Fabulous hospitality, our host couldn’t be more helpful with arranging tours and travel. Yummy Sri Lankan breakfast and a lovely clean room

On a cool rainy night, the top floor apartment with the jacuzzi was simply amazing. And we learned a lot about the region from the caretaker.

The food was lovely. However, the food was cold when serving. Sri Lankan curries could be improved. there was no difference between a vegetable and a meat curry it was all with saffron and the same colour and similar taste.
In room no 02. The top of the bedside cupboards was not cleaned and was stained with drinks and was sticky. Also, the hair dryer was broken and falling into pieces. The bed linen was old and stained.

Nalaka was friendly and tried his best.
Our room had a horrid, strong smell of damp. After moving the curtains we could see damp/mould in the window area. All grouting in bathroom was black with mould. The smell was horrid and damp. We was moved to the suite upstairs (which although it did not smell of damp, it is in definite need of a revamp - especially the seating area near the jacuzzi, the cushions were stained) but was told that we could not use its bathroom nor toilet and had to use the damp ridden rooms bathroom. Me and my mum were trying to find alternative accommodation at 23:30 but unfortunately we could not find a driver to take us there. We even tried to book accommodation across the road but they were closed. This experience was so traumatic especially considering I was in a different country. We had high hopes for this hotel and was the last of hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka, it’s sad that we left this amazing country on this experience.

It felt like a home away from home, great place very different in a good way from other hotels in Sri Lanka
Everything was perfect! The room was amazing with attention to detail However, the bed was very uncomfortable it looked like a hand built bed (wood as the slates) having two people on the larger side it felt like it was going to break.

It is deep inside the country side with British looks. Weather is very pleasant.

Location was great. Cottage was beautiful. Nalaka our host was very polite and helpful. I was in the attic, which was very self sufficient with games, jacuzzi as well as books and television. It was a great way to unwind and relax.
Dinner options were the same on both days and was confined to Sri Lankan menu only.

Note.. manager who was in charge( Nalaka if not mistaken) he was amazing guy and vry friendly.

The bed was super comfortable! And the location was very, very quiet. Very relaxing.
Room seems in need of a fresh paint job.

The room was very well decorated and organized.
Its in a very isolated location. Beautiful but cold (temperature), yet there was no heating and the water was not very hot, to have a shower. There isn’t a decent place to have dinner, (if you don’t want spicy food). There is a place across the road (restaurant and pub) which was the worst place, it had no guests yet the food and service, was horrendous. The whole experience was unpleasant.

Th location was absolutely stunning - little England is a gated community in the hills looking down on Nuwara Eliya. It is like being in the Cotswolds and even has a pub/restaurant within the complex so you do not have to go in to town for dinner if you do not want to.
The property management was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay and made plenty of suggestions for activities and called around to confirm timings and prices for us. He also gave us the history of the property and Little England which was really interesting. As we were on honeymoon they set up a beautiful flower arrangement in the room and made it really magical!
Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful with the option of having a full English or Sri Lankan breakfast.
It was a really unique stay and well worth a visit!
Typically we were there on one of the only hot days of the year so it got pretty warm at night. As it is not normally hot in this area there is no AC in the room.

Comfy bed.
Amazing staff - incredibly helpful, warm and accommodating
Lovely Sri Lankan food
Although the room was probably once very nicely decorated, the decor is now quite tired and worn. The bathroom in particular would benefit from being redecorated and from better ventilation.
The location itself is slightly strange. It's in a gated estate apparently designed to look like somewhere affluent in England, which won't be to everyone's taste.
Worth noting that there is no bar or alcohol served by the hotel.

Located in a British style upscale very small village, old style house, like taken from another place. Very welcoming staff! I was there with my daughter, we had one night over there during our tour in the hill country in Sri Lanka.
in the morning they went out to collect fresh flowers and made a bouquet for her, it was lovely!
The room itself is not big and looks old, like the furniture etc. Also there is no good ventilation in the bathroom so there is some mold on the walls, the staff did ask us to keep the window open so humidity can flow out.

beautiful room and a wonderful host. Our host was on the property and we felt as if he was our own butler. He was there in the morning to greet us and serve us our breakfast . He was delightful and was ever so helpful. The room was very spacious and it does have a British cottage type of appeal . I grew up in a cottage in the north of England and it reminds me of that.
Unfortunately , it was misty and showers most of the time we were there so we did not get to enjoy the property. Also it was a long way from town so you will need a car.

Kent Cottage certainly exceeded our expectations! From check in to check out, the staff made sure our stay was the best we ever had. They were flexible to meet all our requirements, arranged meals according to our convenient times, and the food was heavenly! Thanks Appu for the amazing food! The room was just a dream come true for me: the VERY cozy beds, and the very elegant bathroom - didn't make me want to leave that place. The interior designing of the entire cottage was out of this world. Nalaka was very kind enough to take us on a tour around Little England scheme, to the neighboring vegetable farms and the tea estates. Would highly recommend this to anyone - very worth it for the price we paid. Kudos to Nalaka and the team managing the place and for the beautiful bouquet of flowers you gave me when leaving. Looking forward to visiting the place again.

I had the pleasure of staying at Kent cottage, Little England and I must say it was a truly unforgettable experience. The accommodation was cozy and picturesque, with spacious rooms and a beautiful surrounding environment. The staff, led by Mr. Nalaka, were warm and friendly, consistently going above and beyond to ensure that all guests were comfortable and satisfied. The food was also exceptional, adding to the overall enjoyment of our stay. A special thank you goes to Mr. Nalaka for ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. It is clear that the team's dedication to providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for their guests is a top priority. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Absolute vaue for money! Excellent host.
The place was beautiful, Nalaka was an exceptional host and I'd highly recommend staying here just for his service and hospitality. The area around is pretty and convenient for nearby attractions. The food was delicious and Nalaka was accommodating of a customized menu/request.
A tiny criticism is that the shower could have better draining or some way to prevent it spilling into the rest of the bathroom, making the floor wet.
