Being inside the park is a plus, but you still need to take the little bus to go to the beach side.
The place is surrounded by a lot of nature, it's peaceful. Staff was really helpful
We would had preferred to have more place and hangers to hang our clothes inside the room.
There is a place in the balcony to dry the clothes, but it will be full since usually you are going to the beach

It's really nice to stay inside the park. The location is gorgeous, and the hotel itself is very pretty. It was easy to get to hikes and beaches. The front desk guy was very nice and we loved the views from the shared balconies. They were very helpful arranging rides etc.
Like other reviews mentioned, it takes an extremely long time to get food. You should budget at least an hour, even if it seems quiet. That's fine, more of an issue to keep in mind in the morning if you want to eat breakfast there before heading out somewhere. The food is fine, but not very much of it so we were pretty hungry. We sometimes didn't receive everything we ordered, or it didn't come as listed on the menu which again, whatever, but generally the food service is pretty bad.
The hotel lost power after a heavy rain while we were there and while they had a generator they turned it off overnight so it was pretty hot and muggy. We left underslept and very hungry, but had a great time in the park!
Oh, and the private balcony areas are not really private and the only curtains are sheer so we were pretty exposed coming out of the shower etc. There's no hot water, but we didn't miss it.

It was fantastic to see a whole family of monkeys in the tree outside of the room. Staff is not particularly competent or helpful but at least friendly.
The location is very inconvenient if you don't travel by car. It is inside the park but far from the coast, which means you have to use a bus to get to the beaches and trails. The hotel says they will help you to get a spot on the bus but this does not work in practice because the buses leave from the park entrance and are filled completely there, so you will have to take a bus to the entrance and then back to go to the beaches. Which means the benefit of staying inside the park is largely taken away as it is far from the coast and no transport is offered by the hotel.
The room we got was very small, there was barely enough space to walk around the bed. Restaurant is ok but pricy.
General take: Overpriced for what is offered. Do not expect any luxury. This is a basic little hotel in a not so good location. If you are willing to pay a little more, stay at Ecohabs Tayrona - the one at Cañaveral. A bit more expensive but much much better in every sense.

Beautiful place in nature.
Room was spacious and clean.
Comfortable beds. AC in the room.
Hammock in front of the door.
Daily cleaning.
Staff is very kind. They organized transfer to Tairona for us.
Restaurant can work so much more on their food. It was mostly tasteless. Breakfast which was included was tasteless. But also lunch or dinner food for which you pay additionally.
NOISE. This did bother me since we came to Tairona to relax, hike during the day, spend time at the beach and sleep at night. But unfortunately during our stay there was a group of people drinking by the dinner time and then continuing after. Talking loud right in front of our door (since there were tables all around our room). The room doesn’t have a glass window so there is no sound isolation. Also you can hear every step the person in the room above you takes.

The hotel offers a good dinner and lunch variation, and it is cooked fresh from scratch. The breakfast was included, and they have a good variety, including traditional Colombian breakfast. The room was clean and had all the necessities (soap, toilet paper, blankets). The location is excellent! After a long day hike, it is nice to return to a place inside the park and not have to leave the park and find additional transportation to take you to your hotel. The staff members were nice and welcoming. They took good care of us during our stay. They answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations. This is a great hotel to connect with nature and family. Wifi worked great at all times, but it was low season, which might have helped. Remember that you are in the middle of the rainforest, and things will be more pricy, but it is well worth it. Overall we will go back to this hotel and do it all over again!
We liked everything.

Angel and Ana were amazing, very dedicated and friendly staff. They made our stay even better. The location right in the park is great to reach the beaches by foot or get the bus after the entrance to get to them.
The view on the jungle and room + facilities were great.
The breakfast was delicious.
We were staying at the mirador hotel in the park before and we had to change because of the poor quality of everything and the absence of wifi. We were glad to find Yachai even if we had to add a little more money to stay there. It was really worth it.

Great facilities, beautiful location and views!
We arrived early, and were able to leave our back packs whilst did the 2hr hike to Cabo San Juan.
The lady on reception was lovely and spoke English quite well. We were able to get a shuttle to the starting point for the hike, from right out the front of the property. Was perfect for us and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area/do the hike!

The staff, the location, the amenities

AC in the room. Nature around hotel. Ice cream.
Absolutely no sound proof. No glass windows (just wooden blinds). Other room guests talks feels like they are next to you in your room (even if they speak low). Very bad food (fish frozen tasted like paper), pasta also very bad. Only fish soup was little better.

