Great food, very good room with facilities
Breakfast was served from 08.45 to 9.30. I fed back to the staff that that was way too late for a midweek stay as we had to leave at 8.30. To be fair the manager arranged cereal for my son in the morning, but it wasn't the hearty breakfast I wanted to send him off with (or paid for)!

The location
There was no one on duty overnight in the property and an alarm went off both nights and sounded continuously from 12.30 am to after 7am. There were 3 emergency numbers listed to call in the event of a problem which we did on numerous occasions throughout the night and nobody answered

I didn’t get to experience the property as I was not able to check in
That I was allowed to say that I could check in between 9-10 on the booking form and then the confirmation said I couldn’t check in after 9pm so I was left without a place to stay and 110punds out of pocket - I need a refund

The only good thing about this place is the view from the garden.
The whole building was dirty, the bath was blocked which caused the muck from the drain the come back up and you had to paddle in it while you showered. The carpet in our room smelt of urine and a strong air freshener had been left in the room to try and block the smell. Breakfast is served between 9am and 9.30am but service is really slow so if you are planning a full day out you need to skip breakfast. The dining room was absolutely filthy with all the food and muck still left on the floor from the previous night. The bed wasn’t even re made.

Great location with spectacular views across to Corfe Castle from the garden. Easy reach of the coast with fabulous walking available from the doorstep. Room was spacious with a comfy bed and excellent en-suite. Breakfast was excellent with locally sourced food (the Dorset Black Pudding was outstanding!). Staff were all helpful and polite. They are a very young team eager to do their best. Fish and chips and the goats cheese salad were huge, well cooked and very satisfying!
Tv was a little on the small side and past its best. Hot water could be warmer for having a bath.

Friendly staff , great location , comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was lovely and hot if you have a cooked one.
The shower took a while to get warm and I like a hot shower ,so for me not ideal but I’ve had far worse .

We were told Breakfast would be served at 9.30 as we awoke at 7am that was a long wait and we decided to just go

The food was poor ,over priced and dry, for mid week no fish either, small choices.

The breakfast was excellent. I had scrambled egg with a very generous portion of smoked salmon.

Views and peace and quiet and loads of space in rooms
Bar shuts at 930pm and food stops at 8pm.i can understand why with staffing but think this should be clear on booking

Large spacious room, comfy bed, generous tasty breakfast, beautiful location
It was a shame that the last orders at the pub was quite early, but if you are after a quiet stay then that is blessing!

in a nice village with a great view from the garden. Friendly staff

location! is perfect! the pub is idyllic.staff very helpful. food amazing!!
bathroom window was not lockable, could be cleaned a bit more some cobwebs.pillows were very very soft.

Convenient location in the Isle of Purbeck with easy access to most attractions. The countryside views from the property, with Corfe Castle in the distance. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning, good coffee. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Towels in the bathroom changed daily. Tea and coffee making facilities complete with biscuits and bottled water.
The standard menu was exteremely limited and unimaginative. We tokk our meals elsewhere on most occasions, Although the room was clean and spacious, the windows had not been cleaned in a very long time - and the cobwebs around the wall light fittings were well established. Intermittent hot water in the bathroom wash basin.
The staff wer friendly, but were overworked during the busy Easter period. Not always fully attentive.
Access to the car park in dire need of repair.

Great location, friendly welcome, comfortable room, decent pub food and excellent breakfast.
Room rate a bit pricy for what was essentially a pub stay.
3.5
Clean and comfortable bed - own sitting room a bonus, great location friendly staff.
Best pub view in Dorset for a good breakfast, which was included. Quirky and historical multi bar areas
Decoratively the room needed attention with some 'amateur' decorating probably done and ceiling paper peeling off. broken chair - which was notified. Food menu a bit dull but accept this was off season...
Sold as 'room with garden view' not really appropriate as too many outbuildings in the way to see the fantastic view!
