I only wish our stay was longer!
This house was perfect for our family of brothers, sisters, cousins & parents to get together and enjoy the Asheville area. The house slept all of us comfortably and the amenities for outstanding. A beautiful deck for early morning coffees and late afternoon relaxing. I would surely consider staying here again.

This is a really fantastic property. Everything is as advertised and in great condition. We had plenty of space for our group of seven adults each sleeping in their own bed. This house would work great for a couple of families - 3 comfortable king/queen suites plus 2 nice bunk room suites for lots of kids. Lots of sitting and gathering areas inside and out. The location is great. It is very convenient to the town of Black Mountain, but you are essentially on a private, quiet sub-peak of the mountain looking over the valley from the back deck. Hoping to come back for a vacation with my family soon!

Our 2 families of 5 had a wonderful stay. The lodge is spacious, we were all able to find our own space! The kids slept in the basement and enjoyed the air hockey and the hot tub. One family slept on the main floor. The other family slept on the second floor. We cooked and ate at the lodge and also out at restaurants. It was convenient having an Ingles at the bottom of the mountain. Thank you for sharing your lodge with us.

Place was amazing! Location was perfect. My husband saw a bear in the driveway! That was very cool. House was very clean! There were only a couple things we did not like. There is no fire pit or bonfire area. They said it’s a community ordinance. A cabin in the mountains….. that is a must! The listing needs to say that. The kitchen needs different pots and frying pans and definitely a griddle. We had a heck of a time trying to make breakfast every day while we were there. The pans are terrible. And you definitely need more than 1 hand towel and dish cloths. Overall, place was great location was perfect.

We had a great time celebrating a birthday weekend and staying in the cabin. Everyone said it was beautiful, peaceful, and wished we had booked it longer. We will return.

Great house. Loved the layout.
Mountain views were good. Could do some tree trimming to allow for more mountain top views. Could also do some brush trimming to allow for better views into the forest floor surrounding the property.
Supplies were a little lean. Not enough paper towels, laundry tablets, dishwasher tablets, dish towels, coat hangers, or hand soap. In generally, kitchen was minimally stocked. We made do, but it needs work.
You'll also have to deal with paying fees to VRBO and a 4th party called Carolina Mornings. They'll add additional paperwork and stipulations.
Everything else was great.

We had a wonderful experience on this property. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious, everything and more than we could have wanted for a celebration with friends and family. We hiked, visited Asheville a few times, hung out, cooked, and had an amazing time. Thank you!

Was fine. Kitchen was not adequate with utensils and cookware.
The air hocked and foosball tables were not well maintained.
Air hockey paddles were broken and we had to repair them repeatedly.
Foosball handles were missing or slipping off. One or two of the players were not functioning.
Cornhole bags were leaking sand.

My family really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very convenient to downtown Black Mountain, downtown Asheville, and The Blue Ridge Parkway. The house is very quiet with really comfy rooms, and lots of space to hangout with family or take some time to yourself. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Beautiful
Perfect family retreat. Beautiful surroundings. Lodge and location great. Nice layout, tons of seating in and out, for conversation. Playroom is great. We understand well water like septic systems, require a little understanding. Bathing has to be reserved/assigned. One person can shower at a time and you can't run the D/W or the washer. Be mindful of what you flush. NP for us, the location was well worth it. We used the hot tub and grill with NP. Beds, TVs, AC, all good. Towels not fancy but fine. Kitchen was basically well stocked with plenty of mugs, glasses, utensils, cookie sheets and OK flatware. The scratched IKEA dinnerware should be replaced. Four different coffee makers. The K-cup machine, which is our preferred, was one cup at a time, and slow. There was a blender, lots of plastic pitchers, an electric mixer, cheese grater, strainer, measuring cup, plenty of cookie sheets and utensils. Serving containers were limited; one nice large salad bowl, two ceramic rectangular casserole dishes, one ceramic soufflé bowl and one platter. I'm a cook and I missed having more mixing bowls but there were three large stainless ones. There are only 3 pots and 2 skillets. I managed. D/W was unstable and needs attention, but works. In two of the walk-in closets, there were desks and lamps. So funny, I had to take a photo. My son-in-law, greatly appreciated the private work space. One of the smoke alarms started beeping so my husband called the after-hours phone number and got a quick repair. I had a question about using the Mountain Discovery Pass at the Biltmore so I called the management office only to find that it isn't open to help with that on weekends. Do your homework. Asheville close and loads of outdoor areas to explore. Little trick in directions. On the last stretch of the drive to the house, there is a Y, go left or you end up in someone else's driveway. Not well marked. Best of all, WE SAW BLACK BEAR, once near the lodge and three times crossing roads. So cool, but don't feed or approach. Pretty sure they live in peace with the community. Also saw wild turkey. Saw the owner once working on the road not far from the house. Nice, quiet guy. Book now for family fun. Great place!

