the fridge was not to be used and then proceeded to put our items in the fridge. We then went to a local restaurant for dinner. After dinner we all returned to the room and got ready for bed. At 22:30 Beatrice cornered me in the hallway in my pajamas to berate me for a solid 10 minutes about how I should never have used that fridge. How dare I walk around her home? She was hostile and scolded me as if I were her child. Repeating how deeply offended she was that I was searching for a fridge and a grill to use in her home. As if anyone was there to assist us with questions upon arrival. She insisted that I should have waited for her arrival home from work for assistance. She insisted that her response to my message (4.5 hours later) was acceptable. I took a deep breath and told myself to go to bed and tomorrow morning would be better. We all have bad days right? Maybe she was going to stew on how she overreacted, berated me, and didn't allow me to get a word in to explain.. Breakfast was served with a heaping helping of hostility. We sat in awe while she made our group of 6 very uncomfortable. I would never step foot in this place again. Beatrice is an awful, agressive, mean woman. She needs to be in charge of a prison, not a BnB.

We had a lovely stay at the Plough! Our room looked out at the sea and we were just a 10 minute walk from the beach. Our room was cosy and the breakfast was delicious. Beatrice was so helpful and welcoming and even got us a taxi into Dingle which was no mean feat as we stayed during a very busy time.

We had booked for 3 nights. We arrived at about 6:30 pm as we got lost. When we arrived we found an envelope for us with a key and room number - no directions and the hallway in total darkness. We had to call out to the hosts in the kitchen twice before they responded and came to direct us to our room. The hostess informed us that she had the sniffles and had “tested negative”; she was not wearing a mask. She then asked us to make sure we sanitized as per regulations. The room (King Room) was very disappointing in decor and feel and the tiny ensuite bathroom had no shelving for toiletries or hooks to hang towels.
The next morning my husband (an RN) was awakened by the hostess’s constant coughing [both wet and dry coughs] and decided we were not going to stay and risk getting ill during our travels. When my husband , wearing his mask, went to advise her of this he found her in the kitchen coughing and cooking breakfast but not wearing a mask. Needless to say, we did not eat breakfast there. She advised us that we could leave but she would charge us another night’s fee in keeping with their policy. We were OK with paying for the night that we had stayed, but did not agree that we should pay anything further as they had not had the courtesy to advise us beforehand of the Illness and giving us the option of cancelling and finding another booking. This seems to be a clear indication of how they value their customers well-being and how they run their business. Although Booking.com did try to help us she still charged us for a second night.
In full disclosure we had initially contacted Booking.com about our disappointment in the room but determined we would stay the full time so we would not lose money; however, this was prior to the food and coughing concerns the next morning.

It was raining when we got here but the property did look nice, Beatrice did also accommodate a late arrival for us because of a flat on our car.
The house was super dated, felt like I was visiting my grandma for the weekend. Beatrice, the owner, was helpful on the phone but we weren’t impressed when we met her in person - the whole stay would have been exponentially better had she not even said hello.
