Cool little place that was perfect for our family. Kids (11 and 9) enjoyed the animals. The inside was very nice and clean with quality furniture. Beautiful property and location was convenient for anything we wanted to do. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly.

Tammy and Steve have a beautiful hobby farm with several horses, cattle and chickens. The guest house which is attached to the horse stables is beautifully furnished, well maintained and quiet! Their location made driving to nearby parks and restaurants a breeze, yet far enough away to enjoy their peaceful surroundings.
By the way the fresh eggs are delicious!!

Waking up to horses and cows and beautiful pasture every morning was wonderful. The home was fully stocked with supplies and even had a washer and dryer, full fridge, and toaster oven that wasn’t pictured. Hosts were great with any help or info needed. We had a great time and it was very close to all the surrounding towns for adventures.

My family loved this place. The hosts are present but give guests freedom to roam the property. Clean, quiet and fun.

For a first time trip to Door County we could not resist this place! From the actual building to the beautiful animals and wildlife everything was amazing. Tammy and her family were wonderful to talk to about the area hotspots and let us see all the animals. Would highly recommend for anyone going to the area or just a get away! We will definitely be back to stay!

We chose this as a last minute get away. We love animals and thought it would be a unique setting. The listing describes it perfectly. The family is so kind and gracious. We interacted with the dogs, cats, chickens and horses and visited with the family while they cared for the farm. It was welcoming and warm. We chose to engage and learn about the farm. We explored every part of Door County from this location. The apartment is very private and comfortable. I highly recommend! Thank you for an amazing get away - the fresh eggs were a treat. Tell Chief we’ll miss him! We visited his stall each evening.

First of all the family owners were exceptional. They greated us with open arms and really invited us to take time with the horses. My wife was side by side with feeding time. And if your worried about staying in a stable house, don't! It is fixed up very nicely, with some of the best furniture I have had in a VRBO unit. And you can't hear any noise, it was pretty sound proof. I sat outside for about 3 hours just watching the cattle, chickens and horses and just relaxed. We also went to thier bar they own in Sturgeon Bay and threw some Axes. It was great. Thank you again for a great get away.

The grounds were incredible, the lodging was as advertised and previously reviewed: clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
The hosts, Tammy and Steve, were so welcoming and friendly. They allowed us to spend time with all the animals and offered so many great suggestions about what to do in the area.
We will undoubtedly making a return visit to this outstanding spot.

This was our 2nd time staying in the cozy space and our kids loved it. They loved feeding the horses and chickens and spending time hanging out with the cats. Property is beautiful and in a great location. Nice and quiet retreat.

What an exceptionally special place! We were utterly blown away by the gorgeous property and the farm experience was magical for our whole family. The entire stay was warm and welcoming. We felt right at home right away. Every detail is attended to in perfection. An absolute family favorite. We cannot wait to return! We are so grateful for our time here and for the opportunity to meet and spend time with (and learn from) our extraordinary hosts. Extraordinary place and experience, start to finish. Just outstanding!

This was the coolest experience! My little kids are 3 and 5 and it gave us a first hand look at farm life- it was so fun to see the beautiful horses!! The host family is VERY nice! They answered so many questions. We are coming back in the winter! Excited to become a regular here!!

This was a truly unique experience: a working stable with an attached apartment, with windows looking directly into the stable! Got to meet the horses and cows and give them treats. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Property is expansive and secluded, but close to many nearby attractions. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and attractive. Might just mention it is probably best suited to morning people, as being a working stable there is activity that starts early in the morning. Luckily, we are very sound sleepers, and found any disturbance minimal. All in all, thoroughly enjoyable, and highly recommended!

I can not say enough good things about our stay. The whole experience was wonderful! The location is very peaceful with gorgeous scenery. The hosts (and family) were fantastic!
The horses are what drew us to this property and we were not disappointed. My kids were able to greet and treat the horses, mini-horses, and cows each day. Also, the hosts‘ 23 year old daughter (who is great with kids) let my kids help with feedings and some chores.
The apartment was clean with plenty of seating room. Though it didn’t have a full kitchen, it did have a Keurig, a regular coffee maker, an air fryer/toaster oven, microwave, a griddle, and an under the counter fridge, in addition to dishes, cups, and utensils. Would love to return if we make it back to Door County!