Aunties and Nieces
Wonderful property - you feel away from it all, when in actuality, you are close to the fun city of Black Mountain and the Ingles grocery store. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

Beautiful but slightly disappointed.
The home was beautiful however the reason we stayed there instead of hotel was to have multiple bathrooms to get ready for a wedding. There was not enough water coming out of shower in upstairs bathrooms to take a shower (even with no one else using the water). Everyone went to the basement to take a shower. Also we really wanted to have the fireplace at night and mornings but the gas fireplace did not work.

Amazing!
This property was perfect for my group of 8! It was a much needed getaway for all of the couples especially because of COVID. We all needed a change of scenery and a chance to relax, regroup, and recharge. I’m so glad I chose this rental. Not only did it look exactly like the photos but the communication was seamless from beginning to end and the rental had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Matt thanks for being so gracious salting the driveway and main road after the snow so we could get out to enjoy brunch in downtown Asheville. I would definitely book this rental again in the future. Black Mountain owes us nothing! Thanks Carolina Mornings for such an AMAZING stay,

Fabulous Mountain Getaway
The house was exactly as advertised. With 2 families including 5 teenagers, the house was perfect. 5 Master bedroom suites certainly gave everyone their privacy. Plenty to do; great basement entertainment area with natural wood fireplace; quiet upstairs sitting area with gas fireplace; spacious kitchen table with comfortable seating for 10. Not a single detail overlooked. We definitely hope to be back in the future.

House was a gorgeous log cabin. Very spacious, perfect for 2-3 families. Fun game room and plenty of outdoor verandas and patio furniture. Great round dining table with lazy Susan. Lots of windows, fireplace and seating. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Truly a perfect place to stay. Great location to Asheville. The only things we would suggest is to have better Wi-Fi (it’s a little slow), the fireplace wall remote is not working so in order to turn on gas fireplace we had to lean inside and turn the pilot light on. Not the safest thing to do. We will notify property manager. Lastly, the outdoor patio cushions should be washed and the deck should also be washed or dusted to remove spider webs. We had a wonderful time and would rent this house again. We highly recommend it.

Black Mountain Paradise
We had a family gathering with 10 adults and 9 month old. What a fabulous retreat. No neighbors and nothing but the sounds of the wind blowing through the trees and the sounds of nature. All 5 king size suites had comfortable beds and plenty of space. The DR table with seating for 10 with a Lazy Susan centered in the table made it so nice for all of us during meals and evening games. A wonderful place which I’m sure we will return to in the future. A solid choice!!

Lovely mountain getaway
This house was just as it looked in the listing. It is huge and lovely. We had a little trouble getting the internet code right, and the property manager answered us immediately. We were warned about the steep road getting there and it was very doable. There was a huge storm which knocked out the a/c. Even though it wasn't fixable in one day, the owner did his best. Over all, it was quite nice.

Great property!
Perfect place for mini college reunion for 4 couples. Each of us had our own master suite. The great room and huge deck with rockers made for ideal conversation areas. Can't say enough about this place. Ideal location for taking advantage of all the area has to offer.

Perfect cabin for multiple families
The cabin was beautiful and perfectly designed to support multiple families traveling together. The wood throughout is amazing! The different seating areas and game areas were perfectly balanced; our group came together in different combinations in the various different areas through our stay. We never felt like we were intruding upon one another's space. Love the huge kitchen table that seated all 10 of us together! Can't say enough about this beautiful cabin!

Grea my house. Great location.
The house was clean, planned to accommodate large groups perfectly, and beautifully located. The view was magnificent. Hikes, groceries, restaurants, and shops close by. Asheville 15 to 20 minutes away, and a very easy drive. You can stay here and do it all. We will return with this group, and others.

Perfect group mountain getaway
This is the PERFECT house for groups! The beds were all big, and the master bed is SUPER cozy— we didn’t want to leave. The jetted tub in the bath was a nice plus too! The kitchen has all the utensils you need to cook and the views are stunning!
There is both a wood and gas burning fireplace, that we took advantage of plus a great hot tub. The only downside was there is no outdoor firepit, but it would have been too cold anyways.
Lots of games to play, plenty of seating and just overall exactly what you want in a log cabin.
Warning, the road up is super steep And narrow— I was nervous to drive it, but we made it.
We definitely plan on staying here again and I cannot thank the owners enough for letting us stay!
