Location
Lack of parking.
Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom felt clean, other rooms felt like they needed a dust

The view was wonderful, the reception rooms beautifully furnished and spacious, the kitchen well-equipped. Lovely local walks, very homely. Good selection of books and DVDs.
The stairs were ominous for our elderly relatives, especially in the night, which was difficult with only a downstairs toilet. The conservatory was cold, as was the whole house on arrival. It would have been good to have some additonal blankets for the beds as we hit a cold spell

We were deeply disappointed that on arrival the cottage was very cold - it felt extremely inhospitable to arrive at a cold cottage. Warmth is one of the first things that helps people feel welcome and helps them relax. Logs were not included in the price so we brought our own but the fire did not throw out a lot of heat in the way a woodburner does. We were cold in bed on the first night and had to put towels over the duvet - there were no spare blankets in the main room; we discovered extra blankets the following day in the second bedroom. It felt like the heating had not been on in the cottage for a very long time and so it only really started to feel warm on our second day.
We didn't appreciate the enormous cobweb at the side of the wardrobe in the main bedroom.

Was on a very busy road but it is where it is & didn't detract from from our enjoyment..garden & views were amazing

Quirkiness of the property, the garden and views, so quite even tho opposite a pub.
Toilet took a long time to fill. Apart from that nothing.

Characterful yet equipped with everything one would need for self-catering. Amazing views. Sunny conservatory. Located next to good pub. Excellent selection of books for adults and kids. Clear and detailed information provided by owner.
Not much. If I was being very fussy I would say that one of the sets of stairs is a little steep and parking in the designated parking space requires a little precision. It’s also a short drive to the nearest shops.

The view from the garden was absolutely stunning. the place was well equipped, the beds were very comfy, the old reading room was very pet friendly. The pub across the road was pet friendly and served great food.

slightly uncomfortable sofa but heck, you’re not in it much!

Wonderful location with unparalleled views.
Instructions on how to use the TV needed to be more detailed. We couldn't get it to change channels.

I stayed at the old reading rooms cottage for my birthday, it was a fantastic treat, we loved everything about it. My dogs loved exploring the garden and the views were fantastic, we have already booked up to stay next year.
Maybe a couple of draught dogs for the doors in the sitting room, being a very old property .

The cottage was just what we wanted and we had everything we needed in the cottage to make our stay excellent.
The location was exactly what we had thought it would be.
There was nothing to dislike.

Fantastic views and location next door to the pub and easy access to walking routes

Great location, lovely old stone cottage, great facilities, interesting art on the walls and a home from home.
View was to die for, simply loved the outlook and the deck to enjoy it.
Only minor and very minor was the constant flow of lorries to the quarry, but you soon got used to them. Also Satellite didnt work but a fix was tried very quickly by owners, but fast Wifi , so simply streamed to the TV.

Amazing garden and views

Great to be near the pub and restaurant. Fantastic views.
Steep wooden steps from second bedroom- maybe worth carpeting.
Not an issue for us, but where parked did have elderly neighbours [not the attached neighouring house but modern house further up] complain as they found it more difficult to see if the road clear when exiting their drive.

Great location for a wedding at Kingston courtyard. Lovely cottage. We had a great stay. Fantastic garden.
The smaller double bed was too soft and caused rolling into the middle. The radiator that came on directly next to that bed down the side could be dangerously hot at times.
Some cooking oil would have been helpful.

Epic view and location. The most incredible stay I've had. The cottage is very interesting and full of charm. Really well kept and unlike anything I have experienced before.
The location is outstanding. Picturesque and breathtaking. Photos don't do it justice.
Well kept and welcoming.
Next door pub was friendly and a nice class of punters.
We went to Corfe castle- charming buildings and gift shops. Fed baby starlings from our cafe table.
Went to Swange- more epic views of cliffs and clean beach- very 'unbusy' on both a Sunday and a Monday. Somehow plenty of parking all along the seafront! Loads of shops within the parallel high street- gift shops, too.
Really loved it.
The oven door is broken. We had no warning so had to ditch the cooking the night we tried.
TV had no channels so couldn't watch tv, including the England game. As I'm disabled I really needed to rest and recharge batteries so no TV really affected our stay.

The cottage was just so cosy and had everything you needed that you felt at home! The view was amazing and the sunsets!! We were lucky enough to have the weather so we got to enjoy the garden as much as possible. We didn’t want to leave! We will be back & I’ve already recommended to friends & family.
There’s nothing we didn’t like in regards to the property but the one thing that I found slightly Disappointing was how the cleaner in the morning, shouted quite rudely across the street about getting into the property with us only being approx 10mins late to check out.
