About this house rental
The Sherman Home is located right in downtown Williams, AZ, within a few minutes walking distance of historic RT 66 and the Grand Canyon Railway station. Williams, AZ is the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, located on Interstate 40 and just 30 minutes drive to the City of Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon Railroad, also called the Polar Express at Christmas time, is walking distance, 3 blocks away from this wonderful home. This is a perfect location to explore the Grand Canyon , Historic RT66, Bearizona, the Deer Farm, downtown Williams, Bill William's Mountain, and miles of roads, hiking and biking trails in the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine Forest in the world, Coconino National Forest. Go online and check out all the area attractions and RT66 historical shops located nearby.
The Sherman House was built in 1954, has been completely remodeled, while maintaining that feeling and appeal of the old history of Williams. This home is built with your family in mind inside and out. Plenty of area for everyone to enjoy, including a larger spectacular wrap around deck overlooking a flag stone patio centered in the middle of the fenced yard surrounded by trees. Have a cook -out on the gas grill or just relax in the patio chairs and take in the clean fresh air.
The downstairs features a large living room with a big screen TV, WiFi, a sitting area, master bedroom suite, and a second bedroom with adjacent bathroom. For cold winter nights there is a large wood burning stove in the downstairs living area.
The kitchen features solid surface counter tops, large pantry, large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, toaster, plates, dishes, you name it to meet your needs. Upstairs has 2 more bedrooms and a wonderful loft with a sectional, smart TV, and WiFi for the kids. One bedroom upstairs is a suite with an attached bathroom while the other bedroom has a balcony with wonderful views of trees, the surrounding town, and those amazing sunsets Arizona is known for. The home has central Air Conditioning which is a rare find in this area. Oh.. and did we mention the tankless water heater supplying unlimited amounts of hot water?
There is great winter access to the home on paved road maintained by the City of Williams. We have snow service provided for you during the winter months for getting in and out of the driveway.
This home is on City Water and City Sewer. That is a huge plus in this area because many homes outside the city limits have a limited water supply due to the fact that they have haul water to the house.

Clean, family friendly stay. Great communication, easy check in process

This property filled our need to have several adults share accommodations for a family reunion held at the Williams KOA campground. It was within walking distance to downtown, and a few minutes ride to the gathering. Having three bathrooms as well as several private bedrooms, two living room areas plus a large kitchen table made our stay enjoyable.

All of house has not been updated. Needs a front entrance light that works. House needs deep cleaning esp bathrooms. Upstairs needs to be updated esp old carpet. Would suggest you use white towels and sheets so can bleach, walking distance to downtown area.

We loved the quiet neighborhood so close to downtown. Th proximity to the Grand Canyon National Park and a number of other attractions (Walnut Canyon, Wupatiki NM, Seligmann ...) is also a plus.

We enjoyed our stay and that it was walking distance to downtown Williams which is an awesome little town.

Williams is a great little Western town with cute shops and fun restaurants. We took the grandkids on the train to the Grand Canyon and they loved it! The next day we drove back up for more fun. The Deer Farm and Mountain Coaster were other fun escapades. Great host! Very responsive. Plenty of room for the 7 of us with beds to spare! We would definitely go back.

Totally recommend the property and host. The house is very confortable and very well equiped. Judy was very attentive and concerned about our safety (we were arriving after a snow storm), giving advices and suggestions and making us feel very warmly hosted.
Thanks Judy!

Property was clean and spacious. Close to downtown Williams and 4 hours from the Grand Canyon. Great place for a family getaway or small family reunion. Only disappointment was the lack of amenities such as shampoo, shower soap, and extra paper towels.

This house in Williams was the perfect place for our family of ten to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon. It's in a great location...a block or so from the main street in Williams. Super clean, very nice, lots of space, etc. The owner communicated really well and was super clear on everything related to the house. A great experience!

Loved the house. A lot of beds (6), great deck and backyard and only 2 blocks from Route 66 downtown. The host was responsive to texts, and available if needed. Would definitely stay in this house again. Thank you!!!

Just a bunch of coworkers in town for a wedding. Perfect house for a large party of adults, lots of beds and lots of space!

Plenty of beds upstairs but need half bath for all the beds. Only one full bathroom for one room upstairs. Would be nice if soaps and shampoos and detergent provided. Need more lighting in the kitchen. Easy checking in and out and very easy communicate with owner. Thanks Judy!

The house was perfect for our family of 7. Two large bedrooms downstairs and a ton of space upstairs for my daughter and her family. The kitchen had everything we needed. The backyard was big enough for my grandchildren to play in the snow and the location is perfect. I would definitely stay again if visiting Williams. Loved it.

We loved our stay here, came for my Dad's 70th birthday and pictures don't do the home justice. The layout and space was great for all of us (five adults, two kids) and the location to all Williams had to offer made the home even better. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was spacious - more than we needed for our family of 5 - and very clean and well maintained. The location is excellent. Just about a 10 minute walk to get on the train or 5 minutes to all the shops and restaurants on Route 66. We would definitely stay there again!

We chose Williams as our place to stay during our visit to the Grand Canyon. This house was perfect as far as a rental home. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths was very accommodating for the 3 couples that were in our group. The property is very clean and is equipped with everything that you need. The town of Williams is a nice little town and has a few things touristy to do as well. It is quite a ways from the Grand Canyon, however if you want to stay closer to the Grand Canyon, prices increase dramatically as well. This home far exceeds our expectations for the price we paid.

We loved our family weekend at the Sherman House. It was clean and spacious in a great location. Part of the family hiked the Grand Canyon, the rest enjoyed Bearizona. It was nice to have a comfortable place to gather at the end of the day. Within walking distance was a large selection of fantastic restaurants.

Nice place to stay for our Grand Canyon visit
The house is just as described. Very clean and very quiet neighborhood close to downtown. Only negatives were the upstairs bathroom can only be accessed by crossing through one of the bedrooms and the stairway is very steep (so not for anyone with mobility issues). Lovely home with a lot to offer.

Grand Canyon Stay
Property was very nice but due to some unfortunate last minute circumstances the check out process was a rocky one and the owner developed a very poor attitude and did not act very professionally.

Great stay
We had a good time for the most part.
We had 7 adults and two children and had enough of everything.
One suggestions.
1) new mattress for master downstairs . It was kind of taco-ish and hard to get out of.

Great House!
We loved staying here! Extremely clean, very nice, and attention to detail with everything we needed. Plenty of room with living rooms upstairs and downstairs. Loved sitting by the fireplace at night after our days at the Grand Canyon and watching the sunset from the deck upstairs. Nice neighborhood close to historic Route 66 with shops and restaurants to walk to. Also found a great place to run through the mountains from the neighborhood. We had an excellent stay!

Mom's 60th birthday
We rented this property for my mom's birthday so we could visit Sedona/Grand Canyon. We traveled with 5 adults & 2 children & there was more than enough room for everyone. The house is bigger than it appears in pictures & within walking distance of downtown & a grocery store. We didn't use the outdoor area much because it was a bit cold during our stay, but the deck & yard would be nice in the summer.
