The private pool for the villa was the only value for the property.
Room service was prompt and the staff was outstanding.
The room was generally dirty. There were scuff marks on the bathtub, sink, fridge, walls etc. on our 2nd day we asked the room to be made up and they left the only dirty cup at the pool. They left a green cleaning cloth that was stinking in the bathroom on the sink. The western choice for breakfast was horrible. The local food was ok. There was a charge for my son who didn’t use an extra bed but when I made the reservation it was mentioned that there was 2adults and 1child and NO mention of extra charges!! We were made to pay for the breakfast even if he didn’t want it. There isn’t a children menu. This resort is not child friendly at all. The bathtub tap wasn’t working. We had to use the outdoor shower. The drainage was extremely poor. We used the massage services and it was not worth it at all.

1. Location - in the Lagoi Resort. Walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurant, bar. However far distance to other attractions outside of the resort.
2. Smooth check in and out even with the small lobby area
3. Nice and helpful staff
4. GREAT PRIVATE POOL next to the bed. Can’t stop dipping in the pool especially after back from hot touring day.
5. Whole villa is spacious with separate living, dining, kitchen area. The open outdoor shower is so refreshing. Cleanliness and well maintained even the pool.
6. Included daily preordered breakfast that is served inside our villa

The villa was spacious and clean. There was a good variety of breakfast options to choose from and the staffs were also friendly and are able to communicate well in English. The location was near a beach area that was quiet and nice to walk around.
Additionally, there were a few drivers available in the villa. It was convenient for us to get around and the driver we had was kind enough to wait for us while we went on with our activities.
The air conditioner unit in the bedroom was probably not well-maintained or old and personally, find the unit too small to cool the bedroom. At 16 degC, it was unable to cool the whole bedroom and there was no extra ceiling fan to help circulate the cold air around.
The dining area had a ceiling fan that was fixed way too high and too small to even feel any wind at all and that was the only cooling equipment throughout the whole open area.
There are quite a lot of bugs/insects throughout our stay especially during the night time in the dining area. We understand that it is unavoidable in nature but it would be best if they could install bug nets above the open areas to help prevent some bugs from flying in.

Breakfast was pretty good, delivered right to your room. Private swimming pool was really nice. The staff was very communicative via WhatsApp and responded very promptly at all hours. The villa provided wifi was very fast with good connectivity which made up for the abysmal cellular reception (not the hotel's fault). Close proximity to the ferry terminal. Walking distance to a couple of nice restaurants/cafes along the beach.
The villa was OK, kitchen and living was not fully enclosed which is fine, but the rain wets all the non enclosed areas even though the roof covered most of it. No place to sit in the unenclosed area if it rains because everything gets wet. The shopping center opposite the villa was completely empty due to covid, no shops at all, but that's not the hotel's fault.

Cozy, private, quiet. The villa design provided half outdoor terrace and swimming pool, which our kid loved.
Water in the private pool was too cold. Amenities in the bathroom were very limited (shampoo and soap only). TV programs were not available. Not many eatery choices.

Very resort style with an excellent pool within the villa that my daughter likes taking a dip every morning. We also have our personal guide cum driver, Mr. Wisra who had make our getting around less hectic and more enjoyable. Thank you Wisra!
No TV in the living area.

Staff were very helpful and tried their best to fulfill our requirement.
Living area was not airconditioned and ceiling fan was too far up and cannot really help during humid and warm weather.

I like the villa that I have booked. Rooms are spacious, private pool by ourselves. Service by the front desk and room service are great, staff are friendly and helpful. In house massage services are great too.
Cleanliness of the room need to keep up. Breakfast was not as expected good, may consider to improve in term of choices, taste and portion. Not much of activities can do as the only place, business at Plaza Lagoi is not recover yet.

i booked 3 rooms but my room is the only that suddenly jump out of electricity in midnight. i felt super hot at about 3am so i wake up and check what’s happening. me and my friend walk until the reception to have someone to check for us. Luckily the electricity back as usual after the staff press on something

Value for money - villa, location, food, staff and available activities. Hoping the shopping center will reopen, it will be perfect!

The resort, villa room and everything else is good. We love the privacy it provides and the little pool with jacuzzi. It felt exclusive. In-room massage is really great!
The food taste can really be better…. Presentation was fantastic though.