Unique stay that exceeded all our expectations. The cleanliness, attention to detail and thoughtfulness throughout the entire property is amazing.
Super quiet throughout the night.
Awesome family effort!
Horses, mini-horses, cows, chickens and family pets all made appearances. Super friendly.
Great location - far enough to be private, close enough to get to attractions.

WOW - this incredible Door County weekend, spent celebrating my girlfriend's 40th Birthday, was made the most special because we chose this amazing place! The sprawling acres, the horses and farm animals, the rolling quiet land, the beautifully appointed Stable Living Quarters, all make for the perfect place to relax and unwind in just one place . . . or as a base for traveling around Door County, with everything being a scenic 30min drive or less. The family that runs and owns the estate are fantastic, warm, and thoughtful! They're more than happy to take you on a tour of the property, meet the animals, and suggest fun things to see/do. Steve, Tammy, and Madeline are the consummate hosts! Don't hesitate to make this property your next vacation destination. We're already planning our return!

We went here over spring break for a long weekend. The draw was the animals for our 12 year-old, and we weren't disappointed. There are many horses, chickens, cows, and 4 cats. The hosts were friendly, and their 23 year-old daughter took our daughter around to feed and pet the animals twice a day (she is wonderful with kids!). Cats and chickens were available all day if we wanted to feed or pet them.
The apartment next to the barn is a very large room with a king (?) and 2 twins. You will need to be able to sleep through noise in the morning, as the kitchenette is in the same room with the beds, and there are faint sounds from the barn on the other side of the wall. We always bring earplugs and white noise--it was quieter than your typical motel anyway. The kitchen area has a Keurig, 12 cup coffee maker, dishes, a microwave, a very large mini-fridge, and an electric griddle (for cooking fresh eggs--yum!). Downtown Sturgeon Bay is 15 minutes away, including a Walmart and grocery store on the way.
We highly recommend this place for its cleanliness, the easygoing and friendly hosts, and the animal experience close to some fun spots in Door County. If we return, we would definitely stay here again.

We spent two nights at this property. The house was clean and well set-up for our family of four. It is not big, but it never felt small. The location is great - we hiked at Whitefish Dunes State Park (10 minutes drive) and it was easy to get around the Door County peninsula. By far the best parts were getting to know the hosts and being involved with the animals. They have several horses and other animals that come into the barn at night and out again in the morning. We were able to help with the animals and got to feed them treats. My kids (13 & 10) loved this part. Overall a very fun getaway and we hope to stay again.

Everything from booking though our stay was amazing!!! The owner, Tammy, was responsive to messages and welcomed us upon arrival. This is a large studio with sleeping for up to four and a kitchenette that allows for you to prepare your own meals. Dining in Door County can be a little pricey so it is a great option. Tammy is familiar with local options for dining if you want to eat out too. Tammy and her family we very welcoming and allowed for our ten year old who is a "horse girl" to help with chores. The young lady who was taking care of the animals allowed Maya to shadow her and be a part of the process. To top it off, there was a side room with kitties that became Maya's best friends! Seriously, tv with satellite and a stereo if you need it, full bath with shower and the kitchenette. All the amenities you will need. Book now!! You will be glad you did. The perfect home base for visiting DC with a streak of ranch to go with it. We will definitely book again :)

We felt like we were staying with old friends upon our arrival. The entire family was welcoming and friendly throughout our lovely stay. It was a unique setting and memorable stay. We enjoyed meeting all the animals 1:1 when they were brought in the first evening and enjoyed a nice fire in the firepit the next night where all the animals seemed to gather around and listen to our classic rock songs on the Bose speaker. Beautiful location and a new area of Door County that we hadn't explored before. Thank you for a memorable anniversary stay.

Steve & Tammy communicate well and their farm is incredible. Steve and his daughter Maddie gave us many great recommendations for activities and meals!
Lots of fun on the farm. Their animals are well cared for, well mannered, and friendly!
We loved every second. My husband, myself, and my son have already booked a stay here again next year. It’s perfection!

