The property is very spread out and meticulously maintained. It is a gorgeous retreat right in the heart of Nairobi. There are numerous restaurants throughout the resort that have incredible food and service. We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommend for either a work trip or as a family trip.
The property and service was incredible.

Beautiful gardens. Some lovely staff - pool, porters, gardeners, breakfast team. Bedrooms spacious. Nyama Choma restaurant very good and entertainment excellent.
Went here a few years ago. Since then it seems very run down. Within the first 24 hours our toilet broke twice and our safe failed. One of the front desk staff was very abrupt. The Chinese restaurant was filthy-lights covered in dust, carpets threadbare and table coverings grubby. There was no background music in Chinese restaurant as the ‘speaker broke’. They told us this 4 years ago! There was no fans or air conditioning in the bedrooms which got very hot. Bar drinks were the most expensive we’ve paid in Nairobi.

It's huge and green, the resort is massive. The service is good and people are genuine.
It's kind of worn down and tired at certain places. The hotel needs a revamp. The inhouse restaurants are good but they need an upgrade.

A safari feel on the edge of the kenyan capital.
Great/safe location, beautiful grounds, selection of restaurants, amazing staff.

The hotel is beautifully located in a huge garden with lots of exotic tall trees. It feels like you are staying in the jungle. The hotel can be reached easily from the airport in half an hour. It is centrally located so you can get to almost every place within Nairobi within a short period of time. The compound is heavily guarded so that you feel safe all the time. Employees are very helpful and friendly. You even get a welcome drink upon arrival. The breakfast was really nice with lots of choices of hot and cold meals. The hotel has 4 restaurants on the premise which offers a lot of dinner choices.
The rooms are dark and a little bit run down (although everything is clean). For example, the bathrooms seem to be 20 or more years old, although everything functions well. The price is high. I paid 45 Dollars for a dinner at the African Grill Restaurant, which feels overpriced even for European standards.

was quiet and peaceful, no real crowds at this time of year. close to the Safari National park which is what we came for.
food was cold sometimes, or wrong order completely. overpriced, cleaners often walked into the room without knocking. facilities such as using the gym is an additional charge. unable to bring food or drink from the outside in so you’re stuck with what they have to offer

enormous room, gym and hotel grounds are all nice
the pool -which is supposedly the centerpiece of the hotel was not available due to maintenance, something which the hotel “forgot” to mention when we booked. The bed was uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel and staff, however when we checked in were given a room without balcony it had a damp feeling and fridge not on and no mini bar in fridge. We advised the room was not acceptable and after some time and discussion we were moved to a room that was lovely. The problem was this was all around midnight after a long flight and I believe should not have happened, this is only complaint. All the food was amazing and breakfast drinks were delightful as was breakfast. Evening entertainment was wonderful as was the food and spa was a lovely treat.

The food was great, visited both the nyaga coma and cafe kigwa restaurants and the food was great at both. The safari cats show at the nyaga choma restaurant was the highlight of my stay.
The rooms are way too dated for my liking. They could do with a much needed refresh

The crew is very helpful, the room is good, and the view is excellent
worst swimming pool I have ever seen , and food and drinks are too much expensive

wonderful facilities and restaurants. Magnificent garden and pool settings.
in this day and age and in a city like Nairobi, there is no excuse for such poor internet.

Everything is commercialize. Extra payment of $10 per day to use gym facilities. You have to buy expensive drinks to sit near the pool area or to see cat dance. Food is expensive inside the hotel.

Amazing swimming pool area, staff and choice of restaurants. The Japanese restaurant had fantastic food. Beautiful gardens. Great traditional dancing entertainment in the evening from 9pm. Will definitely come back - also for a day visit.
Considering the price, breakfast should have been included. Also the mattress were quite hard and the beds and pillows were not the most comfortable. For the price, better quality would be better.

The grounds are amazing and gorgeous.
The rooms were dirty. The facilities including the gym, rooms very outdated, looks like a 1960’s classic that’s not suitable for the current times. I had to move 3 different times as the rooms had some equipment not working; the 1st room 808 was dirty with a fly dead in the curtains, room 559 fan wasn’t working, 904 the room’s fan was too noisy. the security guy i encountered was very rude. $200 per night for the place was way over priced. I wouldn’t stay there again even if it’s for free. The manager on duty was diligent to try to fix my complaints, but she couldn’t fix outdated facilities; thanks for the free breakfast which should have come with the price take of $200…

Beautiful garden and rooms
Breakfast offer was limited, especially for the price you pay
Room service was either slow or would forgot the order

The grounds were beautiful!
We were quoted 600 KES per person for breakfast and charged 3200 KES per person. The price of a simple continental breakfast seem very high compared to already high restaurant prices.

Very nice hotel + friendly staff! The wifi fast + effective when connected. The rooms are neat + clean and there are a few options for dining. I will most certainly stay there again.
The wifi is not available everywhere. The gym equipment is okay, but not great. There is no clear distinction between meal/breakfast plans when booking, so I accidentally booked a room without breakfast included and the breakfast is quite expensive if having to pay each morning.

Room service was perfect, though abit late!
On 2 occasions, someone tried opening the door from outside!
When I went to check, they said that from their end, the room appeared unoccupied!