Quietness, literally not hearing any of our neighbours unless in the open area, and not to forget, the huge bathroom and comfortable bed. Nice and laid-back environment to stay away from city-life.
I feel that service staffs need to engage more.
Concierge: Not providing the right information regarding the closure of the mall and nearby activities - was limited, hence, one of our objectives was missed. The request for early check-in (2 months ahead) was rejected at the presence and waited for two hours in the lobby. My baggage was also placed outside the room, while the rest of the other customers were taken inside the room.
Room: I booked a 2A2C with an additional bed, then the room was arranged with only two dining chairs, and every morning's breakfast missed out on a set,
Private Pool: The private pool and as well as the public pool, the last step from the bottom is slightly high to reach back to surface. Okay, maybe I did not grow long legs and has no strong arms.
So, let's just say... it is recovering from the Pandemic. Hope to see improvement on my next visit. :)

Ambience is good.
Pool-water not so clean. Infected with ants. Insufficient cutlery and kettle too small. Many lizards and other pests around. Breakfast is poor with limited selections and is served cold (hot food items). Smelly bathroom caused by drainage system.

A great place if you’re looking for a quiet getaway from the bustling tourists. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed ourselves. The staff were impeccable and we throughly enjoyed our stay there. The food was great for our palette and just a tip, order the Indonesian dishes instead of the regular American breakfasts, after all you’re in Indonesia. Will definitely return!

The private pool was clean and fantastic. The room within the villa was great with direct access to pool. Bathtub was great. Food was surprisingly ok even if lacking in variety. We really enjoyed the satay, beehoon, fried rice, etc. Usually the serve the food very fast. Price is just right - not too cheap and not too expensive. We ordered a tonne of stuff from in room dining and generally enjoyed it. This is important info becauwe there is nothing else nearby. If the food here was unbearable, you are going to starve.
The toilet could have been better maintained. We saw stains when we checked in and had to request to change rooms. The other room wasn't much different so ended up biting the bullet on the toilet. Generally the facility needs some TLC. Inroom dining menu is very limited. The tea and coffee were so bad. The instant coffee is better than the coffee in the inroom dining menu. There is also no grabfood yet in bintan. There are no good shops nearby also, except for one food court, which is very average.
The biggest problem for us during the stay were bats. It is nightmarish situation almost renders the area in your villa that is outside the room pretty much unusable. In the evening and night time there are bats constantly flying over your head inside the villa. It is not one stray bat either. One morning we saw about 10 bats in the villa. Scary stuff. In the morning they usually go away but the entire villa is filled with bat poop, making the space unusable. When they clean the room, they do a good job of cleaning the bat poop. But until then, you gotta find alternative options to sit in the living space. We were constantly watching out for bats or bat poop when outside the room. I am adding a photo of the bat situation to make people better prepared for what to expect. Viewer discretion advised. If you are ok to manage this and ok with limited (but generally good) food, then this place is great for the swimming pool and generally nice room, staff.

If you want to relax and just chill, this is the hotel for you. The place is quiet and relaxing. The villa is clean and tidy. The staff and the receptionists were very nice and accommodating. It’s very near to Lagoi beach and plaza. I walked around alone and it was safe. There are also a mini mart and restaurants around the hotel. It’s very near to the ferry terminal too! You don’t need to worry about hiring a private taxi for pick up from the terminal and drop off because the hotel will arrange for you for free! And oh boy, the breakfast they served me was 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼.
I couldn’t lock one of the doors and there’s no cable TV service 😭

Spacious villas, private pool, dining area, powerful rainshower, tasty breakfasts (the hotel always gives us a savory/sweet extra side dish we didn't order), super friendly and helpful staff. Much privacy for guests. Lots of greenery in the resort. Great location, just two mins from Lagoi Bay Beach.
The toilet bowl was way too tall 😅

The staff were very friendly and always tried their best to assist us. 10/10 for the staff.
Breakfast was not up to standard, and there was bat droppings on the floor every morning. We had to ask them to clean it up for us every time, but the staff was very pleasant about it. Pool water was definitely too cold to swim in but that could also be due to the rain. There was no hot water in one of the rooms and the light in the shower area was not working. The hotel and it's concept was very aesthetically pleasing but not well maintained.

I like everything about Kamuela! This is my 3rd visit for honeymoon and they even decorate our room for newlywed couple 🥰🥰
