- Staff was nice especially Zehra, that’s why I am giving it a higher rating than one star. She let us check in early for free and upgraded our rooms
- Location is very good
- View from our room was to twin flame towers
- Lack of Hygiene, there’s dust all over the room and restroom, the sheets are stained yellow
- Mattress is so old and hard to sleep on
- Breakfast is very poor and there’s only one employee there to do all the work
- Rooms that are on lower ground are noisey because of the kids
- Booking says it’s 5 stars but Google says its a 3 star, to me it’s 2 stars.

The rate charged by this Hotel is way too high for the value it offers. The cleanliness is definitely questionable. The pillows had marks. The Bed had stains. There is literally no view from the room. Even they don't follow special requests placed at the time of booking. The location also is a little difficult to get to & slightly away from the main Nizami area. Better Value Hotels are available in the vicinity.
A lot - Basics of Hotel Management are missing. Service with a smile is required. Cleanliness is a no compromise. And this was lacking.

Walking distance to almost all tourist spot in baku, 8-10 mins walk to the center, nizami street
Not sound proof room. Stayed at room 304. I think it’s the restaurant at the top, can the noise from there.

Nice hotel in the middle of old town, major old town attractions are all walking distance. Spacious clean room. Helpful staff ( which make a stay always more pleasant )
Old town is extremely nice and obviously comes with some minor inconveniences, accessibility is rather limited but hey staying in old town is worth way more than the limited accessibility.

A warm welcome. Comfortable, clean and big room. Nice staff. A very convenient position in the old town.

The hotel is located in the old centre of Baku so you can reach the main attractions walking. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is really kind: they offered us the room upgrade and the free late check out.
Absolutely reccomended!
Nothing: all was ok!

All staff were excellent. Facility is very boutique cozy, clean and good location. We really enjoyed our stay...
We think in each room Qibla (Makka) direction marked clearly and visible. Some hotels place a mark in the ceiling or drawer so those who are interested can easily find their direction for prayer.

The fitness room/gym was small but well equipped. It had a full array of good dumbbells up to 27.5 kg, a number of benches, a solid barbell with plenty of plates, and a chin-up/dip station among other machines. It is far better than the average hotel gym. Also, the sauna was excellent: dry heat, very hot, and you can douse the rocks with water. The breakfast spread was good. The location is another plus.

Rooms are really big and nicely equipped. Fairly clean
If you locate yourself at the 3rd floor, you will hear some noises from the restaurant situated above.

The manager Emil was amazing
The regular people were not there at the counter on the last two days as it was Eid. The ones there did not have a clue and were not effective

So many excellent things: the staff, especially Yulia, Yusuf and Emir were excellent, very helpful, English speaking and responsive. We left at 3.30am for an early return flight the staff organised a packed breakfast for us! The rooms were an excellent size; good breakfast variety; restaurant staff were very good, the views from the restaurant over the Flame Towers and from the third floor very relaxing balcony garden were simply outstanding. The hamam and sauna are free for guests, just book it in advance. Bottles of water are provided daily and more available on request. The location is excellent, the decor is beautiful. We had a very comfortable stay.
The location is a bit of an uphill cobbled walk from Fountain Square, ok for young people but hard work a few times a day for older people. If getting a taxi order it from the Içerişehir metro station which is nearer to the hotel. Don't tug the bedroom curtains as they came off the hooks quite a few times. The breakfast plates were all chipped but replaced immediately the next day after we raised this. The breakfast area floor could do with a good clean.

Superb location, nice breakfast, small but very cool gym, amazing garden and outstanding view from the restaurant on the 4th floor.

The breakfast was good. The room was large and comfortable. The architecture is nice. The location is very good.
The executive suite is located under the dining room. At night (10pm and 4am) there was a noises of dragging furniture and we couldn't sleep. .
In addition - it takes ages to get espresso or cappuccino in the breakfast.

I had a fantastic stay at the Shirvanshah Hotel. Really good location (old city) and close to metro station. Good size of the room with comfortable bed and great amenities. Restaurant area located on the 4th floor where you can get a stunning view of the city. Breakfast was good and varied. Least but not last big thank you for all staff who made my stay memorable especially Emil the hotel manager and the night receptionist gentleman. I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Location is in the heart of Old City.
Staff was approachable and friendly. Mineral water bottles are available from the reception free of charge.
It is possible to order takeaway meals from the restaurant at Level 4 and consume inside the room.
Facilities were a little old. Windows, curtains and wardrobe were broken even though still functional.
There was too much softener added in the bathroom water, resulting in soap unable to rinse off completely with water. Not sure if this problem is due to city utility supply or the hotel itself.
Traffic access around Old City was heavily restricted during the F1 race period. Caused inconvenience in transferring to and fro the airport.

Everything! We stayed for 3 days to celebrate my Dad’s birthday and the hotel gave us a free upgrade, the room was gorgeous! They also offered us a lovely cake and prepared hammam in the evening. The stuff is very attentive and helpful, the location is just perfect, breakfast is various and delicious and the view from
the rooftop terrace is breathtaking! Absolutely loved the place, I’ll definitely come back!

Location is perfect and breakfast had verity of food. It was a peaceful experience.
I wish they could let me know more about BAKU and how I can enjoy my stay their. Also, the driver provided for Baku trip did not speak English. It should have been considered because of extra money and I was a tourist and did not speak local language.
4.5
It has a great ambience and is located well
If you are looking for something with a great atmosphere, I would reccomend
It is not a luxurious hotel, but definitely worth it if you are looking for a local city vibe