What a beautiful stay, stunning. The park is incredible and was such incredible views from the hotel. The staff were incredible, offering cocktails while we were in the jacuzzi. The room was lovely too. Would definitely recommend.
Bring bug spray! 😂

The location is set with Tayrona National Park giving you automatic access to this wonderful park. The property is natural and economically resourced. staff was friendly and helpful. they also took care of our Tayrona tickets which saved us a ton of time getting to that location. we saw monkeys, countless birds, sloths and lizards in the property. The animals are happy at this tranquil location and you will be too!
I recommend bringing in some water and snacks as there are very limited services in Tayrona National park. the only options are eco lodges and vendors at some of the beaches.
Karen - thank you for your smile and service everyday.
Front Desk staff - you are fabulous! thank you for practicing your English and letting us practice our Spanish.
Nothing! We loved our stay and had no issues.

1. the food is amazing 😋🤤 you need to try the restaurante (dinner or lunch) - it’s worth it 😉
2. people - they were really nice and cosy… we felt like we were at home 🥰
3. location - at the beginning of the park and we saw a lot of animals (monkeys, sloths, as a natural zoo 😋🤩)
1. the room - we were 5 people and the room was really small for us
2. the bathroom - only cold water and the toilet make some weird noises sometimes 😅

Nice staff, amazing scenery, saw animals at the hotel including a sloth
Cold water, limited wifi

The facilities and the staff. The receptionist, Ana, was nice and helpful with us. She facilitated us information about the park and how to explore Tayrona in the best way.

The over priced hotel room was terrible! One small window no air flow, felt like a bunker. Not really clean and beds squeeze in. Strong smell which made me want to leave immediately.
We left one day earlier and asked for a refund the answer was no. We did not expect it anyway the place was so not maintained for the money they asked.
We had to pre reserve the jacuzzi which we did but it was freezing cold so we could not use it...
Overall the stay was horrible and we ran as soon as we could organize something different. Don't waste your money or energy.
Kudos there was one really nice person at the restaurant the rest was not interested.
Nothing really to like everything to unlike.

the persons that work there are truly amazing people
way too expensive for the price, no hot shower, very few vegeterian options on the menu, room was not very clean, bed are so not comfortable

Exceptional staff, really friendly and super helpful. Stunning grounds and comfortable places to sit in the evening. Stayed another night because it was so good.
Received a last minute message saying our park tickets couldn't be arranged, which would have been a nightmare, but it was sorted out before we arrived. Entrance can be slippery in the rain.

From the moment we arrived the staff was attentive and so knowledgeable about getting around. The food was really great for solid prices and the administration was able to book us massages, taxis to the airport. The people here care about they do and it shows.
Sometimes food takes a while but only because there’s one amazing chef hand prepping each meal for a max occupancy of 20 people there. Worth the wait

We stayed here 3 nights and booked the room with a hammock outside. We really loved the place. It was very clean and the room had air con and mosquito protection infront of the windows. We also brought our own mosquito net to
cover the bed (which I would recommend in Colombia everywhere at the coast) and the staff was so nice and hang it up properly when they first cleaned the room. The water is indeed cold as in other reviews mentioned but you are literally in a national park and it is actually quite refreshing given the temperature there. Staff was very nice and friendly and spoke English too. We did not experience a long wait for food as other people did but the staff also told us it could take up one hour if not pre-ordered as they prepare everything fresh.
Not much negative to say - maybe only that calling the shuttle to get to the hiking start area did not work well. But at the end, you can just go to the main street and they will stop if you wave your hand :)

Beautiful garden, lobby, room OK, nice staff
Too expensive for what it really is. Not a 4 stars at all. 3 stars

i loved the location, close to the entrance of the park.
You have the feel of being surrounded by gorgeous nature
monkeys are close by. Their garden is the most beautiful garden
I have seen .
Thé staff is mostly a family, very sweet and caring.
They treat us above expectation.
Thé food was excellent !
a must visit !
Electricity power outage , the air conditioning will stop
at night , then comes back. But it it not too hot at night
at all.

amazing location, inside the Tayrona Park.
They took care of the entry tickets for us for a minor cost which saved us a lot of time
considering the price, we were expecting better conditions (room) and a better service (restaurant)
3.5
Beautiful scenery and property. DELICIOUS food. Really friendly staff.
rooms don’t get tidy up daily - when we hike and go to beach would be nice to get a room sweep or clean trash cans daily. breakfasts took far too long for what they were (over an hour) which meant hiking days started late. 50 min hike to the main part of park and often shuttle buses were full from main entrance
