Description was accurate. Very enjoyable stay. Close to many things to do in Tobermory and surrounding area. Host was wonderful to us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family of 5 vacation at this clean, spacious home. It had everything we needed. The location is close to Lion’s Head and Tobermory. We were able to shop, to swim on the nearby beaches and experience the different excursions Bruce Peninsula has to offer. We even spent a day at Sauble Beach which is less than an hour away. John is a very attentive and gracious host. As previously stated, the private beach is not ideal as it does not have a proper seating area or dock but we were able to put our kayak in and paddle around the beautiful calm waters surrounding the house. It truly is a beautiful getaway.

We had an amazing week here! John and Sue were wonderful. They were so friendly and generous and let our son pick vegetables from their garden and John even gave us salmon that he caught that morning which made our stay extra special! The location was great because everything we wanted to see and do was only a short drive away. The walk down to the water took less than a minute and it was really nice! The lake was beautiful, the firepit was great to have, and the house was cozy. We felt at home there! We will be back!!

John and Sue's place is perfect if you're looking for a quiet, cozy, out of the way, getaway.
It's far enough from things that it feels isolated, but close enough to tons of great places if you want a change of pace.
Water access in the area is not great, so if you're looking for a beach-y vacation, or a lake/dock setup, it's not ideal, but there are tons of great beaches and lakes in short driving distance.
John and Sue are also great hosts. Very friendly and kind, and attentive when you need them, or invisible if you don't.
Highly recommend for a small family or two couples.

Wonderful spot
The cottage is spacious, clean and brimming with natural light. It is surrounded with cedar trees and is very private and quiet as a result. Lovely front deck and fire pit on front lawn. New barbecue out back. The kitchen and bathrooms are up to date and well-equipped. Shallow and rocky waterfront down a winding, forested path as described in ad with a very private shore and dock in a secluded bay. John and Sue were welcoming and responsive hosts and responded to one plumbing problem immediately and got it fixed the next day. Great location just 10 minutes from Lion's Head and 15 minutes to Tobermory with lots to do in the area. Highly recommended.

Perfect Fall getaway!
We had a fantastic time at this rental. Location is in between Tobermory and Wiarton and in close proximity to many trails and parks. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our meals everyday. Outfitted with brand new appliances and all the tools needed for cooking large meals. The living area was very cozy and the heaters in every room thawed the chill in our bones from long days hiking. The fire pit out front was perfect for a roaring fire and roasting marshmallows. Overall we had a great time! Would definitely recommend this rental for anyone looking to getaway with a few friends and enjoys the Bruce!