We had such an amazing time! Was a unique experience. Especially loved meeting the animals, grilling & eating by the fire under the stars. The room was clean & had wonderful temperature control. Would highly recommend this place!

Absolutely loved this efficiency VRBO. Wonder owners, who made the whole process easy and were so friendly! The room was so comfy and cozy, so clean and so comfortable! We loved the location - a beautiful equestrian property in rural Wisconsin, yet close enough to everything to be convenient. They even accommodated us by changing our dates after a family emergency came up. I would definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for a unique, family friendly place to stay in Door County- this is the spot! We LOVED our stay! Our son is 2.5 years old and was obsessed with all of the animals and they were all so friendly towards him. Tammy welcomed us on our first day and provided great recommendations on where to eat and what to see. Madeline and Steve were great with allowing us to be a part of the morning and nightly routines with the animals. Everything was very cleanly and they provided us with everything we needed for our trip. We cannot wait to book another stay with them!

My family, including 3-year old and 18-month-old boys, stayed in the studio attached to the stables. Our boys had the best time seeing the animals. Tammy and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable- helping the boys feed the horses, supplying us with firewood, and allowing us to bring our nieces to see the farm as well. A truly great stay and we will likely be back!

This place is absolutely incredible! The kids were given memories they will never forget. The owners were extremely welcoming and very friendly. They took the time to show us their ranch. They let the kids feed the animals, let them in and out of the stables every night, something they will always remember. We will definitely be back here again. Madeline was absolutely amazing with the kids.

We had a wonderful stay on the farm, the entire family had a ton more fun than we expected. The owners welcomed us with a wonderful farm tour and our kids enjoyed seeing all of the animals. Each night the kids got to watch the animals get put away and give them little treats. By the end of our stay the kids knew all of the animals by name. In the morning they let us help get the animals ready to go out, they didn't need our help but it was great to feel like we could help them a little bit as they shared the property with us. At night we enjoyed the stars by the outdoor fire pit just steps from the apartment. This place isn't for everyone but I think anyone who loves animals will love it here, it's quite the unique property how many other places have windows that look out into the barn! Also, if you have kids that like animals this place is for you. If you like open fields this place is for you. If you like to grill right outside your door, this place is for you. Basically this is the place for you, it's 15 min for so many attractions during the day and a wonderful place to hang during the time you are here. Door county is a wonderful play to be and this is a great place to stay, we look forward to coming back!

Everything about the place was perfect! They did such a great job welcoming us and the details made the place so charming. We loved it for a sister get away!

Our family enjoyed our stay from the time we booked until we left! Tammy had dining suggestions as well as sightseeing advice. We appreciated having this location to come back to each night after exploring all Door Co. has to offer- it felt like a home away from home. The kindness and willingness to share their amazing property & animals as well as the attention to detail in the property was so very evident. You can tell they love what they do and in turn that made this stay one that my family loved!

Our family really enjoyed our stay. Tammy and her family are wonderful hosts, and the estate is beautiful. Really wonderful to see all the animals and experience the day-to-day activities that take place on the estate. Highly recommend for a Door County getaway! Love the animals. :)

A Slice of Heaven!
We had an amazing time at this most beautiful home. We drove down a white pebble driveway through geese, a pond, deer and horses and cows grazing. The horse stable abuts this home. As you enter, a beautifully adorned great room features carved fixtures, high ceilings and, wood timber beds, and a modern bathroom. Windows open to the stable and views out of every window of pastoral grounds. Our hosts left makings for s’mores and a bottle of white wine. They were kind, warm, knowledgeable about their family of horses, cows, kittens and roosters and allowed us to help with their feedings. They left us with fresh eggs. We didn’t want to leave and will be back!

Fun For All
Our host family couldn’t have been kinder or more patient. They took time out from their daily chores to let us participate. Both my hard-to-impress tween and teen loved the experience. The apartment was uniquely but tastefully decorated and spotless. My kids have already asked when we can return!
